Great when you can log in. The app is always logging me out and then not letting me log back in. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get back into it. So annoying. Also, the app does not show all of the membership discounts I get like it does on the website. Example - VIP parking for members is an upgrade price of $35 on the website. The app states it's $70.
Rating 3 stars for the following reasons. Can't really research well on the map without clicking. There's also no list view which would be so helpful. Lastly, I really wish I could plan out my day within the app by pinning shows and stops by times and locations within the app like I've done with other amusement parks. Overall, better than nothing, but could use some improvements
The app is certainly a must-have, but could use some improvement. I didn't experience the same problems linking tickets as other reviewers. Purchasing additions in park (all-day dining) was seamless and took maybe a minute before appearing in my purchases. The navigation is a minor frustration. When selecting navigate the path doesn't appear on the map unless the corresponding filter (attraction, show, exhibit) is selected. This adds an extra tap and confused my parents.
4/2018 - This new version is terrible and not helpful compared to the previous version. If you are not new to the park, it is not worth the download. 8/2024 - Years later, and I try the app again. Still not that great. I still get the "unexpected error" when I try to look at the park schedule or other pages. Your passes are not saved on the app, it links you to the website where you have to log in to get your pass info. It is best to just take a screenshot of your passes.
The overall concept of an app for an amusement park is great but I have yet to find one that is executed well. The App continually froze on me requiring me to force it to shut down to restart it. It did not inform me of when specific rides (Darkoaster) or restaurant (Squire's Grill) were closed. The directions it provided me to get to the pantheon from the entrance took me through restricted areas. Just an overall poor experience.
It does tell me which rides are open or not, but you need to add wait times. Some rides do have wait times but they are extremely inaccurate. The rest of the app is great for when I go. Edit: The app now always says, "An unexpected error occurred" when I open it. Please fix this. Update: I can't use the map as when I try to open it it says network connection error even though I have a good network connection. Please fix
When you can login, the app is great. If you have the other apps for their other parks, then you run the risk of getting locked out. 1st made my acct for Busch Tampa, then Adventure Island, the Aquatica, then Sea World. some reason could not login to the app, had to reset password, now have to reset password every time I try to log in. fix this
App is garbage. Purchased tickets and the email confirmation says to download app to make it easier to keep and manage tickets. I downloaded the app, signed in, and cannot view my ticket purchases. Nothing shows up. Called support and they were of no help. No option on the app to link my purchases either. They either just show up thru the email you used to purchase and login to the app with or they just don't show up at all. App is totally useless.
This app remains bad. It doesn't even remember which park you're in (or use GPS to determine that automatically). A lot of it is just an interface to their website, key parts of which (the park map) weren't working during my last trip. Rides were closed, both temporarily and all day, and the app showed nothing about that. Wait times seem random - there's no system (unlike at Disney) that measures them.
This is very similar to the Sea World app and is similarly poor. The map gets confused when filtering, is not accurate in terms of which paths are open or closed and is just generally a pain to use. It does have ride times, for some of the rides, not all, and those times may or may not be accurate, so absolutely useless. At one point it showed a ride was closed even though I was in the line and it was operational. Like everything else in the park it is bare minimum effort unless taking money.
This app has so many constant errors to the point that you can't even use it for its intended purposes. For example, you can't upload your passes to the app for use, you can't check times for dining, you have to download menus instead of just seeing it on the app (which is a problem if you are low on space) and almost anywhere you go in the app, you will be met with the message "unknown error." This app is absolutely terrible; it's as if nobody bothers to upkeep it.
There are no positives to this app. The map is extremely difficult to use and, quite often, has you turning in circles. As others have said, it does NOT link tickets well- so adding perks or upgrading your tickets through the app is impossible. Wait times for rides are usually not even VISIBLE. If they are, they're probably not correct. SEVERAL rides were even closed throughout the day but we had to walk to them to find out. Overall, this app isn't worth the hassle. Good luck!
Definitely needs a major overhaul from design to UI. It's not able to link my ticket from the same email. There is no way to link the ticket yourself or search for it by number. It's very lacking. Seems to process very slow. I expect frequent crashes to happen while I'm there, even though they recommend you download said app to streamline things. I'm not seeing an option to look at wait times on the map or on the description pages of the rides themselves. Please get with the times and fix this.
Wait times were never even close. Nothing in the park was running due to thunderstorms but wait times were still listed. App closed anout 1/2 of the times we tried to open it. Even though we were in the park and just had it opened we would have to choose a location every time. Save the hassle and just use the paper map.
Totally disappointed, I bought the platinum annual pass, everything is extremely expensive, they charm you with all kinds of discounts, everything is a lie, the discount at Quiq Queue is a big BS, because it is very expensive even with a discount and they are totally disorganized and lazy, it is not worth paying anything, you will stand in line maybe a few minutes less than General admission. If you are lucky, may you take 3-4 rides in a whole day if you go in the morning
Ok, well the repeated sign out issue is fixed. But now, I've had to switch my membership payment plan, and there's no way to get the app to show the new passes. Customer service says they have to completely reset the account to reflect the new passes, and that takes weeks. Yeah....weeks. This app is still a hot mess. Won't even just let me add/link the new passes. Or my kid's passes, for that matter. So useless
I bought tickets a little short of a week ago. You're told to download the app because it's your ticket. several times I've downloaded the app, attempted to create an account but keep getting the same error message saying you can't create an account at this time. one star rating is a little more than it deserves seeing if you spend several hundred dollars on tickets and meal plans but a basic app is unusable.
