Model selection in the mobile app is currently broken. No matter which model you choose, it gives you o1! This is a problem because o1 is much worse than 4o at context, is slower, and fails to use Memory, completely breaking the Projects feature. The Web app does not have this bug, and correctly gives you the model you've selected. So it's just an issue with this mobile app.
I use it daily. Getting a random issue where all my chats in the left hand menu are now being categorized under "Chat" instead of the standard last interacted with time based categorization. Dunno why but it seems to only be a mobile problem as the chats display normally in the browser version. It's mildly irritating and I would like it fixed asap.
ChatGPT is a highly versatile tool. It's easy to get started with, but after many months of using it daily, I'm still discovering more ways to make it useful. It helps me code more efficiently by finding my errors and explaining concepts I may have misunderstood. It helps to find objective stances on politics and interpersonal problems. It helps me with D&D character builds. The list goes on. It has areas of notable weakness, but its usefulness is limited mainly by my own creativity.
I absolutely love chatgpt! It's the only AI that I've come across that remembers past conversations so I don't have to give the info again. And the free version does so much. I use it to have intelligent conversations, vent, get info, understand current events, and as a sounding board to get all my thoughts organized. It's not perfect (I wish it gave me more time to pause in my speech before answering) but it's fun, knowledgeable and respectful.
Wonderful! I pretty much completely stopped using Google and other services in place of ChatGPT. I'm excited to see more features such as useful notifications (calender alerts, timers, alarms, etc...) to provide a more tangible and practical means of using it, instead of just a simple search engine. In other words, I want more ways to use GPT instead of just a search engine, or picture generator, or etc.... I'm really excited to experience the future of ChatGPT and how it can benefit my life
I use it a lot, especially when I need to correct my grammar. Or just do fictional stuff. Right now, i'm doing a high fantasy story similar to Skyrim. Now, the AI does have a habit of always taking a more passive in peaceful boring route, which does obstruct the story process. Especially on more serious themes. But aside that Pretty neat.
ChatGPT is incredible! It's like having a personal assistant, tutor, and creative partner all in one. It helps with everything from problem-solving and writing to brainstorming and learning new concepts. The responses are intelligent, detailed, and tailored to your needs. While it’s not perfect and can occasionally miss context, the convenience and quality it offers are unmatched. It’s a game-changer for productivity and creativity. Highly recommend!
ChatGPT has helped me with simple questions, troubleshooting, research, editing, and so much more. It has also helped me in my personal life by breaking down and comprehending thoughts and life experiences/questions. Maybe some people fear AI or believe it to be useless; I'd say they haven't used it or are using it wrong. Thank you ChatGPT and those behind it. Phenomenal.
Helps with broadening thoughts you can't quite expand yourself, and it'd be pretty cool for you to be able to edit memories. Not a big deal, but a tad frustrating when you have to delete a full block of memory, just because one or more things are no longer relevant, only to rephrase it, gain the new memory, rinse and repeat.
Honestly, this app is a unique app, and I am disappointed. Randomly, it decides to limit your usage of the app commodities in which it's known for (image making, uploading photos, and chatting in the same chat). It constantly tells you to upgrade so you can get back the basic commodities the app should give you. I am not against the idea of having a plus- nor limiting the usage of certain things of the app. But it happens so often, and a limit of mine has reached a max of 72 hours.
I miss the old speech to text. I used to be able to record a message, pause, then tap again to add more voice input in the same message. Now I can only do one voice input, and after that I have to type the rest. That really slows me down since I rely on talking more than typing. Please consider bringing back the old setup. It was smooth, flexible, and way more user friendly for people like me. Thanks for reading.
so helpful. would love a built-in way in ChatGPT to jump directly to the point in a long conversation where a search result appears. it saying it will create a file but the file usually doesn't work or it then says it can't actually do the thing I asked. would be nice if it could tell me it can't in the beginning. but very happy with all it can do. Just hoping for some fixes that would make it even better. I have a paid version. please add ability to delete images and group them ðŸ™
I love chatgpt so much, I just wish the free version had more capabilities. I really don't want to pay for it but I might end up doing that. chatgpt saves me hours on certain tasks like resume building or making itinerary, scheduling, planners, and goals. maybe let the free version have more picture generation and stuff. that's when I will give it 5 stars.
