Overall a great sounding streaming app!! Mostly every artist I searched for is on Deezer. Really simple to navigate. Gives you options to change sound quality for those who want to listen to music crystal clear or you can custom setup if you are using cellular data to a few setting that won’t use as much data. Good options for everyone really. Ok I have only one thing they could change but it’s just my opinion. I love dark mode! So if Deezer could add the option for dark mode for there general interface. It’s not bright white all the time tho. It does have nice colors on the song that you play that match the album cover in a nice way. I’m sure they are working on dark mode for IOS 13 anyways. So nothing really to complain about. The app works great and oh yeah, I like the flow setting too. Thanks Deez!!
I got this app as an alternative to Spotify and I'm happy with the switch I made. This app is great, does everything that I want in a music app and has few ads. Yes there are ads in the free version but they're pretty spaced out so you don't get them too much to annoy and most of the time it's just an ad for the premium version at least for me so far. Definitely happy with the app.
Love everything about this app!! Unbelievable quality with high end headphones, beautiful colorful and easy to use app with awesome features, love being to fade out the music to blend the ends and beginnings of songs together, makes everything feel just that like you’re in ur own music world! 360 audio needs work but I got this app for the higher quality music and for how beautiful the app layout and everything is! Love the flow features and literally everything about this app! Can’t say good enough! My only pet peeve is if you choose the premium app and pay though Apple you have to wait 1 month until you can upgrade to Deezer hifi or make a new account witch takes time finding music again and getting everything back but other then that app is perfect!

I never take time to write reviews because 9 times out of 10 it is useless, regardless of the quality of the app. However, I’m blown away at the capabilities of this app. By far the best streaming app for music. The interface is seamless and smooth making it super easy to learn and navigate. You can download your favorite music or podcast to listen offline. They even have a mood for your music, to which you can adjust to 5 different mood settings, allowing you to add and subtract to tweak each mood to your liking. But the thing that really sold me was the ability to transfer all of your music from the other 8 apps and sites you use, and condense it all in one! The day for this should've came a lot sooner but I’m glad it’s here now, it is such a beautiful thing and makes music streaming effortless. All this for less than $10 month, you can’t beat it. Was unsure about trying this music service at first as I had used Spotify almost exclusively for a long time, but decided to download it and see what it was like and I literally couldn't be happier with my decision! It seems to have almost everything that I listen to, and it transferred all of my Spotify favorites and playlists over without a hitch. Streaming sound quality is superb, at least equal to anything else available and it still works well even with low internet speed.
Was looking for a free service to replace the Amazon Music app I was using. Tried several pay services with none that served my needs. Other free basic services didn't thrill me either. I use Deezer at work mostly. It offers the ability to select specific artists and albums along with nicely curated playlists. Really, give it a try.
Now that the options tab in the media player has been moved to the top, it is very difficult to access the album page on the go. This is my most used button other than "launch track mix". Deezer should consider a shortcut that takes you directly to the album page of the song you're enjoying! Otherwise, Deezer is definitely improving and rounding out their app after the update. Great job on listening to people's requests!
The app is good and prices are decent, but the most annoying thing is that I type in an artist, like "Shane & Shane", all properly capitalized, and the search makes me scroll down and find it rather than suggesting it at the top. It will also say a song or artist can't be found if it's not typed with capitalized letters, or has a common misspelling. The search needs a LOT of work and nothing has changed in years, despite it being a paid app subscription.
Edit: Back for round 2 still in search of the song I failed to like. Selection is definitely worth it, will send forth gripes on functionality/navigation as I find it. Now if only Google would give you another 500 spaces to edit. I really wanted to like this app. At first there was this French Punk playlist with one song in particular I really liked. I've had a lot of issues with the interface. I found it very difficult to navigate where I wanted to go. Got stuck and uninstalled the app.
