The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Colorado Springs, CO is a very nice property with such helpful staff and a parking situation that absolutely stinks!! Parking is next door and shared with a bank which claims the bottom floor from 9-5 weekdays . That leaves the uncovered top floor for hotel guests…..several inches of snow and ice overnight and a steep slippery ramp to get up. Not fun…Hotel looks very new and clean. Housekeeping was great. Very quiet during my four days in town for a family surgery. Staff, especially Billie Jo and Ramon were particularly kind and helpful to me as a mature woman doing her first solo cross country trip. There were a few glitches, like when the heater in my room scared the life out of me when it had some kind of breakdown that caused it to starts sounding like two giant gongs were clanging together. Conor quickly assisted me to move to a different room…on a different floor! Seem to still be working out some of the security features. Supposed to use key to operate elevators above first floor. When Conor moved me to a different floor, he waited for me too use my key card and I told him I had not had to use it in the elevator the entire time. Daughter’s key card only worked some of the time. In all I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in similar situations, and after I left , my daughter stayed there until her husband was able to leave the hospital for home.

I’ve had a honors rewards since 2005 as well as one for Marriott. In the past few years, I’ve had to travel to numerous states for family emergencies and I can tell you that you simply can’t beat Hilton. I now only use Hilton exclusively. After having to leave very last minute and drive all night several times and getting to a city I only had been to once previously years ago, I booked online with Hilton and I arrived with my mom and a small baby. I went to the desk because we got into town at 06:30-07:00 am after driving all night long as just told them that I had been up all night and was in town for a family emergency and they didn’t even hesitate going ahead and allowing us into our rooms. It just so happened to be I picked the one room that was already cleaned and they gave us my key and told us to help our self to breakfast. There have been a few times I needed to check in early for certain reasons and they have always went above and beyond for us. I can honestly say I’ve never once had a bad experience with any Hilton I’ve stayed in. So I high recommend using Hilton as they make their guest a priority every single time.

I love that I can use the Hilton app to book, unlock my room, and check out, all without having to stop at the front desk. While some properties (especially certain center locations) may still require front desk interaction, most of the time I can handle everything from my phone. It’s efficient, easy, and makes my hotel stay feel that much smoother. The digital key feature is a game changer!

Lately at some hotels when I check in, the current stay actually disappears entirely from the app, it has happened to me several times now. This did not used to occur. The digital key will remain but I can no longer see the details of my reservation, message the hotel, or otherwise use anything but the digital key. In my current stay, this got much worse, as not only did it disappear, but the hotel then somehow could not see my reservation or that I had checked in at all resulting in multiple calls to the room demanding to know who we were and in someone speaking unpleasantly to my wife and telling her with a tone that we were not supposed to be there (keeping in mind we had checked in with digital key, my card had been charged, etc.), and this morning somehow in a new reservation being created and being charged again and at a rate nearly double the rate on my reservation, which I then had to go correct. (And I now have two new stays with nonsensical data for the hotel showing up, perhaps created by the hotel or perhaps whatever phantoms are causing this.) Will I get proper credit for the stay? Color me doubtful. Will I be double charged? Seems not unlikely. I don’t know what’s going on with Hilton’s systems but it has now reached a point where the app and/or back end losing your reservations is pretty seriously adversely affecting the stay experience. — Diamond guy who is becoming afraid to use the app at all We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are working through the challenges with Digital Key to make sure it works every time. Please email your Hilton Honors ID, issue, and iPhone model to [email protected], and we will be happy to look into it.

Had severe issues several years ago (2022) but now in 2025 digital keys seem to be working much more reliably (Pixel 9 Pro XL). App occasionally stalls out loading my stay and requires me to force close it. Also, today I got a notification letting me know I can check out from the app.... over an hour after I had already checked out. Last week the system let me book a room type that there was no availability for at that hotel. Otherwise it seems to be working reasonably well now.