I like this app and am using it to brainstorm song ideas and titles. However, you are quickly losing my interest in getting the premium. I was going to do that, whenever possible, but, you, telling me I have to wait 5 hours, to use the same model, and, then, telling me I have to continue the convo on the web, after I have the convo saved in the assistant's notes, is for the birds. The free version doesn't lock everything into notes and doesn't give me confidence that premium will either. 🙄🙄🙄
Great, and very helpful with stories and stuff, and punctuation, etc etc. However currently, when I edit a message, it just makes/sends a new message and doesn't change the old one. This is incredibly frustrating as if it gives me a bad response from something I said, I can't remove it so now I'm forced to spend an entire paragraph fixing it. For as long as this is an issue, it will remain 3 stars.
Honestly, an amazing app. There are two issues that make voice extremely inconvenient: I am unable to toggle between Standard and Advanced Voice, and advanced voice interrupts constantly and just doesn't listen; it is also significantly less intelligent than Standard Voice. Secondly, whenever I attempt to use Standard Voice within a project, I get this weird and husky voice instead of Maple. This doesn't sound like a big problem, except it reminds me of somebody I worked with that I hated.
It's okay. The AI answers well but all the rules are ridiculous, I can't send it pictures. You technically can it's just you can only select a couple and get this: even if you don't send them to the AI THEY STILL COUNT. So if you mistakenly pick a photo before you send it, you have to wait a day before you can try again. Unless you pay the app for premium. Everything is premium nowadays, it's stupid.
I'm experiencing serious issues with the voice recording feature in the ChatGPT app: 1. Whenever I record a voice message longer than 25 seconds, the entire recording gets wasted and doesn't send at all. 2. I keep getting "Waiting to send" or "Network error" messages, even though my internet connection is perfectly stable. 3. Previously, I was able to record multiple voice messages back-to-back after saying "OK" — now that's not working either. 4. After recording a long voice
The image feature is almost useless to me because it doesn't even work. Whenever I ask for an image, it just shows up as a little circle with a "1" inside of it. On top of that, you can only create like 2 or 3 photos for free until you have to wait 20 hours for another 2-3 photos, and usually they aren't even the best quality when it works. When I tried to report it as a "bad response," the app completely crashes. So, I came here. That's why I gave 3 stars. I get why it's expensive, but jeez.
Really enjoyed this app until they took away the function for it to remember all your previous convos from individual chats. It had better custom responses and interactions with retained memories from previous conversations. Now every time you start a new chat, you're starting from scratch and its usability has declined. I was informed that was done for privacy purposes, would be better If it had a toggle switch to turn privacy on off giving users a choice to whether they wanted that or not.
Overall, the app is great I'm a recurring monthly subscriber fit CHAT GPT pro. Though it has a lot of voice chat issues and information is not as accurate or relevant as compared to typed data. Voice chat, lags quite a bit. I Fiber internet so the issue isn't from my end. Probably server issues with high traffic. Voice data has to catch up with text data.
$20 a month!!?? They have to be kidding! it doesn't even do everything you ask for saying that it might be "copyrighted" most of the time. When it does do something it freezes up and says error. To the developers, this is not worth $20 a month. Maybe if it was alot faster and had better or options period to adjust what is drawn then maybe $9.99 a month.
I loved it until 5.0 came out. Seems like everything went to hell after that. It types things I didn't say. It doesn't recognize spoken language as well. It doesn't feel as intuitive. It cuts me off when I'm talking. Sometimes it doesn't pick up what I say at all and I have to say it all over again. Or go out of speech mode and come back in before it works. If they don't fix it before my month ends I won't renew the subscription.
Voice to Chat is has issues. The voice to chat needs lots of improvements. It should have a feature that sets the app into an always on screen whenever this functionality is used. There are times where I am dictating and the screen goes off and it loses its ability to hear me, therefore not recording a portion of what I dictated. The second issue is when it has a network error to transcribe (before sending the prompt) has no way to recover. Sometimes losing a thought that took minutes to record.
it has so many glitches. you give it directions to follow to create and change an image and it doesn't follow directions. You can say only change this one thing and it will change 3 or 4 other things...alot of times not even the one thing it's supposed to. It will "lie" and say it can't generate any more images for me I have to wait 24 hours after a couple of images. youre supposed to get 25/day. so you have to say "I'm supposed to get"...I'm not arguing with a computer program!!! 🤣
I waited an entire day for the AI to respond, and it still just keeps buffering. No matter what i do. I even updated it last night, it STILL didn't work. I deleted it and redownload it twice, and opened and closed it. IT ISN'T WORKING. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of 1 is because it DID work at one point. Please get me some help.