I wanted to give Deezer a shot because of some article I saw. In my opinion, it's overhyped. Flow doesn't live up to the hype. Recommendations are not as good as other platforms. I found the service to be slow, songs buffer instead of playing outright like on Spotify. If Deezer was cheaper, it'd be a nice budget alternative for a back-up, but at its current price and issues (Z Fold6), I wouldn't use it. Tried a premium plan and, within the hour, canceled it. I'll stick with Spotify.
i tried a month using it and the first days were PERFECT. i was convinced that it was way better than other apps i've used before... the volume is perfect (with others i have to use volume boosters!) and the quality is one of the best. buuuut of course it was only the first days :( after the first week the songs wouldn't play because "there's an error and we can't play it" so i would have to open the app and press "retry" for it to play. and that would happen every 2 songs! it's tiring!
Good and bad.. In many ways it's much like any other streaming player, I like the concept option that I can "dislike" certain tracks and artists so they won't be played, although it often goes ahead and plays those tracks anyway! The most annoying thing is it simply won't cast to my home amplifier no matter how many times I try. —Other players cast just fine, but Deezer won't do it.
The Mix and Flow features are great. I found several new artists I had never heard before. It helps keep music fresh, whereas Spotify feels very stale and repetitive. However, the app is riddled with all kinds of bugs. Menus that pop up and then disappear, searches that fail and then have to have a single letter changed to actually try again, and often a loop of attempting to load songs and not doing it. The integration with Sonos is also pretty bad, it often does not work at all.
this app isn't user friendly. its hard to navigate podcasts. finding the episode list is a frustrating chore. can't mark as played. idk if spot ify has sole rights to use certain features but take a lesson from their app. I refuse to use them anymore but it was easier. I hate that I can't FF thru the widget. I hate when I play a song it automatically shuffles afterwards instead of playing that artist only or where I left off. cataloglayout is confusing. it's a good app overall. needs major work.
Doesn't have a lot of songs I like which would be fine if all the songs actually downloaded. It's almost/completely selective. I've moved songs to other playlists to see if they'll download there. The best option was keeping them on the screen while the songs load and this was on another device and a lot of the songs still didn't download for offline access. Not a big fan but it's okay for the time being. Searching for a good mp3 player so I can just do it the old way.
good overall, often when it picks track the tracks are obscure and unpopular. I assume its because they cost less. It will start with a good one then start seving lemons. it's also a pain to use multiple devices, it will straight up refuse. I go long periods of time not using it because of the frustratingr it won't let me log in without donating an organ. Aside from that it's not bad. it averages out at average.
Allow the flow genres to be manually reordered. In the player screen it can be difficult to click the artist name to go to their page. I looked up a track to play and instead of going to the next track it starts a track mix for each track instead of playing the search list. 30 seconds is not enough time to determine if someone likes a song. New Releases flow need to be more like standard flow, because it adds songs that are not related to my tastes.
So far no issues other than it stops during a song . It always does it when I open the app. Doing it more and more. Was 5 stars but now 4 stars. As you can see 3 stars now. I go to add music to my music queue and it double loads sometimes even triple the same album. Super annoying. Please fix asap or I will not be renewing my subscription. Thank you
I find it difficult In general to use. Never had a music streaming service before and maybe I'm a little too old or something. But it's sort of frustrating at times to understand how to set a different play list. and why doesn't it tell you that you already have added a song to a list? don't think I'll renew my subscription and just go back to my CDs and radio.
The music streaming is good but the algorithm and sorting are... strange. It seems to pull from ALL of your liked files, even when generating for a "like this artist" or "like this album" queue, and I found that they had multiple artists with the same name under one listing, meaning I couldn't follow the one I actually liked in the list without 20 others. I do like the way ads are done so far. They're about as frequent as on Spotify but much shorter.
