I love this app! It was once a function on the regular GOOGLE maps app. I was mad and disappointed one day when I picked up my phone and found that the function was gone. I found it here. My city has more one-way streets than most and this app helps me to recognize my desired location several buildings before my arrival. It has saved me lots of trips around the block after missing driveways. It's a little tricky to learn, but it's well worth it.

This app is beyond exceptional, it’s really great and i think more people should use it. i know i kind of sound like a robot writing a good review so that more people download the app but i’m not. this app is really helpful and really informative. one time i was using it and i was looking for a friends house; using this app i found a ton of fun stuff to do around her house and we actually weren’t bored that day but, anyway back to the point, this app is really good and if you are reading this review before you get the app, i highly suggest that you do because, it’s helpful in so many ways and i think it will make your life easier when trying to see what a neighborhood is like or, to see what’s around a house that you are interested in. overall i honestly, truly think that you should get this app.

Having great fun. GSV is a great tool for everyone to use. When I upload a bunch of photos at one time, I sometimes get the error No Wifi when I am in my office and have great Wifi. So I am not sure what to say about that. However, having these photos now connect i.e. Camera spot 1 to 2 to 3 and so on and editing the direction that is shown as the thumbnail prior to uploading so you are giving the best view / direction of the 360 is fantastic. Then taking it a step further and editing the listing to match you GPS pin point location in Google Map and adding the parking location. Now this bring the service to the public to a whole new level. The new roll out of GSV and Google Maps is truly exciting. Data Fuels the Cannon, Technology Ignites It.

If you take a 360 photo on your phone or camera and move it to this app. You can change the location (not the address, the actual exact place the pic was taken.). But when editing the photo and putting it in the correct place. You have to be able to see the pic at the bottom of the screen where you can edit the view or map... You can do that. Until you publish it. You can press select and try to change the place but at the bottom, the pic is just white so you can’t see the pic. This is a lot and I’m guessing nobody understood this. But google, please take this into consideration to fix.

The only thing I use this for is to take 360 photos, as Samsung removed all other ways to do this off their phone series. This app works well-enough for that, though it does leave black boxes in the images at times. Other than that, it's really good. Also, please reconsider geo-tagging sensitive locations and places that probably do not need to be overrun by people.

I use this mainly to take and upload 360 pictures to google street view. It’s nice because I can always go back and see the pictures I’ve uploaded to remember where I’ve been and to share places that google has not been able to image. The app is quite unstable, even on a iPhone 12pro max. It often crashes when swiping between 360 images. Setting locations doesn’t always seem to change to the place you pick. Other times it will change to some similarly named place that wasn’t shown in the location picker. Some photos will be rejected by google but you can’t easily see what they are or why they were rejected. You just need to go through the low view counts and check each one although the app does tell you how many were approved. The 360 photos are pretty good, but sometimes there is some tearing. Maybe the image acquisition could ask for a few more photos to help with the stitching? Lastly, I’ve been using this app since around the time it first came out. My 360 photos have always saved to my camera roll. Now, I’ve noticed they’re not and there doesn’t seem to be any way to get them back even though google appears to have a copy.

Difficult to use. I tend to use this to find businesses I can't remember the name of. The controls are difficult and there doesn't appear to be anything to indicate which direction you're currently pointing. When moving down a road, sometimes the camera randomly changes, so you have to really pay attention. Surprisingly poor quality for an app by Google.

This app needs a lot of work. I use it for submitting and editing photospheres and I discover a new bug almost every time I open it. Changes will fall to be saved (the save button won't even show up sometimes). Location markers will fail to load on the map. There is apparently a limit on selecting 25 photos at a time, but it will continue to say all photos are selected. You can't select a subset to edit, so you get a random group. I have to force kill and delete cache nearly every time. Etc.

the biggest problem of this app is that maps are not in position correctly. All the positions shown on the map are more northwest than they actually are. So every time I upload photos I have to manually change the location. It's difficult to operate and inaccurate. But everything is correct when I open Google Maps app, so the problem obviously occurred in this app only.

Immediately after I reported that searching by address doesn’t work, there was an update that fixed that. I had just acquired this app, so I don’t know whether it caused the following problems, or if they were already present. I tried to trace a route from my house to a point a couple of miles away, using the street-level view. Every few blocks the blue line would disappear and further progress would be stopped. The only way to proceed is to switch to the map view and advance the little man, whereupon he skips over the segment of road that can’t be covered at street-level. Upon returning to street-level, you may find yourself facing down the street in the wrong direction. Further confusing the matter is that in the map view the line is continuous, not broken, giving one no warning of what to expect. If the reason for the breaks is that people have requested to not have their houses in the street-level view, then a database for taking that into account in the map view exists. Another annoyance is intersections. Most, though, oddly, not all of them, have the lines crossing not at right angles, but in this weird zigzag that is treacherous to attempt to navigate. Occasionally, one can sometimes hop over it, but other times you wind up on the cross street or several blocks behind where you were. One time the app shut down.