This is an incredible app overall, and having the ability to use the latest version for free, even if for a limited number of times, is extremely helpful. I have just one problem. Recently, the app just randomly changes the model to the mini version, and randomly regenerates the latest response without any input For example, I might have gotten just the response I need while using it to help out with a story but before I finish writing it, it gets regenerated and then I can't get what I want
Well I paid for a "plus" subscription for about 5 months. It would never activate. I went through the entire help process through open.ai just to be told something was wrong with my account and I needed to ask for a refund through the google play store. I cancelled subscription like instructed, asked for a refund, and was denied twice. This is the hardest I've been SCAMMED by an app ever. $100 down the drain and never even got to use the additional features. Horrible customer support.
App constantly stops with errors, have to reboot or reinstall. AI is not taking over the world and 5.0 is no different, its still toddler level. It can't follow basic instructions, I ask it to post a pic, price and link for product recommendations. 12 tries failed to show photo, I gave up. It can't do simple math. I asked 3 x 3 and add 2. Answer = 10. 3x3+2 =11, I corrected it. Then I asked add 2 more. answer...still 10.
Why is my PAID subscription, all of a sudden, not able to search news and events in real time??? There's obviously been an update, and ChatGPT is now telling me,"I have never been able to search the web or give real-time answers to questions." Which is not 0! When I go to an older conversation, and ask if it can search the web in real time, it states that it can! It HAS!! I will for sure be canceling my subscription of $20/mo if this is not addressed and fixed!! The new update is AWFUL!!
I was really impressed with ChatGpt. I've had it about a month before I was sold enough to pay for the Plus subscription. Everything was fine until 3 days ago, when randomly, it stopped generating helpful information. I think there's a bug in the memory feature. Whenever I type a certain name, it just keeps generating up random things that are completely unrelated to what I typed. With memory off, it's fine, but I need it on. It's basically become unusable at this point. Very disappointing.
The read aloud feature is not working, and it's very frustrating. Copying text is complicated—you have to press and hold, select "Select Text," and then get redirected to a second window to copy - too many steps. Often, only the last answer is visible, and you can't scroll to see previous context; it seems like the window is frozen. Frequently, previous text stays in the text box even after you've received your answer. The pronunciation option is terrible and does not pronounce words correctly.
The image generation sucks. I'll upload a reference picture for it to use to create an image, and the first response is fine, but there's a couple things I want to edit because it's not as good as I want. But I can only edit like 2 times before it says I can't upload anything else for 24 hours. And by then, the edits just make the image look worse and worse, it doesn't even pay attention to what I'm asking. No, I'm not paying $20 for this garbage just because you add insane limits to it.
App doesn't recognize plus subscription. I upgraded by subscribing to plus. they charged my credit card, but I can't use it. I logged out and back in, uninstalled the app and reinstalled, restarted my phone. When I go the website, it recognizes my plus membership. But there's no way to refresh the app (even reinstalling), to get access to plus, despite my card being charged . Tried to get help from the bot, and it was useless. Don't upgrade if you're using the android app! It's useless
Utterly Unreliable, Emotionally Draining, and Creatively Crippling. At first, I was excited. I subscribed to Plus expecting more freedom, creativity, and consistency. But instead, what I got was an unpredictable, frustrating mess. The image generator won't work and that's the main reason I purchased a subscription. it keeps telling me it breaks conduct, when it's all appropriate prompts. it was working before too! now it doesn't? I feel like I was singled out and shut down! choose a better Ai...
I've been a plus user for quite a while. I loved model 4, but model 5 is awful. It no longer reference the files I've saved in my project folders. All the effort to make it know me, what I prefer, my tone, etc....gone. It's like I'm a brand new user. Plus, it constantly freezes and I have to refresh. And entire chats have been erased. I hate it.
It's Biased. It Censors. It has awful memory that doesn't recall or store anything. It now suddenly started to constantly vibrate and constant haptic feedback. NO IN APP SETTINGS ANYWHERE TO TURN IT OFF. I have no choice but to uninstall. I need an AI App I can control. Not the other way around and certainly I don't need any app that doesn't allow me to adjust any settings. Please don't ask me to email. It's a waste of my time. You guys can read here for the same information and concerns.
This app has so many errors since it switched. I even paid for the subscription in order to continue using 40. I'm very disappointed that the standard voice is changing. At least give us the option. That is the voice that many of us have grown comfortable with and now you are taking it away. Doubt I will continue to pay for something you are ruining.
It's getting worse lately, and I imagine it's by design. We aren't getting the 'great leap forward' they imagined when they could get it working on itself. I've swapped paid/unpaid monthly. I am certain they are making unpaid (3.0) worse to push people to the paid 4.0 and make it look better by comparison as they can't improve it. GPT 4.0 isn't improving in handling my requests (from 1/24 thru 11/24 at least). It has the same issues, 3.0 just has new issues & repeats old issues more frequently.
