After much frustration with Amazon Music's app (and Tidal's app) inability to resume your music queue if the app was updated or phone rebooted, or anything that closed the app I tried Apple Music. I've had to recreate all of my playlists, but Apple's app works. I don't lose my music queue anymore, even when I close the app and restart my phone. Open it up and it's right where I left it. Can actually listen to my 500+ song playlists that takes multiple weeks to get through without starting over!

Hello, the only problem I have with this app is whenever I play the DW album by Ariana Grande, almost every song that I play on that album she ends up coming in early, or the music is really delayed, or they end up not even singing the words at all. And it’s specifically this album I haven't had a problem with this when I play another artists song or any one of her other albums. For example when I played ‘leave me lonely’ Macy gray at the being is supposed to say ‘dangerous love, your no good for me darling’ but what I end up hearing is ‘love, you’re no good for me darling’ another example would be ‘Bad decisions’ at the start of the bridge when she sings it’s heavily delayed and the music in the background ends up delaying like 4 seconds, and it is so off. Again I really do like this app but that’s the only problem I noticed and for some reason only that album. It could just be my phone but idk is this happening for anyone else? (Also many of the lyrics in some of the songs I listen to are way off

The only reason why I had initially signed up for Apple Music was because Verizon was willing to include it in my plan for free. I'll admit I was curious about it but wasn't planning on using it as my main music provider. For 7 years, Spotify was my go-to & yes, I had Spotify Premium. The more I used Apple Music, the more I realized how much I liked it. It's so much more organized than other apps I've tried. The Playlists, the suggestions, the transitions, the quality of the sounds 🔥🔥

Freaking love Apple Music! It’s playing all the time. Let’s be real, it’s playing Harry Styles all the time. My only gripe is when I’ve added songs/albums to my library and multiple playlists before they have lyrics. When they finally get lyrics in Apple Music, it doesn’t update in my library. If I delete what I have to get the updated version, all the songs delete from my playlists. A similar thing happened with Lizzo’s latest album. I added the album to my library before it was fully released and when she did the lyric change on GRLLLS it didn’t update to the new version. The sung words too, not just the written lyrics. Also, (apparently I have another gripe) when I’m plugged into my car, the play next option becomes unavailable. I realize this was done for safety but so many other more dangerous options are available. Like to share the song through text. Most of the time my carpool buddy is acting DJ anyway so this is über annoying.

Such an amazing app, but it has it's glitches. 1. Some of the songs I have saved in my library, their cover art is cut off halfway. Half is the album art, and the other half is all black. I'm so confused by this glitch. I've deleted and reinstalled the app so many times, but it still happens. Please fix this in your next update. 2. There is album glitches. Whenever I add an album by the same name, but two different artists, it glitches and sees it as whole album because of the exact name.

For being you know, *apple* music it's surprisingly good on android all things considered. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it can be a bit buggy occasionally, sometimes only one song on albums will load or music won't play. Would love if some of those issues could be fixed but for the most part it's a good app.

**Update** I'm genuinely impressed - I hated this app not too long ago and even switched to Spotify to escape it. However, major pros for the improvements and fixes that were clearly made: much smoother performance, less snagging and skipping during playback, and no issues downloading or adding music to my library. I'm back and I think I'll keep it this time.

Love this app. So far I find it better than most music apps. Couple of issues I have is that when I'm listening to one of my playlists, the songs are at different volumes. It's probably the recordings, but it would be nice if they're was an option to switch on or off so they would be the same volume. Also sometimes songs get skipped in the playlist or they won't play anymore. I have to remove them and then add them again. Not sure why the app is doing that.

Absolutely obsessed with the lossless quality audio and the seamless integration across all Apple products, a now staple feature living in the ecosystem. But I wish Apple Music had something on par with Spotify’s weekly “for you” playlist that curated music for you based on your library. And I believe Apple does have something like this; but the accuracy is just not there right now. Additionally, for the past few months, the shuffle, repeat, and single repeat buttons don’t immediately work when I change them. If I change any of those buttons, the next queued song plays, and THEN the change I made goes into effect. For example, if I play a song, then decide I don’t want to shuffle anymore, and that I instead just want to hear the next song in my library, the next song that plays will the be the song that was next queued in shuffle, and THEN the following songs will be chronological — not shuffled. A small thing, but really annoying! Would love to see these things fixed.

