My favorite wind / sailing / ocean app. Works well, quickly and no crappy ads or interrupting pop ups. I keep the free version, my husband has the paid version to download weather when we are under sail. I check it every morning and I like the mixed model it seems to be fairly accurate. I really like being able to see a large radar area to see where the weather is originating from. I Would recommend for anyone doing any kind of ocean sports or activities or just interested in the ocean.
Detailed forecasts for many weather variables. Also clear and easy to use and understand.
I was aware of this product but unaware of the pricing. I'm completely impressed with the features available in the free version. I've seen the features that YouTube sailors use. Although I don't have the need for those features at this time, they do seem to sell justify the cost. Excellent free product and even better paid product.
great app. still some improvements to go, for example rained to read charts would be great. but overall use it to cross 3000nm
I use it with the data hub. Perfect system. It's not always dead spot on, but it keeps me out of the nastyness.
great app, could do a bit more with ui but very functional. considering buying it even tho i have all I need for free
Excellent comparative forecasts from different data sets and models applied to them and presented in map and table formats easy also to explore all the other possibilities offered.
Best wind map out there. Quick, accurate and easy to use. Color code makes it quick and visual at a glance to see hour by hour wind conditions on the water!
***** Outstanding app***** There is just so much detail even in the "Basic" tier. I don't have a boat - I was just looking for something to use on a cruise ship. However, I had a free week using the "Professional" tier and was amazed at how much information was available. I should think it would be invaluable to boat owners. Support is very quick and very helpful, too. (I was looking for a replacement for Accuweather. instead of putting the price up, frigged the app to force an upgrade!)
One of the most accurate forecasts I've used. From Cabo to San Francisco's bay, their models have been the best. The advanced features are really great, but too expensive for my blood. Also the phone app is clumsy to navigate especially when changing between wind, waves gusts, etc. Its also pretty slow, even with decent internet.
The application works great. The prediction models are hit and miss on accuracy, but thats not a functional error of the software. I just wish there was a way to overlay multiple prediction models as a default setting. There's too much time wasted flipping back and forth to compare possibilities. But it is still a good app, so I rounded up.
Great app... But... A few anointing things... 1- the arrows to view the times on the map are too small and it's easy too click elsewhere or move to the end or lose the info pop-up. Make them buttons better... Whoever made this app surely never sailed in rough seas. 2- make the app remember the last update for offline use... While sailing costal or offshore we lose internet often for hours at the time and can't review the last forcast. This also would save data and load on your server...
Very good forecast for wind and waves at my location but the tide time is way off it's 4 hours earlier than the real tide situation.
even the free edition has access to powerful prediction models; helpful in tracking passing storm systems... mostly intuitive in use...
Useful service for sailing with good data and maps. However data should be cached for offline/low bandwidth usage, between updates of models. Spending too much looking at the download animation between different pages.
UPDATE 2: the slow performance with pinch to zoom is happening again. Who do I need to contact to help debug further?
Has been reasonably accurate, but recently wont let me login, not recognising my password. even tried forgot password but no emails appear in my inbox, junk or spam. im off to google a better app. see ya.
it's a good wind app, but it's a time waster if you regularly move. You have to find, type in a name and save your location every time you move. if you have too many already, you must first delete a previous location to make space. We travel 4 days a week on the great loop, and this wastes a few minutes every time I want to check the wind. So now, I open Wi**y which just shows conditions at my current location.
Terrible app as very user-unfriendly and cannot talk to customer service or any person.
was working well all day but now I can't access it. I un installed it to reboot it and now it won't sign in or load, won't load on my other device either.
