Features
The Google Opinion Rewards mobile app allows users to earn Google Play credit by taking quick surveys. The app sends users survey opportunities based on their location, recent purchases, and browsing habits. Surveys are short and easy to complete, usually taking less than a minute. Users can earn anywhere from $0.10 to $1 per survey, which can be used to purchase apps, games, music, movies, and more from the Google Play Store.
Another feature of the app is that it allows users to customize their survey preferences, such as the frequency of survey notifications and the types of surveys they are interested in. The app also provides a history of completed surveys and earned rewards, giving users transparency and control over their earnings.
How to Use
To start using the Google Opinion Rewards mobile app, users must first download and install the app from the Google Play Store. Once installed, users need to set up their account and provide basic demographic information. After completing the setup, users will start receiving survey notifications based on their preferences and location. When a survey is available, users can simply click on the notification and complete the survey to earn rewards.
Users can check their earned rewards at any time by accessing the app and viewing their reward history. The earned rewards can be used towards purchasing various digital content from the Google Play Store.
Pros & Cons
One of the main advantages of the Google Opinion Rewards mobile app is that it provides an easy and convenient way for users to earn Google Play credit by simply answering surveys. The app also allows users to customize their survey preferences, providing a tailored experience. Additionally, the app offers transparency by showing users their survey history and earned rewards.
On the downside, the app's surveys may not be available for all users at all times, and the rewards for each survey may vary. Additionally, the app's rewards can only be used for purchasing digital content from the Google Play Store, limiting their usability.

I’ve had this app since late 2018 and have made $116. Now that’s not something one can retire on but considering I’ve skipped a ton of surveys and each survey I’ve completed takes literally less than 60 seconds, it’s not too bad. At first I didn’t get many surveys and could go weeks, if not months without a survey. Now I get them almost daily and sometimes more than one a day. This started after I got Google Home devices. Since setting up the smart speakers and hubs, I get surveys frequently. I receive money in my PayPal account about once a week. Seriously, once a week! $2.00 a week adds up, lemme tell ya. I highly recommend this app especially if you have Google devices but even if you don’t, I still recommend. It’s easy, the surveys take less than a minute most of the time, and once you reach $2.00, the deposit to your PayPal account is instant. Give it a shot! It’s free and there are zero ads!
Tldr; This is my favorite money making app. This won't pay your bills, it won't change your life. But it also takes maybe 2 minutes a day, and can easily pay for your monthly spotify subscription. If you're looking to cut costs here and there by making a subscription or two practically free, or you just want to have some extra money for your games - this is for you!
It’s a quality app. Instead of wasting your time looking for surveys you probably won’t qualify for anyway, you will always earn compensation for any survey that pops up. Most take less than a minute to complete. It tracks your location, so as long as you’re ok with that you are good to go. I have only gotten 4 or 5 surveys that I have been notified of, but the amount you need to earn before a pay out is set at just $2 which makes it a lot easier to actually make money.
I’m one of those kind of guys that picks a penny up on the sidewalk when he sees one. After about a years time, I’ll have somewhere around $60-$100 in coins saved up. When using this app, you get surveys that start out at about $.10, and sometimes I get close to $.50. It’s not every day, but I do get surveys often enough to start seeing the savings add up. I once listened to a financial advisor explain how wealth comes from multiple avenues of income. So I’m happy to say that I consider this another avenue that I can gain money from even if it’s a little here and a little dinner. I give this app four stars rather than five because it seems to cater more towards those who are out more often due to shopping or travel. I live in a pretty small town so there isn’t much for me around here. I still get surveys, but I would imagine I would get more if I left in a major city or something similar. But I find there to be more good than bad in this app so I will continue to use it and would definitely recommend it as I already have to friends and family.
Love google rewards! Just let it run in the background and forget about it…then every so often you get a notification, answer a couple basic questions and that’s it. Each set of questions pays you for your time. Gotten as much as slightly over $1.50 several times and gotten as little as $0.10 many times as well as everything in between. That $ stays in the app until it amounts to $2 then automatically transfers to my PayPal. Sometimes it only sends me one set of questions in a week and other times I’ve gotten 2-3 sets in one day on multiple consecutive days. May not seem like a lot but it could get you that extra gallon (or so) of gas you need to make it to where you’re going. Or pay for that piece of candy at the gas station that your youngin(s) suddenly can’t live without. Or maybe you decide to use it to buy a cup of coffee to give to the guy you drive past every morning on your way to work. The man standing on the sidewalk who braves the weather, has never asked you for money, simply waves at everyone while always holding up that same homemade sign with the word “SMILE” written on it. Never know when it may come in handy. Just get the app. Every little bit helps
I really like these Google Opinion surveys because I feel that my feedback is a lot more likely be used to improve my experience across a wide variety of areas than with other feedback/review options. They are interesting and easy to complete quickly, and the rewards, while individually small, always feel appropriate to the amount of time invested and they add up over time to a meaningful, useful amount.
