This was my very first Cruise not alone my very real vacation. I’ve never been any where ever. Vista made my first experience on a Cruise the most memorable one ever The staff, all entertainers especially my favorite the Motown entertainers talent was simply amazing. They made each night Motown , Disco night so much fun. Love how they engage with the people. Their vocals was so on point to each song. The band was double time the best ever. Was so impressed by them. The host who directed everything she was fantastic, words just can not describe how well she was. I fell in love with her and I’m not gay either lol. But that’s how much I was taking by her. Again the staff who work so hard did such a wonderful job and their patience and kindness was simply amazing. I pray they are honored for the hard work they do and do excellently well. They are the ones who made this vacation amazingly great for me and I’m sure for others. I also amended the sailing crew who navigate throughout the whole Cruise. Now I truly give a amazing applause to these men if women help to them too. Wow I’m speechless on how smooth the ship moved I felt like I was on air These guys help me take in all the beauty of God’s open sea , sky and wonderful breeze To just really relax and take in the beauty and experience of it all. Thank you Carnival Vista for my very first Cruise experience and making it one to memory forever. Yes I can do this again and again and again lol.

Using the app was nice and for the most part easy. At times it was hard to locate something but it is very useful and mostly required to communicate on board. Meaning to check-in at your assigned dining spot before you go to it at your assigned time. Or to depart the ship is only through the app. It's very helpful to see what is open or to view what is being served.

It was great to be able to plan my days and time in advance! Being able to view ship maps when I was lost or confused was also helpful. I really liked the chat feature because I could stay in touch with my friends while on the boat without having to purchase the full WiFi package. Overall, great app, but I did get frustrated a bit with getting kicked off the boat WiFi regularly.

Made attending events and planning so much easier, but didn't like that I had to be on their wifi and in airplane mode. I had switch back and forth between cellular data and airplane mode with wifi to use internet and get texts and calls on land and back to wifi airplane mode to get messages and check menus and other things on the app, but other than that, I really liked how much easier it was to find things.

only issue I had was making sure it was accurate. did have to completely log out and then back in again several times to get it to update, but other than that it was nice to be able to track account, check into dinner, look at activities, menus ect from your room or wherever the ship may take us!! just need to plan another cruise so I can use it again!!

Loved the app. It made it very easy to keep up with everything going on with the boat. Where to eat, what's on the menu, what activities are going on, all the amenities and where everything is located, your account location, your bill summary, boarding and unloading, literally everything. It was extremely useful and very easy to use

This was our first cruise in 17 years. My husband and I got to bring our 16 year old daughter and her friend for their first ever cruise. So much is different (in a good way) and so many things the same- also in a good way. First, I love how dining is set up now with a range of time to eat, but still get the same waiter. I was worried about that because we all know they make up part of our fun by getting to know us. I loved that we could see the menu ahead of time on the hub and check in. I also loved the Hub with the events and details of the day and how they are categorized by food/drinks/ shopping/etc…. It was a great way to plan your day ahead of time (My last cruise was still with a piece of paper slid under your door nightly that you had less time to plan your day AND had to keep track of all day!) Last, but not least, I loved to see a lot of the old things that made me fall in love with Carnival when I was 13- every single employee is friendly, says hello and smiles; they work hard to make every person’s vacation relaxing while working hard to keep the ship clean; the fun, music and tricks at dinners, along with the personalization of them learning our names (cabin stewards also); the photographers to catch those special moments, and just all the fun with the staff and fellow cruisers. It’s exactly what I told my daughter it would be like. Thanks for another great one Carnival- it won’t be another 17 years before our next one!

Wow! My first cruise and I think I need an intervention. We spent the past 6 day’s on the Horizon with ports of call in Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We had rain the first day and a half, but there was plenty to keep our two boys entertained and of course the bars are always open. We had dinner the first night at “Bonsai”. The only negative was that children were supposed to eat free, as we were in the “Family Harbor” suite. This was not the case at “Bonsai”. No clear explanation was given. Beyond this one hiccup, we had a blast. We ate dinner most nights on the Lido Market Place on deck 10. We did have breakfast/brunch at the Meridian Restaurant on deck 3, and the food/service was excellent, especially the French Toast, amazing! By far our favorite place to eat was “Guy’s Burgers” on the pool deck, as well as the 24hr Pizza aft deck 10. Our “Family Harbor” room was comfortable, and efficient with 2 bathrooms(1 tub/shower combo and 1 shower with commode. There was plenty of closet/drawer space for the 4 of us. I recommend bringing along an extra hotel key card to keep from having to use your sail-n-sign card for the main lighting and power on while you’re tout and about. Our room steward Ketut was amazing with any/all requests, and he always called us by name. Our towel animals were the highlight each evening to see what was waiting for us. Sad to have to leave them behind, but we know their in good hands!

The app is great for keeping up with what's going on around the ship. You can also view your Pixel photos on the app which is great. there is much more that the app does! The one down side to this app is the chat feature. You are supposed to be able to txt or chat with everyone in your party - which would be great but the texts have extreme lag, if they send at all. Just needs some fine tooning but a great idea.

Liked the app for planning purposes while onboard. I do wish the chat feature was a free service. Everyone in our group had issues at one time or another with the chat feature(ex. not getting a notification that someone had sent you a message, and thus having to constantly check the chat feature to see if someone sent you a message).

great app to use, with minor complaints The chat app and when they have special events that requires you to buy tickets like the silent party (ticket didn't show on app for event), the chat app was aggravating because of the need to constantly look and see if you received new messages. It would not send notifications if someone messaged you. It used to send messages on the first 2 days of 8, but it stopped.

