Im guessing its for 3 movie they told me to pick in the beginning and 3 credits gave me that idea that i got to say this and say i have 3 movies to watch any time i want till the credits are no longer 3 but 0 which means i got 3 choices 3 mistakes the mistakes are you cant pick which movie, can’t watch tv, and most likely don't have one. I came here to say that but i might just support no complains just curious I like john wick movies thank you for having them!
If this app had a way to buy more credits I would give it 5 stars. I don't watch enough T.V. to justify getting cable/ satellite and I'm sure there's other people that feel the same. Offering a way to buy credits would be a great way to bring more people to this app. I saw a few shows I'd definitely watch but because I'm saving credits for a specific show, I'm not going to use them. So SYFY is definitely missing an opportunity here. Let us buy credits or offer a monthly subscription!!
The SYFY app is pretty good. But it could use an enhancement update. I currently use the app on an Android box and 2 Android TV's. The app does not work well with Android Boxes or Android TV's. Example: I'm currently watching Battlestar Galactica but I want to go back and watch the last 2 episodes over again. The app does not work well with regular remote control. It's optimized to work with a smartphone or tablet for figure scrolling only. The app is not allowing me to scroll back to rematch
So let’s talk about people saying ads being interrupting and stuff, so basically I never watched from here but people say many ads. If you can turn down the ads from them that will be great! Also I will get to the point why I downloaded this and never used it. Second, WHY ISNT HARRY POTTER WORKING! none of the movies work for me! I wanted to watch the prisoner of Azkaban. (my fav) but it says failed playback speed! There aren’t any comments on it for some od reason! I wanna watch Harry Potter! I tried NBC and USA but nothing is working for it, I’m not gonna pay 4 dollars to rent something when I can just watch it here. Soup2day has a virus on it! So I don’t understand. Please try working on this problem. I have school work to do right now! I wanted to check if it’s working now but it’s not. Before 2021 I hope it’s working! I wanna cry again about people! Thank u for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful chrismas and happy New Years. If your reading the after that well, I hope u had a great New Years! And plz make Harry Potter movies work before New Year’s Eve! Thank u bye bye!
Half way thru every episode of resident alien during the gambling ad my episode glitches and either puts me into a loop of constant commercials or completely freezes up and won’t allow me to watch anything further. I have to close the app and reopen it 3-4 times to make it allow me to watch. At that point it does not allow me to pick up where I left off, but rather forces me to re watch all the commercials again and repeat the whole process over or skip ahead 15 min and miss a bunch of the program. If that’s not the issue I’m faced with, then I have to deal with the whole episode stopping randomly and telling me I have to restart because of an error. I was so excited about this app, but I’m really just disappointed.
App is terrible and has waaay too many ads. A movie seems to load ok the first time you play but if you quit it's really hard to get it to open again, it just keeps buffering. At one point the audio was messed up when I was streaming the sound. I could hear audio from commercials overlaying the sound in the movie. Got it to stop by restarting. And then I had to keep restarting the app when it wouldnt buffer. And no way to exit unless you quit the app.
I do like the shows available, and I could even stand the amount of commercials if it wasn’t for the buggy video and missing features. If you switch out of the app, or your phone goes to sleep momentarily, the video will not play at all if you try pressing the play button again. Instead, you have to exit the show and scroll to find the episode you were on again, click it, and hope it works (because sometimes you’ll get a playback error). As for the features, there’s a rewind 10 seconds button but no skip 10 forward button. It’s incredibly annoying, especially since trying to track accurately on the video player is a nightmare, and there’s no Netflix-like feature where the show will auto-skip or provide the option to skip opening sequences/recaps that waste your time. I’d like to be able to at least skip 10 if I want to. One last thing to note, using this app on a smart TV shows the amount of commercials in a commercial break while this does not show up on mobile. It’s a smaller thing, but it does end up feeling like you’re sitting through endless commercials when you don’t have a number in the corner to keep track.
It's great when it works. But, the fact that it doesn't remember my TV Provider, even between episodes, is obnoxious. It remembers who I am, what I've watched, but, having to log in to that every 40 minutes is a problem. You'd think that they could fix that, but, nope. Not to mention that it sometimes crashes (more than twice as much as almost all my other apps combined). It's really annoying.