Overall very good. Could be better with allowing you to book a room after midnight for what we all consider still that same evening! Sometimes the app is slow and can be painful trying to book a room but mostly is very good. Would be nice if it was easier to edit criteria when booking. Love the room controls and digital key! love how easy it is to book with points. I won't stay at any other hotel if there's a Hilton close enough!

For now this version of the app has a bug. Trying to book a room using the app turns up an error to enter 'Region' which does not seem to exist anywhere on the app. Have highlighted to customer service phone line and also hotel front desk and (this is my 3rd booking in the past month) the error remains unaddressed.... so much so that I need to call reservation or use the website instead of the app.

Android version isn't as good as ios in my opinion. I liked on the iPhone you could explore more pictures of the hotel and you can see pictures of the rooms in the room details. maybe I'm missing something but I haven't been able to do that on android. However that is my only complaint everything else works great.

I love the ability to skip the line at the front desk and not having to worry about turning room keys back in. I tend to get into my hotels pretty late, so just being able to head to my room is amazing! Over all it's very easy to navigate, but I sometimes have issues with the digital keys. It would also be nice if there were an option to see what a room will cost with taxes and fees included. Hilton frequently loses my business to Marriott because their app has that feature.

I have been staying at Homewood Suites in College Station, TX for 6 weeks, as I am working in Bryan during the week. I have stayed in at least 3 different rooms, staying in 120 for the last 3 weeks. I enjoy staying at this hotel because it has the kitchenette and it is very close to my office. The only complaint I have is that the hotel has not been maintained very well. There are small things that need to be done, such as the shower curtains need to be replaced, (every room I’ve stayed in so far has needed a new shower curtain. They are barely hanging on the rods in some rooms). The carpets need to be cleaned and in room 120 the carpet needs to be stretched. Two of the rooms I’ve stayed in have needed the sliding doors to closet put back on their track. The stoves need new bowls under the burners. Also I reported that in room 120 the connect for the small burner was loose on 1/29. On 2/1 when I returned to room 120, it appeared that there had been an attempt to fix the connection, but it was still loose. I would think this could be a fire hazard if not corrected. Again, these are small issues but at the same time correcting them would go a long to making the rooms look better and show that management really cares about keeping the hotel up. I really like staying at the college station hotel and plan to continue to stay there. I also realize it is an older hotel but housekeeping really needs to be reporting repairs that are needed as they find them.

We usually always stay in Hilton Properties when we travel for business and we travel enough to be Diamond customers. The Mobility Accessibility is nearly always perfect. My problem is that we cannot afford ourselves of the early check-in, because when I do, your app puts us in a standard room, which is totally incorrect. I had a circumstance when I did early check in and when we arrived, all of the handicapped rooms were taken! But, that was not the case when I made the reservation. The other problem is that rooms are not always identified appropriately in the system. If I book a room called hearing/mobility accessibility I would expect it to be both hearing AND mobility accessible. However, that is not always the case. Sometimes this is only a hearing accessible room. Your rooms need to be clearly identified and your hotel systems and the staff need to be able to easily understand the difference. As long as I am reviewing, I also want to mention, and to me probably the most important, Hilton and really all hotels, need to consider designing new hotels with all mobility accessible rooms on the ground floor. Being close to an elevator is absolutely no help in a fire. Having to wait for help could be the difference between life and death for someone unable to walk down stairs. While not expecting this request to be something retrofitted, it should be a consideration in future design. Thank you!

Recently have not been able to check in using the app, 3 out of last 5 hotel stays, receiving an error that I need to check in at front desk. Very frustrating as then I can't choose my room or check in the day prior. Now having trouble with the chat feature as well. I can do everything else with the app and have used it for years as a frequent traveler. Not sure if this is a bug or a conflict with Android?

Nice when it works. Annoying when it fails cuz alerts keep coming to act on something that is broken. I've used the check-in option from the app once, & it was very convenient. The added info about the hotel is helpful. My most recent booking, however, triggered a series of alerts to check in despite the option not working, stating to see the front desk on arrival. Not the worst - is a new function I haven't yet come to expect. But then it kept notifying me to check in. Became irritating! 😡

The app does not allow you to cancel the reservation that was booked using the mobile app itself. For reservation that is still within the cancellation window, all it suggests is to call the hotel, use the Help Center or cancel the reservation online. When clicking on the link to manage reservation online, there are two options and at least one of them does not work either (by conf#, last name, arrival date). That's a waste of time.