This app worked well for keeping up-to-date with events and so much more happenings on the cruise ship, including communicating with family on board. There were some connection issues (why I gave 4 stars), but minor once you refreshed the app, it worked well again. It was good having this app AND the daily hardcopy schedule. I enjoyed the entire cruise. Thanks!!

This app is simple and easy to use. you can keep track of the cruise schedule, various activities and events around the ship, create group chats with friends and family, RSVP restaurants, and keep track of your funds! Only real downsides are the texting lag and the notifications. You have to consistently check the app for messages as the notifications work only when they want to. Also texts tend to come in late at times.

I do like many of the features of the app. I love that it works with my watch. I love that I can plan out my day and it will alert me 15 minutes before hand. I love the where to eat and menus. I love the weather portion. I love when I am on the ships that my pictures go to my phone. I am sorry but I have better things to do than to dig through 8 million pictures of other people. Also talk about the environmental impact. But my family of six paid 5 dollars each for the chat option. $30 dollars and it hardly ever worked. I am not sure if it was just the ship (Dream) or what but by the time anyone got the chat message we had already wondered the whole ship and found each other. One of the reasons I got it was for the safety of my three daughters. Nice to know if they needed me I would have been there at least a half hour late. Future upgrades ideas. It would we great to be able to see on your phone in real time the boats location, Speed, direction, eta of the port, etc. might include a UV index on the weather portion. Maps of the islands. Points of interest on the island. Safety messages about each island. Texting out the message that the cruise director was trying to say. Notifications of sales in the fun shops. How could the app be used for single people wanting to meet some one? Could it be used to find my wife or kids by letting us share location like floor, and bow, mid, and aft? That should get you started.

this app connected free to the ships wifi . it left notifications and let us know when our event was going to start and had all the events going on on the ship, including what food area was open and let you sign up for dinners. I would like it if it let you add payments, not just see your bill. also, it would be nice to have a credit notification. so you could set notifications if you get to a certain limit. when you got several people (kids) on the same account, I was checking the bill daily.

I’ve had the greatest time on my first cruise to Cozumel and Yucatán MEX. My housekeeper Todding was awesome and always checked on me and made sure that me and my roommate had everything that we needed. My waiter Carlos from Wind Song dinner restaurant who is originally from Peru was fantastic and he always made sure that we had the best service and well flavored meals. We never had to wait for a long time for our food and he told us the best meals to pick each night based on our appetite. The cruise director Tyler was phenomenal!!! He always was the start of the show when it came to night parties on the upper outside deck, deck 10. Tyler was also very complimentary about his staff calling them a family and allowing for the guest to take a picture of the staff in the Blue Sapphire stage room. He even complimented my cowboy hat as I was leaving the ship on our departure time when it was time to leave the ship at the end of the cruise. I would highly recommend going on a Carnival Cruise at least once or twice just to get the experience to travel by ship and the extraordinary guest service you can ever have when being on a vacation. I mark Carnival Cruise with 4 stars because any company can always do better and improvement is always needed; however, Carnival Ecstasy does deserve 4 stars as I would like to go on another Carnival cruise knowing that l’ll have the best guest service, be feed well, and have endless entertainment throughout my vacation time.

Overall, the app was useful for seeing what was happening on the ship at all times. It also came in handy when scheduling dinner. The chat feature is an easy way for family and friends to keep in touch while on board. Unfortunately, there were hiccups with the wifi, and I had to keep reconnecting to the ship's wifi in order to utilize the hub app.

worked well for me. did not work well for others in my group. I like that it has what's happening on the ship, and you are able to view menus. did not like that sometimes the messages sent in the hub weren't received until hours later. some people in my group it didn't work at all. we knew it wasn't a guarantee. would help if notifications would come through without having the app pulled up.

mostly good but needs improvement. app is terrible for searching for things and knowing where things are on the ship. app should be able to identify where you are on the ship, provide directions to help navigate. food and drink was always a day ahead of the actual day. very frustrating. there should also be a venue list showing you all the activities in that location instead of going through the entire itinerary for the day.

Loved the Chat idea, but wouldn't get notifications when messages were received and that was part of the app you had to pay for. Family group paid for the chat to keep up with one another but wouldn't see/get messages as needed. All other parts of the app itself worked well. Map feature would be move effective if it could navigate where you were to where you wanted to go.

I liked how the app was laid out and all the different features and the texting options. However, at times, it was near unusable. It would disconnect and would not reconnect for hours sometimes. It would lead to a lot of confusion for our party trying to coordinate certain event times. Half of our group would be able to chat and the other half would be unable to get the app to load properly. Regardless I still have a fun time and would do it all over again. :)

Not a bad app, but sometimes takes too long to load, but that has more to do with a ship's poor wi-fi connection. Notifications are super slow and often don't even push to phone notifications which can be really bad for time sensitive things like digital debark process. Chat is the same way, does not push to phone at all, so have to check in-app to see if you got a message. Overall, not bad, but needs improvement.

Great for event times, but it was horrible for chat. We struggled to get chat notifications and to get chats through to each other. This has actually always been my experience with this app, but for some reason, I stupidly purchase the chat feature in hopes that substantial improvements have been made. There's a long way to go with the chat feature.

The app is OK, but has a lot of flaws. Unfortunately, our pictures, never showed up until the price increased per picture by $5 each. We weren't able to resolve issues with app, everything has to be done down at customer service, which takes from your overall experience, not to mention the time it takes to deal with customer service (it can take hours).

App lags, difficult to log in, had to close and open the app throughout the cruise vacation. Difficulty keeping up to date with current events on the app. Ship time, making reservations, having access to the itinerary, even book marking which events we were interested in was very helpful. Only problem was actually having the app to work. When it worked it was very convenient and helpful.