1. Doesn't work on Google devices, anytime you click on an item once opened it immediately closes the entire app. 2. The options upon closure are to close or send feedback, however the feedback selection doesn't work. 3. The list of cable providers which you must select from to use the app are randomly listed and there are hundreds of them so it takes forever to set up. 4. The watchlist feature does not work on app as in the app directions. (Was able to install on Amazon devices) 5. Once you have selected a movie there are a bunch of commercials which you can not fast forward through. 6. If you close the movie part way through it doesn't save it but rather you must start it from the beginning and while you can fast forward through the movie, you have to watch all the commercials again. 7. Fast forward and reverse if used frequently results in the movie stopping and you have to go through commercials again when you reopen in attempt to get back. 8. Review on this also just disappeared the first time I wrote it and I had to rewrite it from the start! This is without question the worst cable provider app I have ever used
If casting to TV don’t even bother with this app. It’s just nonstop commercials anytime you do anything. Even to rewind it’s another commercial! There’s no FF or rewind 10 or 30 seconds. Try to fast forward if you need to get back to your spot (because it won’t save your spot), ALL the commercials and then 10 seconds later another commercial! Forget trying to get closed captioning or even pause. Literally none of the controls work and sometimes you think you’re just watching a commercial but when it comes back it’s playing an entirely different movie! More frustration than its worth. What upsets me the most is no closed captioning. So people with hearing issues just don’t matter? Absolutely despicable. Shame on you for not fixing the problem. And stop asking people to tell you more about what they’re experiencing, just test it out yourself! You ARE the app developer. I’m not buying it that you don’t know these problems exist. I’m not the first one to comment. Just, shame on you.
Awful app, I only use it because it's the quickest way to watch new episodes from the shows I like. Has way too many ads (around 15 ads each 45 minute episode), crashes all of the time and says the show is unavailable (which results in me watching even more ads), and doesn't have that great of an interface. The app would be much better if there were less ads and it was more stable.
As a free user who doesn't have the money to pay for a cable service, this app is honestly terrible. It has been plagued with errors involving newer releases of shows where it is impossible to watch them, and when you CAN get it to work, the ads can stack up to 8 at a time (5 or more ad breaks for a 48 min episode) this app also doesn't have the most user friendly UI. I would willingly pay a small fee to have a better service, but cable is NOT affordable nowadays.
Downloaded this app on a smartTV in order to watch on a large screen, but the app glitches constantly. Several times, it either froze or started rewinding when I hit pause. The commercial breaks are randomly inserted, often cutting a person off mid sentence even if there was time for a break a minute later. Because of this, I've had to rewind to catch what a person said. But every time you rewind and hit a commercial break you have to watch it all over again, with no options to skip. 0/10
Played the shows just fine. But could not control it. No pause, rewind, fast forward at all. Never seen anything like it. Was very frustrating. Using pixel 8 Pro. Tried app again. Watching an episode and not knowing how far into the show, after a commercial it went back to the beginning. Last time I use this app. Sticking to peacock app it works .
I'm fine with paying for an app if there's content I enjoy on it. The sci-fi app has plenty of content I enjoy and, even as much as I'd happily pay to access it, that apparently isn't an option without paying out the rear for a ridiculously priced add-on on my Hulu account. That said, I can only express my disappointment in having to rid myself of this app and find other ways to watch the programs you seem happy to charge an arm and a leg to be able to watch.
Seems to be more of an ad watching app than anything. Watch an ad to start the episode you want to watch. 1 minute into show you watch 7 more ads. Its got to be close to an ad per minute of watch time. Insane amounts of ads. When your episode is very close to being over its another 6 ads and watch the last few minutes followed by more ads after the episode is already over. Then guess what?? More ads before the next episode starts. So 2 sets of ads back to back. 1 minute later 7 more.
If you use Chromecast, there's an NBC "Ready to Cast" banner along the bottom that won't go away. It's really distracting and makes it impossible to read subtitles. Every time I reopen the video window (say, to rewind), the video crashes altogether. When I try to reopen it, I end up at a random point in the episode. Theoretically, the option to watch without a TV subscription is great. But you only get 3 "credits," with no way to buy more. I have 7 or 8 streaming apps, this one is the worst.
