Just started using a few days ago and I'm having weird experiences. For instance, when logging in I would enter my email and then tap the box for the password and it would immediately delete my email and say user not found. It also appears as though you can only enter in One credit card for payment. I would like to be able to save One credit card for business reservations and another credit card for personal reservations.
App won't save your login credentials and log you in automatically. For the longest time, I would have to reset my password in order to log in. They finally fixed that. Now, if they could fix the other irritating quirk, when entering a location, the app seems to pick the location furthest from your current location. The app has my location, why can't it order the list by closest town first instead of picking a town 5 states away.
This app has gone from very useful to an absolute waste of space on my phone. Now, if I try to open any kind of search on it, it circles and circles, then tells me that my connection may be too slow. It never was in the past, it never is for anything else, but all of a sudden it is too slow for the Best Western app?? Will probably just delete it and rely on the website for information from now on.
I got the app to add a reservation. After logging into the app, I searched for hotel. It was asking me to provide an email to get best pricing. I added it. Why didn't the app already have my email from my login? I continued with reservation and it wanted me to sign-up or login to book. It would seem to me that the app just uses a browser displaying different pages. It does not keep you logged in. A better experience is just using their website to maintain login from page to page.
I used to love this app for booking my hotel reservations but it has literally become impossible to do anything in it now. :( . I am so disappointed, having easy ways to book reservations contributes to my likelihood of using certain brands of hotels. If it's hard to find their hotels, rooms, rates etc. or to books rooms, I would rather go somewhere it isn't.
While this app does show reservations and rewards, it shows minimal information about the reservation. It only shows the location of the hotel, cost, and dates of stay. I would have liked to see see information like type of room, amenities included in the room, and amenities offered at the hotel itself. Enough so I am confident the reservation is going to be right. So it seems to work well enough but could be much better.
Cant pull hotel bills for any of my stays. The Eden, a Best Western Premier property, very rarely emails me my bill after check out. Hilton and Marriott do it 100% of the time. BW is 25% tops. Since I can't view the bills on the app, I need to call, or email them to get my bill sent. It's really annoying. I wish the app would get fixed so I can pull the bills. It just freezes the app each time I click on the stay.
Several problems with BW mobile app. It frequently logs me out and sometimes locks me out. Then I have to call Cust Serv to get back in. I only find this out when I'm in a time crunch making a reservation and it's very annoying. Can ruin the timing of travel. The Settings menu is not functional at all. The Touch ID is not functional at all. Customer service was contacted and was very nice but admitted to being unable to assist. I WAS able to make a reservation and also to cancel one so it's not completely useless but it set my trip back by an hour sitting along the road to work it out.
Why can't I look up a reservation? I can with all my other hotel apps. All I need is a confirmation number, first, and last name. Then, I am able to add a reservation. I don't always book my own travels but provided with a confirmation number for my trip. I literally have to wait til check in. My points in the app haven't been updated, but if I go on the website, all my points are there. This app needs a serious update.
Very inconsistent user experience. There appears to be a fingerprint login option, but it doesn't work. I have no problem with other apps. While I'm using the app it will tell me I haven't used it in a while and asks me to log in. When I clear that screen sometimes it logs in automatically and sometimes not. For each search it throws a pink banner up at the top asking for my email address to get the best rate. It's now asking me to complete a puzzle for each action. Getting worse!
It may be better to not have an app at all then to inflict this on customers. Search is slow, but don't worry, the app is there to blame your connection speed. It will not stop perpetual search so you will have to close it manually. When you restart it will ask you to log in. This is the most amateur attempt at an an app I have ever seen. I actually feel bad for the company.
I've got 35k in more rewards points than that shows. The hub doesn't open at all, I click on check reward points and nothing happens. It's been broken for a few months . I've cleared the cash, cleared the data, deleted the program, rebooted the phone, reinstalled the program from new, and as soon as I open it it's already picked right back up where it left off at without me having to log in at all
Love the hotel. Hate this app. It doesn't work, can never log in, and is constantly crashing. I know my log in info is correct but the app tells me it is incorrect. Even called customer service for my rewards or account number, that was considered incorrect log in info also. Only worked three times before logging itself out. It's easier to just use the website. I will delete this app to stop giving myself 0 hope it actually works.
Useless! Can't ever log in! I keep getting a timeout notice and when I log in, if it even takes me to the log in screen, just tells me my password is wrong. My points and rewards never show up. and the weird thing is that I can book rooms with the app, apparently not logged in, all day long. So I can spend my money but get no "rewards". This is a terrible, useless, app!
Love the hotel, hate the app! The app never saves my login information, even though I have "stay logged in" selected. I have to re-login every time I use the app, which is constantly because I travel for work. I also have to hop over to my password manager every. single. time I login to the app. So if you get past all that aggravation and try to use the app, it's glitchy AF. From constantly crashing, to often booking different dates than I entered. Just use the website, save yourself.
I am a Diamond Select rewards member. I've had the Best Western app for many years. It used to be so easy and fast. They "fixed" it, now it freezes and logs me out and then freezes again. Uninstall, restart phone, reinstall, log in. Same thing. For a huge chain, with nice properties around the world, you'd think they'd have the desire to fix this app. But no. I am SO disappointed. I use BW literally around the world, my life would be complete if the app worked more than twice in a row.
Diamond Member here, unfortunately the app needs a lot of work. It crashes a lot, the distances between cities are incorrect, and whenever I try to search for a room somewhere more often than not I get this ridiculous session timeout message and I have to start the search process all over again. It is very inconvenient. BW is a great hotel chain. I wish that there were more properties out there, but man this app is the pits. Probably the worst hotel app out there. I hope they can upgrade it.
App updated on 7/17/20: crashes every time I try to access rewards dashboard; there is no software testing done before a release it seems. Rev from 2018: Latest update is major fail. Keeps logging me out. This morning, can't log in at all. Just hangs. Have used the app for 2 years and only about half the time does it work well. When it does, it's great and convenient. When it doesn't work well, it's a PITA.
