We have been using this very helpful app since it came out. It does what it was designed to do and does it well without a bunch of advertising or other junk. It has seen numerous improvements over the years. It is very convenient to be able to check in and know how much time I have to run other errands before my scheduled time. The text updates is one of the best improvements made recently. A couple of features I would like to see in a future update: 1 - The ability to track coupons via the app. I regularly get them in the mail or on the back of my receipt but like many people lose them before they can be used which is a bummer. 2 - to be able to review the name of the stylist and their notes about the cut for the last couple of visits. The stylist usually prints the notes from the receipt printer (I think) to review the notes left by the last stylist. It would be helpful to know what one stylist did on one cut and then what another did that would make the cut even better. Plus I have a terrible memory for names so when a stylist does a great job I forget their name and can’t ask for him or her on the next visit. It’s a great app that performs it function perfectly every time I have used it which is at least once a month or more for many years!! Thank you for the positive feedback! Great Clips® loves saving people time and we are glad it helps make your day a little easier. We appreciate your feedback! We’ll share this with the Great Clips technical team.

I love the app and the two people that cut our hair did an amazing job. However I came back to try and redeem two coupons the the manager immediately got an attitude with me and would not allow me to redeem the two coupons sent to me in the mail. I paid over $65 for two haircuts and she was unwilling to void out my transaction and allow me to use these two coupons. I said I run a business and know she could very easily void out the previous transaction, but she had the audacity to say that I was offending her. So I asked if she could allow me to use these coupons for next time and extend the expiration date. Once again she gave me attitude and if it wasn’t for a customer in the lobby coming to my defense she wouldn’t have given me that option. She clearly is having a bad day and I certainly didn’t mean to cause her any grief. I hope her days gets better! My experience with the two individuals that cut my sons hair and my hair was amazing but the minute I engaged with your store manager she was extremely offensive! I’ll be back and I hope I don’t have to deal with her again We're sorry to hear this was your experience. If you'd like, please email [email protected] with the details and location. We will be happy to help you. Thank you.

Today I checked in on line then went in for my haircut. I could see it was a busy day and yet each person who came in was greeted warmly and signed in. One man (I believe his name was David) didn’t want to wait and he wanted a particular person to cut his hair. He was told that she was about to go to lunch, but if he didn’t mind the wait she would cut his hair when she got back. He didn’t want to wait and went with someone else. He had been grumbling prior to getting in the chair and continued with language that was quite vulgar. Cassie was thinking we cutting my hair when suddenly David says take this off me, referring to the apron. He started cursing at the lady who had been about to start cutting his hair. He then ripped off the white tape from his neck and threw it at her. She told him he could leave. He continued to curse at and beret the worker. The other workers stood together and told him to leave. He yelled that he would never be back and did we all know how much money he had spent in there. I said so what. (Because honestly, who cares!!) He left still cursing. The staff did not stoop to his level, but stood fast supporting each other. No one did anything that would have made a “normal” person upset. Great Clips should be proud of the professional behavior of all the women working during this incident. I know I certainly am!!

Used it for 3 years now, in several states. Pretty good app, actually. Normally, apps for things such as this don't work as intended. I personally have had zero problems with it, except on the rare occasion that it forgets/assigns old favorite locations as my main, which, again, is very rare. (Edit: still 5 stars, but the developers have reached out to me saying they are fixing this rare and minor bug; it was almost immediate, so they obviously listen to feedback! 6/5 stars)

I love the ease of being able to just tap one icon on my phone, and because I saved my regularly visited salon to my favorites, it automatically brings me to them on the reservation page when the app launches. I just select how many people and submit. Plus I have all the contact information for them or any other salon at my fingertips. Two thumbs up.

Love the app! Just a foot note...sometimes I check in with my friends/family and they have different numbers...when we check in, we have to have some one put at the bottom of the list, (the comp asks for one number and assumes we have the same accounts) however the stylists do a wonderful job of honoring my friend’s spot, the only bad part is that other customers don’t know that my friends checked In with me. Is there a way you guys can revamp either the app or the computer system to prompt the stylist for another number so that this issue can be less of a hassle? When the wait time is maxed out is there a way for the app to say walk in only. What it says now it’s too confusing for some people. Also is there a way to notify people when the time goes up for lunch and end of day. Or adjust some how before we get our text to let us know that the salon is running behind. It very miss leading to us consumers that we’ve been in the waiting list 2+ hours and still have to wait longer cause the stylists punching out. Thank you for your time!