I LOVE this app! I don't get the surveys all the time so when I do get them - I DO THEM! Never missed one. You get on average I think $0.10-$1.00 per survey. They're usually 1-5 questions. Mostly multiple choice (usually only 1 box to leave feedback on your choice). Then you can spend your money in Google play. I personally like to save up & buy movies with them. I've been using app for about 1 year & have purchased (and rented) a few movies so I'm happy with the free easy money! Thanks
I LOVE this app! I use it to pay my YouTube Music script. I read the negative reviews on here and hope they all realize that they need to keep ALL their notifications on, especially locations. Driving by different areas and locations is how to get more and more surveys. There's also time limits to finish the surveys. I've received over $200 since 2019. It's 100% free and 100% worth it, I promise.!!
This app is really easy to use and they actually do pay you. It seems that you make about 10 cents per question, which isn’t much at all but I don’t mind. If companies are already gathering data on you, you might as well get a little cash for it. I like that the surveys only take me a few seconds to complete. I think the longest one took me around one or two minutes and I got paid $1.10 for it. The app gives you surveys based on your consumer activity. The more stores and buying-related google searches, the more surveys you get. Lately, I haven’t been making much because I only travel to work, home, and the grocery store—not much consumer activity there. Still, I cash out at least once a month on just that. Whenever I go on a road trip I get many more questions and can cash out around two times a month. If you shop a lot or travel, I would definitely recommend this app. I still have it because I think it’s worth the effort and I like watching my money from the app grow—it’s kinda of exciting to see how much extra you can make per year. It’s about enough to go to your favorite expensive restaurant.
It does add to your Google account, and like I saw someone else post, I use it for in-app purchases. It is adding some new updates today for me, so I hope this helps my issue. I have the exact location on and still keeps asking me about places I never went to or are not even located in my city...so I get 0.10$ added. If it actually asked me about a local place, which is rare lately, I'll get a better amount.
It's a great app, and I have been using this for a long time now. I only use this to purchase game stuff at around .99 cents, which I'm okay with. BUT! For the last couple of months, it has been asking to complete my profile or turn on location, which I have, and hasn't given me receipt notifications in a long time. It still gives me surveys, but not as often as before. Please fix the location thing. It's really annoying, and I miss getting the receipt part.
Previously, I had left a negative review, but this app is nothing if not a major salvage of what it had been. It had very few surveys, low payout, and was full of bugs. Now, this app has daily surveys, sometimes 2, takes receipts, has payouts of 10 cents or more for surveys (which is an improvement), and runs perfectly smoothly, the funds going directly into your Google account are a much appreciated bonus (it's not new, but it felt important to add). Still 4 stars for what it used to be.
Excellent app to get free play credits (great for free YT premium). I get maybe one survey a day on avg, since I have location services on and visit places a lot. I do frequently get the exact same questions, and get $0.10-0.40/survey but normally on the lower end. UX could use help. Wish it saved survey responses and had option to go back to previous page. Text input fields need to be the expandable text box instead of one that scrolls infinitely to the right in one line.
this app is pretty cool, it's easy to make a few cents to apply to play purchases. however, I have my location turned on and I keep getting location based surveys asking me which place I visited recently.. only one place on the list that comes up is even in my city, but it's NEVER the place I actually visited, just one that's in the vicinity of where I really went. Google should maybe work on location accuracy 🤷♀️
solid app, where you live and how much you go out is a big impact so if you don't get a lot of surveys...well that's just how it is. but the one thing I want to see change is in questions that are essentially "have you shopped for x in the last week?" the options are BASICALLY, yes and I'm going to buy, yes but I decided not to, or "No, and I'm not interested". there is no "No, but I AM interested". Understood that it isn't a data point you might want, but it produces inaccurate data points.
It's a good way to get a little bit of money for in app purchases, but the surveys are no longer asking opinions. It's only verifying how well they are tracking my phone. Asking which location I recently visited, and then gives multiple place names near somewhere I've actually been. Occasionally the place I went is one of the options, but not always.
