The app has really great features. You can do cash send, play lotto, buy vouchers and many other things. My favourite thing is the rewards. You can get a voucher after completing simple challenges, as simple as exploring the app. You even get cash back when you buy at their partnering stores. The app is really easy to use, and it's just like your best friend.
The Absa banking app makes our lives so much easier it's user friendly, fast and efficient. instant payments such as payshap is just a wonder! it is safe to use and also alows one to report Fraud on the banking App 24/7 and agent will call you back (at the banks cost) how cool is that. The all new feature to unlock your visa credit or debit card is also live now, which makes life so much easier and no need to stand in the branch. Remember to "protect your key's to the Safe"
This app is so powerful. you don't have to go to bank. to transfer money, change limits, stop card, view card details, international banking, buy vouchers, play lottery, pay someone or instution, is easy to register, use or open account. you can request a loan credit card and overdraft. there is a rewards which gives points. and many more
The Absa banking app so is easy to use, my funny comment is I like to play lottery on the app and it's so easy,I buy electricity on the app as well, from making transfers to also booking flights ✈️ on the app my gosh!🤣 downloading statements to paying my accounts. I just love the app. It has made my life easy. Ooh I can also ,only have a view of the accounts I want to see,isn't that marvelous 😀.
I definitely rate the app a full 5 stars and more! Full banking at your fingertips...! The Absa banking app is the most easiest and convenient app to use, and now with the Savings Coach, amazing. I love all that it offers and all that it can offer, from being able to download the bank confirmation letter, reversing debit orders, to checking your credit score, what is it that it does not do? I absolutely enjoy using the app, and will give it 5 thumbs up any day.
The Absa App is super easy to use and convenient. It allows me to do so much, from applying for overdrafts, credit card and increases, check my balances on various products e.g home loan, vehicle loan, my bank product insurances, transfer money, and deposit checks all from my phone without any hassle. The interface is clean and everything works smoothly. Notifications are helpful too, I always know what's going on with my account. Honestly, it saves me a ton of time. Highly recommended
I honestly don't know what I would do without the Absa Banking App. It's incredibly simple to use, easy to access, and by far one of the most user-friendly banking apps I've come across. What sets it apart for me is how much it offers beyond basic banking, whether I am making payments, buying tickets, upgrading, or checking my credit score - it's all right there in the app. The ability to view a detailed rundown of all my accounts, including their conduct, adds a whole new level of insight.
I can't remember when I last went into a branch. I do all my transacting on this app. It is easy, convenient, and user-friendly. I've used it to update my details, do cashsend, play lotto,buy airtime and electricity. There's also information on products and offers available to me. I love the Absa Rewards challenges and also that I can see my Rewards on the app. I feel safe and secure using the app.

It’s safe to use, with fingerprint biometrics, and sends instant alerts for all your transactions. I like how simple it is to use, and features like freezing your card if it gets lost are very helpful, overall, it’s a great app for managing your money on the go.
The ABSA banking app is excellent. It makes it very easy to do payments to various vendors, buy airtime, etc from the comfort of your home. It is user friendly and a must have for every ABSA customer. If you don't have it on your smartphone, go to your nearest ABSA bank and have them set it up for you. It's guaranteed to make your life a lot more easier.
Works well on the whole. Have issues if I need to do a 2nd Authorisation when using onmine Banking, while app is already open. Wont receive/open the 2nd Authorisation and it doesn't appear in the App Authorisation section. Often have to force close the App resend the Authorisation and then wait for new Authorisation.
The app is behind the other banks apps ...where are the virtual cards? Also its confusing in places. Hard to tell if a card transaction type is enabled or disabled. Another frustration is that ABSA can't change my email address. I've tried over theyears and given up. The help bot is useless. I forgot my password ,nd it took 1.5 hours to get it sorted in a branch. I think that s something to do with the old online banking I had before I switched to the app. That said, security is great.
When you have wifi connection or data, you really cannot beat Absa's Banking App. It is simple and easy to use with convenient necessities available at the touch of a button. However, when you are challenged with network issues or are out of data, it really becomes an issue, and Murphys Law this is, more likely than not, when there is an emergency or desperate need for it.
Unable to do/complete 'Ultimate' account upgrade. Once being directed to the site, a 'Technical error' comes up. Absa has been 'working on this' for quite a while. No way to UPGRADE on the ABSA web site, only open a new account
These days the app is really frustrating me. It will show that I have a certain amount of money in my account then when I try to use the card it declines. This is not right because then ur bank is charging me because there is no funds or the funds are not enough. Please fix this because not only is it frustrating but also very embarrassing at the shops.
It's user-friendly and clear, etc. Electricity tokens are usually immediate. But sometimes the app just doesn't respond (can log in but can't scroll or tap buttons), esp at night. And it freezes when authenticating online purchases sometimes.
Whilst the app handles banking well, which is it core function, it is incessant in its advertising and notifications and you can't turn them off because they are all labelled "verification" alerts, which are needed for essential use of the app. It also insists on resetting the home screen every couple of weeks to put the lotto on there. I feel taken advantage of as a bank client.
This is the worst banking app in the country. it can't be your only bank in emergencies. I don't recommend making it your primary bank. I get "something went wrong" error often I transact. morethan normal. I deleted it and re installed it. I'm here after trying to authenticate my profile for 30 minutes. because "something went wrong try again letter " it takes forever when I change phones too to authenticate. Do I only look like me after 50 tries when I change my phone?
waste of time. I tried 3 Times to buy airtime and ended up having to buy from a spaza Shop. it's way too slow. and the least I say the better. It's slow on everything and it doesn't even end up helping.its just the most useless app in my phone. I only keep it for balance check that's all
absa is one of the worst apps ever, when you don't have data it doesn't work whereas Capitec and Standard bank work even without data. when you don't have airtime and need to call their customer care with problems you are having with the services, you can't, whereas Nedbank has a toll free number. Absa also takes too long to answer or resolve your problem whether via email or a call, and the customer care consultants are always rude & always rushing a customer like they can't wait to hang up.