Great Spotify alternative! There's a feature that lets you transfer all your liked songs, playlists, etc. so it's an easy transition. Sound quality is 4-5x better, and library is *almost* as big. Only 30 of my 3500+ liked songs didn't transfer. My issues after 1 week: there's no way to sort playlists into folders, I have over 100 of them so that would be nice. Add to queue doesn't work; it adds the song randomly instead of after what's playing now, you can only add songs to one playlist at time
Since the demise of Google Play Music, we’ve been shopping around for a good music player app. Deezer has come highly recommended, but there’s one design flaw that I just can’t get around. I am home full time and like to stream my music to my TV or other player. When it finishes playing my selected album, it starts playing other, random music from the same or similar artists. Even if I set the album to repeat, it STILL plays other music and albums. I want it to stop playing all together over choosing music for me. If I want a radio station inspired by a specific artist, I’ll use Pandora. Because I am currently using a variety of players right now, I’ve also noticed Deezer is less intuitive than other platforms at finding music based on my search credentials. For example, if I want to listen to Christmas music from a certain artist, it will only bring up albums that specifically have “Christmas” in the album title, not all of their holiday music. Just today I wanted to listen to an album called “Christmastime” by Michael W Smith. I typed “Michael W Smith Christmas” in the search field and it wouldn’t bring up the album
I like this app and it's features; also the clean look. But it'll stop playing and ask to retry. One has to uninstall and then reinstall for it to be okay, again. I haven't had to do that in awhile, but I hope it won't do so, again. Maybe you've fixed this app issue? Also, a very big problem: why have the rest of my songs disappeared from my Favorites playlist?? Only a few songs show. The rest were gone. I had to uninstall and reinstall. Sheesh. This app takes effort to use.
Songs won't load. Slow response time happens way too often. Tracks will buffer in the middle of playing. Complicated to download set lists for airplane mode listening. Takes way too many clicks to Don't Recommend This Track Again. Good algorithm. August/2025 Years later, server response time is even worse. Click a song, wait 15 seconds for it to start playing
Could have been 4-5 stars if it actually worked. TONS of bugs: entirely different songs than the one I tapped would play, swipe type doesn't work, add to queue doesn't work, opening queue crashes the app, etc. Customer Support refused to give me a partial refund and told me to buy a new phone in order to make the app work. Absurd. I'm going back to downloaded, locally-stored music from now on, throwback to the iPod days. Didn't think anything could be worse than Spotify, but I was wrong.
I'm a premium subscriber using Deezer on a Pixel 6 Pro w/latest software. Since the latest update to the app the screen flickers a few times when opening it which is really hard on the eyes, only happens with deezer. It also keep popping up this share a screenshot garbage when I favorite or skip tracks and I even have that feature turned off. Now when I favorite tracks they don't show up in my favorites and the flow algorithm has changed drastically and for the worse! What am I paying for?
Glitchy If you turn off your screen before Deezer starts playing music, it'll sound super distorted, and when you turn your phone back on to stop this, it plays nonstop ads. No music. The automatic Playlists are nifty at first, but after a while, you will notice they grab from the same list of 30 songs. Some of the Playlists even have weirdly mixed genres that have nothing to do with the base song the Playlist was made around.
Terrible Android Auto experience: never resumes music from last time, Flow is the only easily accessible customized option, and Google Assistant will respond to every request with "there was a problem with Deezer." I used to slightly prefer the Deezer app over Spotify/Apple Music, but they haven't improved Android Auto in years.
I got a free trial to use this app back in August and very quickly realized it doesn’t come close to Apple Music so I deleted the App. Before doing so I made sure to check my subscriptions to make sure my free trial doesn’t turn into a paid one, but I didn’t see anything so I thought I was all good. After months of having the App deleted I find out I’m somehow getting charged for this. I message customer support cause this cheap company doesn’t even have a phone service and they tell me they can’t do anything to refund me. They tell me I should’ve known to go to my Deezer account to cancel my subscription. I’m a college student who has been laid off from work facing a financial nightmare during this pandemic and they simply don’t care. THEY SIMPLY DON’T CARE!! If a company doesn’t show sympathy in a time like this they’re simply MONSTERS. Thank you for taking money from a financially struggling student. Update, I spoke to customer service again after receiving a comment to my review that they care. They only refunded me one month. ONE MONTH! I’m sure they can check my account usage and see I haven’t touched the service since August but they only care enough for one month. Stay away from this MONEY HUNGRY APP, they don’t believe in customer service. I hope the money you stole from me was worth it! It would be nice to be able to speak to a higher up. I wanted to like this app, but I have had nonstop issues since signing up. At first it wouldn't create my account, next it wouldn't acknowledge my subscription, and now two days in a row I haven't been able to sign in to listen to music. "Support" has done nothing to help. I've repeated myself to every support person and they all give me the same generic response. The link they send to reset the password is broken. This wasn't worth the frustration.