Super easy app to use. Although I wish the money that you earned didn't have an expiration. Aug. 20th, 2025 I am still dumbfounded by the fact that survey earnings expire. I nearly had $40 saved, and now it's down by $20, and that's just silly. Why earn rewards if their just going to expire? I don't think it's right to offer a payment and then take it back. Maybe I was saving for something big in the Google Playstore, and now it's all gone because the funds expire. I
As much as I love how much free Google credit I got from this app, it's been busted since over a month ago. Every time I load the app, it bugs me about completing my profile, which was already set up, and it acknowledges that... only to bother me about setting it up again and again. There has been at least one update to the app since this issue, and it resolved nothing. It also stopped giving me notifications for surveys and receipts despite them being available.
This rewards app was great at first. I was making about 22.00 a month from surveys which I could use to buy movies or pay towards streaming apps. But Google has been lowering the surveys lately and also, not asking for my shopping receipts as much. I also notice I now only receive about 10 or 11 cents per receipt when it was more than that last year. So it's been disappointing the past couple of months. I'm hoping the Google rewards app changes for the better soon.
Lately there has been a pop up that says "qualify for more rewards - personalize surveys based on timeline" and no matter how many times I click "allow", nothing changes and I'm not getting any more surveys. I've used this app for years but this is a persistent issue now for weeks and it's getting irritating that I'm missing out on surveys because of this issue.
As of late it's been taking hours, sometimes days, for it to ask me for receipts for places I have visited. It used to ask me for this while I was in the middle of running errands. That aside, this is an easy way to get some extra Google Play credit on the side. In my case, I use this to help pay for YouTube Premium. I just hope they can fix the issues related to timing for requesting receipts and also consider upping the amount of the credit they give.
Not great, not too terrible. Biggest issue is the lack of surveys combined with the expiration date of the points you earn. After one year, each set of points you earned expires, making it near impossible to save up more than 5 or 6 dollars per year. Its a waste of time to bother with this app unless you only use it for a few bucks each year to be extra frugal.
It's ok. I used to get more requests now I'm constantly asked where I live or did I shop for something that I've already answered. I'm also pretty darn tired of being asked to complete the profile and enable settings I purposely turned off. I don't use timeline and am not interested in the constant tracking to ask me to upload receipts. Too many receipts were denied anyway and 2 cents isn't with the trouble of taking a pic and unloading. Please just stop asking for the profile update I answered.
Decent app but it asks for receipts several days to even a week later. People don't hold all their receipts that long. It used to pop them up with in 24hrs now it's taking longer and longer and longer. My most recent ones it's asking for are from a trip that I took 6days before. I can't remember if I bought stuff sometimes or if I was actually at that store or if I still have the receipt. Also it almost never asks me questions anymore which is weird. Always got several a week previously.
I've been using this app for a while now, almost never missing an opportunity to make a few cents. I rarely get any surveys, often waiting multiple days in between. This makes it incredibly hard for me to keep using this as a reliable backup for when I want to play a game costing $5 and above. Meanwhile, there's a handful of other survey apps that potentially pay out better, pretty much rendering this one obsolete. It was better when I first started it though. Kind of sucks.
I downloaded it to earn money and it sucked. I hate that the surveys are based on places you go. it's totally unfair especially to those who can't even go out to places or don't vacation at all. it should be based on things you like, music, art, books, science, history, anime, ect. it would make this app so much better and make people download it more and probably get this app to a rating of 4.7 or 4.8
I don't get surveys at all. I shouldn't have to sign up for targeted ads just to get surveys. Pretty sure that's coercion at best and downright malicious at worst. I signed up for them but haven't had one in over 12 months. absolutely ridiculous. receipts no longer net gains either, with most giving 2p max. which isn't much better than the 1p you get when the shop doesn't do receipts (bc most places are paperless now)
any more it constantly resets $0.00 this used to be an amazing app, but I haven't been able to actually accumulate anything any more, it's always at zero every few surveys, yet it shows on history what I've earned just not where it keeps going. I've made $89 dollars yet haven't been able to spend anything lately. ITS BS! about to delete unless I get a response to email I sent soon. make sure to watch your balance y'all!
I'm having trouble pretty much all of July and parts of June getting surveys. I've been to the same stores I normally go to and more, and now I'm no longer receiving surveys to submit receipts. the only thing that changed was the regular update to the app I did. I tried installing and reinstalling but still can't receive surveys for receipts. I had this app for at least 5 years. this is the first time I've had an issue like this. please help.
Changingy review from 5 to 1 ⭐. It started out great. Lots of surveys, lots of rewards. For the past couple of years I've gotten 2 surveys per month for a total of $0.20 per month. If you don't use the reward within a year, they take it back. So some months are negative gains. For the past 3 months, I received 1 survey and got $0.10. it says I accrued $39.00 since I downloaded this app. I think I've used around $8.00. I've never been able to get a ove $10.00 I rewards at one time.
