Papa Murphy's is awesome. Huge pizzas, great value, and you can use food stamps. Every low income family I know utilizes PM regularly. They're great! This app, on the other hand, is hot garbage. It looks like it was designed for Windows 95 and is extremely glitchy. If it's coming up with weird errors or it says the store is closed during your selected pick-up time (when it's definitely open), just close out completely, force stop, and clear app cache. I have to do this before every single order.
1 star garbage! I use VPNs on my router and you can't detect them so hah! Can't use the app. First I had to turn off usb debugging. Then I had to turn off developer options. Then I was required to delete my VPN apps. I have like 10 different ones. This app was a huge waste of time. I've never been asked to delete other apps to satisfy another let alone a food app. if maybe the payment system can be compromised from other apps then maybe your app is the one with problems.
1 star, I hope you read this, I dont put 1 star because those get removed or buried, again 1 star but labled as 3. Well. I do things on my phone that require dev mode active at times, and this app doesn't allow that. So, uninstalling and using the phone number. I just wanted an easier option, but I don't mind keeping an employee busy while taking my orders while I'm sure they have tons of walk ins and mobile orders they could be taking care of. 1 star review. not actually 3. have a good one
I've never had a problem with the food, it turns out great every time. However, the app itself is terribly unoptimized. It takes forever to load, around 10 seconds to register any tap of my fingers, and when it does finally register if you happened to tap the same thing more than once during that time it will perform the same action however many times you tapped. If the pizza wasn't so dang good I would literally never use this app, it's very user unfriendly.
works but no rewards. I can only order from only one location in my city. and my rewards has stayed at one more visit from the last six visits I've had. but the worst part is once I paid for and picked up from one location it will not let me add my credit card to another location. Even with the new prices from Domino's it's still less of a headache than this BS.
App is functional at the bare minimum. Because of the way that the menu is locked behind a store locator, there is no way to look at the menu without being within the hours where they accept orders. You cannot schedule orders for the next day despite having the option to schedule out to the year 2100. Unable to use the app with developer options enabled, says it's for security concerns, makes me more worried about the app than anything else.
App is so slow. It took 25 minutes to order 2 pizzas because it took so long for each step to complete. It took forever for a page to load, then took even more time to be able to choose things. Delay from when I touched an item to the time it actually registered the touch was horrible. I haven't used the app in a long time, so I thought maybe it needed an update, but none was available.
The app is insanely slow, glitches and freezes all the time. It is not my service because I have full bars. I just spent over 20 minutes trying to order 2 pizzas, with no customizations. It frequently either adds 3 of the item, or kicks you out so you have to start all over again. I love their pizza, but the app is horrid. I only use it when the store won't honor a deal because its online or in the app only.
I love Papa Murphy's, but I no longer order here because the app sucks. It has been the slowest responding app for over a year now. No matter what, it takes 15-20 minutes minimum to get an order placed. Every click takes forever to register. Doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or 5G, still the same. They have lost business a lot because of this.
[Update April 2025] Login works, but the app won't let me actually place any kind of order. [Original Dec. 2023] The app won't even let me login to my account. Even resetting the password, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't fix anything. After waiting several hours, it still only gives an error message that too many attempts have been made and to try again later.
Installed and tried to load the app, and was immediately met with a requirement to turn off developer options on my phone in order to run it. There's absolutely no security reason for a pizza app to require this type of modification, so I'm uninstalling. It appears, based on other reviews, as if it's kind of a horrible app to begin with. I'll keep using their website instead.
Extremely frustrating app! 6/1/25 still sucks, each click took 20 seconds to respond (I counted) wouldn't save the customization when I clicked done with customization instead it ordered it without customization and took me back to the whole or half options. loading extremely slow to the point of dial up internet flashbacks but without the squeal. gave up and went to the actual website and didn't have any problems. I'm deleting the app. Hopefully I get the right toppings this time.
I've been using apps since they've come out in the late 2000s. so far this app is probably one of the slowest apps I've used ever. I could literally count from 10 to 15 seconds from pressing the button until it would highlight. extremely confusing to use and you couldn't even tell if you pushed a button or not until waiting a quarter of a minute for to tell you. Even with 5G full connection it would just run extremely slow. while every single app on my phone runs extremely fast.
This app is awful! It is so slow and it causes it to take so long to place an order. It is like the thing is run by dial-up. I would expect better from such a large chain. It should not take me almost 20-30 minutes just to place an order from a place that I am still going to have to pick up from and take it home to bake it myself. I was able to go to the location, order, have them make it, and get it home faster than it was to try and order on the app. Ridiculous! Update your technology!
The two main issues with the app... the store basically requires you to use the app to get any of the deals they offer. If you walk in, they refuse to honor any deals and make you pay more for the exact same product. That's just awful customer service end of. Then on the app they refuse to give you an option to pay in cash when you pick up the order. They require a card of some sort. Just a horrible app for a horrible company.
This is, by far, the worst restaurant app I have used. There is a 10-15 second delay after each "click". After painfully making my order, that should have taken 3-4 minutes, but it actually took almost 20 minutes, I received an error message saying my order could not be completed, please call the store to place your order.
So Slow and Laggy! This app is the worst! When you tap a button it doesn't seem to do anything, but then 30 seconds to a minute later, it goes through. If like me, you think "it didn't register my tap, I should do it again." Big mistake! Now it's going to open, then reopen whatever you tapped on, only after it's waited for quite a while. I seriously am getting flashbacks to dial-up internet days when everything ran that slow... however, I'm on 5g with a flagship Samsung phone. Bad app!
Trying to order a pizza. Pretty basic stuff. However, this app refuses to do what pizza ordering apps do. clicked start order, selected in store pickup, found my nearest store and when prompted for a time, selected asap. The app pops up a dialog box that tells me hours only go back a week. I don't care about last week. The app will not continue. The dominos app doesn't have a problem doing what it is supposed to do, so I'm going to use it until I can use yours.
The app is extremely slow. It took me almost an hour to place an order for only two pizzas and kept having a message pop up saying "The app is not responding." I like the pizza tho. Edit: By the time I finally completed my order, it had actually been about 2 hours, and my phone battery went from 48% to 21%. That's just insane. Fix this.
Update (April 2025): App has gotten so slow it can't even take credit card information sometimes on a high-end, flagship phone. I think it's officially the slowest (and perhaps most unusable) app I've ever seen. Amazing. I suspect they're trying to send everything to the server, but can't handle traffic under load. Stick to the website.