It's good when it works, but recently I haven't been able to log in, getting the much dreaded "Oops!" message. Resetting password, clearing cache, deleting files, re-install - it all doesn't help. This same issue exists across several of my Android devices. Tech support hasn't been able to help me, their best suggestion? "Call the hotel to check-in by phone" -- that doesn't even need further commenting does it... 🙄

Had to physically check in for the system to recognize that our room was ready, which defeated the whole point of getting a digital key through the app's check-in. Also, the key deactivated at 12:01 am on our checkout day and had we not had a physical key, we would have been locked out of our room because we were still out by that time.

I've never had a problem with this app until my experience in Ireland. The app would not allow me to check in despite having all my information correct and trying several times. When we arrived I discovered there was nothing wrong with any of the information on the app, including my payment method. As a result, I feel that we received the very last of the rooms available on a lower floor than preferred. Pretty dissapointing for an anniversary trip. I'll never trust this app again.

The app is absolutely of no use. You are asked to utilize mobile check-in and use digital key, but when you try to get a digital key, you get a message to stop at the front desk to check-in. Mobile check-out is also encouraged, and of course, that doesn't work either. You also cannot access your bill during your stay at all to see what your current charges are until check out. Of course, there were discrepancies that resulted in a refund to be issued.

Recent update: days of not bwing able to login. "Oops, sonething went wrong." I can log in using same credentials on the site. Good app, almost never have issues. Occasionally will have trouble with digital key but I suspect this is a hotel not app issue. Easy to find hotels and book. Only wish would be to search from map screen instead of having to always type in a city.

I do not understand why booking a room is so difficult. I travel a lot, and try to be loyal to a brand, but every time I try to book I get someone in a foreign call center that can't even UNDERSTAND the question I'm asking, let alone get it correct. A dozen stays over the last year and literally every..single..one screwed up by someone for whom English is a third or fourth language. For a program that is supposed to reward you for loyalty, I can't even get the basics!

Terrible! For some reason, the app forgot all my login info and now I get the error "oops, something went wrong on our end." I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and nothing works. I can log on to the web just fine, so I tried troubleshooting with an agent. That was a huge waste of time, especially when they say to clear the cache after I told them I'd already reinstalled the app completely. Ultimately, after 30 minutes online, it still doesn't work! Fix it!

App has not worked at all for me this past trip. Keeps telling me there is an issue on the Hilton side. When chatting with technical support their resolution was to reset my password every time I get this error? When I called tech support their resolution was to wait a day and see if it got fixed. Just an overall frustrating experience. The one time I was able to log in the digital key didnt even work. Disappointing.

Easy to book and get details on the hotel, as well as use points. UPDATE: Dropped rating. The app only allowed me to add one person as a guest when I booked for my daughter and her friend. I added my daughter, who was 19. The hotel, when they got there, told them they couldn't stay because they made an arbitrary rule about having to be 21 to check-in. Her friend was over 21, but they wouldn't let me add her. I spent an hour fixing this. Fix the app to add multiple people!

App is frequently not working and will not allow for digital checkin or digital key. It also gives a confirmation number which is not always honored at all Hilton hotels. I booked at the Hilton in Washington DC and when I arrived they did not have a room even though I had a reservation and confirmation number through the hotel app. I walked to the Marriott instead. I will not stay at Hilton after this experience unless it is for a corporate event. Marriott or Hyatt chains are my new go to.

This is the most unreliable app on my phone. I travel a lot and Hilton is my go-to hotel. However in the last year this app has let me down many times. It randomly logs you out and then when you try to log back in it gives you oops it's us not you problem. Overtime I see that it takes about 24 hours of not trying to log in before you can actually log back in. I tried everything that I can find to resolve this issue and even emailing the support, but they just ignored my email.