I have visited the same salon for years, but only recently started using the app. I don’t know if it’s saving me time or mostly saving them time, but one thing that is desperately needed is a way to request a specific stylist. In our case, it would be helpful to AVOID a specific stylist who was horrible to my young son, made him cry, flatly refused to read or replicate his previous haircut instructions and instead grabbed a pair of clippers and shaved massive amounts of hair off before I jumped up to stop her. She was extremely rude to me when I was nothing but pleasant to her, even as she was condescending and argumentative. There needs to be an option to select “first available” if a customer doesn't care who cuts their hair or a drop down list (of each stylist working at that time) so customers can request to wait for one in particular. We won’t be back until that function or option is available because I value my family’s well-being and intentionally inflicting trauma on them isn’t ok. Great Clips might operate on the idea that “anyone can do it” but the truth when dealing with the uncertainty of human attitudes and abilities is that not everyone will. We are sorry that this was your experience. If you would like follow up, please email [email protected] or call us at 800-473-2825 ext 3. We will contact you and forward it to the franchisee as well. Thank you Rachael.

Much as is the case with most apps, this one isn't perfect, however it does provide an indication of the wait time and the opportunity to sign in to get on the wait list. it would be better if it designated individual operators by name and their hours of availability (nothing is more frustrating than to find one's preferred provider to be on lunch break upon arrival), so as to accommodate the ability to exercise one's preferred choice, if any.

yes this app is nice and convenient for when you want to check. But as a stylist it's doesn't factor in our lunches or breaks. So customers get upset when we tell them a different time then what was told in the app. some people try to use it as an appointment when this not what the online check in is for. It allows people to check in real-time. Anyways I think the app is great when we are busy to allow customers to check in. But as a stylist sometimes can be very frustrating and confusing

Your app wants to track me too much! You track through Google and Urban Airship. Why you need to know if my earbuds (or headset) are in use, I have no idea (looks like you are trying to track all data allowable).... Even when I'm not using your app! Thanks DuckDuckGo for tracking this, and for blocking the tracking! Ps: Great Clips isn't the only app tracking users, even while not using other apps! The data trying to be collected is astounding!

Its pathetic that I as a blind person cannot use the app because of how poorly created it is. I should not need a sighted person helping me every time I want to make an appointment On MY PHONE! Please, will someone hire some blind people with apple devices and have them beta test this with voiceover? If you don't know what I'm talking about, settings>General>Accessibility>Voiceover. Or, Just ask Siri to turn on Voiceover. Its an accessible feature for the blind and low vision that allows someone like myself, to write a poor review on apps like this that lack a lot from mislabeled buttons to not even having the check-in button anywhere within reading range of my phones accessibility features to pick up when I'm moving my finger across the screen. Not trying to rip into yall, but too many businesses make excuses as to why they don't make things available for everyone including the blind. Too much money, would ruin the layout... I'll just say this now. Its cheep. Also, theres ways of doing it that will not kill your layout. There is a lot of blind folks out there who are computer programmers who work along with sighted computer programmers, especially at Apple. Look at a lot of apples products for a day with your eyes closed, and just using voiceover on your iPhones. Now, do the same thing with your app and you'll see what I mean. Please, I beg of you to fix this. Thank you for your feedback. We know that most of our customers are connecting with us through technology and we are working diligently to provide an accessible solution for all of our customers. We also thank you for your patience as we work through this process.

While I find it convenient to be able to check in on my phone, the ETA system is absolutely horrible! I am have a busy schedule, like most people. When you see the eta start at 120 minutes and work it's way down to 2, YOU GET READY TO HEAD IN but it jump back to 45 then you wait for it to get back to 26 then jump back to 50 is total BS! This is the 2nd time in as many check ins (with the app) that this has happened and is very frustrating.

For over 2 months I cannot log in. I get these messages: Online check-in unavailable. Sorry something went wrong, salon details failed to load. Colonnade location unavailable. In fact, all locations come up as unavailable. I live locally to Colonnade store, but not that close to go without a reservation. You have to be losing customers with this horrible system. I had used Great Clips for over 2 years.