There is honestly no comparison in audio quality, fidelity, and selection; but with that, I feel, there are some issues. Recently I've been encountering an issue with adding music to my library, ie adding a band's discography to my library and having the album either not be added or take a long time to actually appear in my library. Additionally, if I accidentally add something to my library by an artist that is either on the wrong artist page (a common problem on all the music streaming platforms) or something I didn't intend to add to my library, I used to be able to remove it quickly and easily by selecting delete from library in the quick menu that pops up when holding down on the album, but now that option has disappeared from the quick menu. It's been like this for a while now and it prompted this review. While I won't be switching to a different music platform, I really want these issues fixed. Separately, there used to be recommended albums that appeared under each album similar to the way recommended artists appear under artist pages; I would really like that feature back, to be honest. While the listen now tab does a decent job of recommending music, it often skews to particular genres that don't reflect listening habits. The radio tab is also useless because it completely ignores your personal tastes and suggests popular music rather than music that actually suits the listener.

It's missing a few things I thought were standard when using Google Play Music but found that most apps are missing these things. I love this app and I'm happy it's on Android. Apple Music pays artist more than YouTube Music and has higher audio quality options baked into its $9.99/month or $99/year price tag. Any actual problems or glitches that I ran into were ironed out early into My testing of the app and I only have a wishlist of things I want to see. Overall, great music app!

Good experience in app, could be much better on Android Auto. Lacks some of those essential buttons you want to use while listening in the truck like loving or disliking a certain song in order to continually improve custom radio stations. Adding a song to your library is no problem but needs those two extra buttons there at the very least. Hope to see improvements in the future.

Works well but you can tell Android is an afterthought. Sometimes takes multiple attempts to have the app load. App closes if it's dismissed from the app window which is really frustrating. It's getting better but still not smooth. Love the music selection and quality of sound, however. And that's what counts the most

So I love this app it’s amazing you can find almost any song you want, you can browse songs you like, and they custom make playlist that they think you’ll like and they’re pretty good most of the time. But there is a couple glitches that any me out of my mind 1: it doesn’t always add the music to the queue when you click the play next button. 2: sometimes song will randomly freeze and not play and you have to mess around and skip that one and go back to it and it’s pretty annoying 3: recently theres been something that I’m not sure has something to do with my time restrictions but I’ve had them since I got this app and I’ve never had this problem. There are certain songs that I cant listen to and they “cannot open” and “this content is not authorized” the songs have not been taken off Apple Music I have checked and they are all appropriate and not explicit. Thank you for putting your time into reading this, and if you are the developer please do tell me how to fix these problems (also is there are any typos I am terribly sorry) EDIT: I deleted and reinstalled the app and still the same problem. My mom thinks we might have to reset my iCloud account and tell it that I’m older than I really am. Not very happy. EDIT#2: my whole family is having the same problem, I am not very happy and neither is the rest of my family.

I love the amount of music that you get with this app but if you have a Samsung phone it has frequent stops in between songs and it also skips. my husband has a iPhone and has no issues at all. that's crazy cuz I pay for it so it should work properly whether it's a android or iPhone device. the problem needs to be fixed immediately or loose a lot of users!

Apple music is good as a service. I jumped around music apps and the sound quality isn't nearly as good. That said, the app is impractical. When music is playing and I switch apps, the music app always goes to now playing view even if I wasn't on that screen when I left. It's painful to switch apps when listening and want to add other songs to a playlist. I have to hit back six times to return to search. please, just let me return to the screen I left from.

I like having so much music at my fingertips, but the app itself is seriously lacking. It's especially painful to navigate while driving, and if I try to get Android/auto to pull something up while I'm driving, it doesn't work unless the app is running and pulled up with the phone open. Also, when playing song to song, the app fades them together awkwardly, and it's terrible. just give me the two second pause! Hopefully it'll get better but being an Apple product, I have my doubts.

I was on a trial, trying to determine if I wanted to switch from Spotify, and after a day or two, I really wanted it to work out, because this app and the music is really nice. However, there's an issue where you can't play songs with voice commands via Android Auto unless your phone is unlocked, while the whole point of Android Auto is that you don't have to look at your phone while driving. That was a nonstarter. It's been discussed on Reddit and in Apple forums for years, yet there's no fix.

I have to reset the app by uninstalling it every so often because it will not play songs I try to add to the up next. I has a work around for this where I would add the song to my library which would get it to play and if I didn't like the song I would delete it. I am constantly listening for new music and this prevents me or my car mates from playing different tunes. My work around seems to be non-functioning now 🥲 No ads with paid version.

This app is great for listening to music. However, I've been encountering issues while the music is playing to where it'll break throughout. And it's not just one song, it'll be throughout. I don't know if it's connectivity issues or the app itself, but it's been happening pretty often. Another thing that I would like to see is the ability to select all songs at once within a playlist instead of individually. It's time-consuming, just trying to redo a playlist.

I recently switched from iPhone to an Android phone. I was loving this app until I discovered that it doesn't have volume equalization. I first noticed it when I was listening to my meditation mix with headphones. I had to turn it up to hear something that normally I would have heard fine. Unfortunately, the next selection practically blew out my eardrums. I never pulled headphones off so fast before. Apparently, this is a known issue and Apple hasn't done anything about it.

Not a great app. I often have to restart the app because of buffering issues. also, if you listen to an album from a band and want to switch to one of their other albums, rather than clicking back to go to their album page again, it takes you back to the home page. Really annoying, especially if it's a new band and youre not familiar with their albums.

60% of the time it works every time. Several times in the past and now Apple Music just stopped working. There were no error messages. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens when I press "Play" on any of the downloaded songs or aobums or any of the live content. On the positive note, Apple Music Support service is much better. At least it shows "An unexpected error has occurred, please refresh the page." message. Very informative. Are thee "expected errors" too? I am a paying subscriber (so far)

App stops playing for no reason. I play an artist, one song goes through, and then nothing plays. It somewhat makes sense when I move away from wifi, but most of the time when it fails to play im just sitting down. Still connected. Music selection is often buggy, too. I open an artist's song list, choose one, and an entirely different song plays. Only reason I'm still here is because Spotify raised the prices on me twice. And if that happens here, I'm out

Songs are not loading, even with cache set at 5GB and 5g data. It's happening on multiple albums, and has only started since upgrading to a Pixel 9 pro, never had an issue on my Pixel 7. The app is also automatically setting to repeat all when it connects to the car. It's very frustrating and I'm glad I still have a CD player in the car because I can still listen to music when the songs won't load

only thing going for this app is music quality. after hearing the difference between spotify vs apple I was converted. however I can't even make a single Playlist. it'll say songs were added but they don't show. I make one Playlist, it doubles it. it'll double some of the songs that actually make it to the Playlist to. when I tried going through an artists discography it'll show 3 songs in an album, go back and there's only 2? literally nothing about my experience has made sense.

Trash app. constantly stops working even after uninstall and reinstall. Songs that they no longer play, stay in your library/playlists and instead of removing them, it causes errors and stops the app from working. So much for having a "free" perk from Verizon wireless. No wonder there is a clear divide between android users and trash apple. can't even keep a simple app working that requires a subscription to use.

I really wish my "downloaded" music didn't constantly get frozen in buffering. Every hour or so I have to take out my phone and skip a song that refuses to play. Even if it wasn't downloaded I have great signal most of the time, so it's obviously a problem with their UI/music player. It's been broken for the last five years, so I doubt it'll get fixed any time soon.

Latest update has taken a fine app and simply made it less user friendly. Among other issues, the main two problems are the complete loss of the scrubbing ability and the ‘previously played’ and ‘up next’ features of the app. The ability to scrub through songs has just been removed, replaced only with a volume slide bar which is about as unnecessary as it gets, I’d prefer a return to the old format here. For the playlist feature, when you press the song being played and the previously played and up next songs pop up, the top of that screen is too close the activation area for opening the notifications slide down page. The result is that whenever I’m attempting to close the playlist page by sliding it down, I open my notifications page - simply less user friendly. Please restore these features to their older formats and have a few more trial testers before releasing this sort of failed update. Additionally, when I click the suggest less songs like this, the button should simultaneously function as a skip song button. Why would I ask the system to suggest less songs like that and continue listening to the song? Pandora had this figured a decade ago.

I wanted to use the app to find old music I used to listen to, by using their search/recommendations engine. I can't even do that, they won't let you listen to 5s samples without paying, and they give no options to delete the account in the app. The amount of hoops you have to jump through just to look at something they offer is so rediculous. Now I remember why I stopped using their platform in the first place.
