Half the time it won't let me log in with my password. I usually have to reset the password to get access and then without 24 hours I can't get in again. Once I'm in the app works as it should. Had good function from the app for a while but now I can't sign in with biometrics or resetting my password. Once in a while I can get in but I can't do anything else, it freezes and kicks me out. I am reinstalling app now to see if that helps
The app is somewhat buggy - I have biometric login enabled, and for some reason, once I've successfully logged in with my face, it suddenly stops the login process, then logs me in successfully again, forcing me to tap CONFIRM again. This isn't so bad, except once I go about my business within the app, the second login takes effect, causing me to lose whatever work I've begun and forcing me to start over. Strange. It's almost as if two sets of login data is encrypted on my phone.
It's a great option to have access to. I enjoy that part of Payactiv. The app itself can be very problematic. The glitches when trying to use fingerprint log in are very annoying. The switch back and forth between accessible wages and tips and mileage each time I log in. I never know which one it will show. Even when I opt out of tips and mileage. That needs to be fixed. The hours worked, not showing accurately at times. I end up missing out on accessing those wages. 2.5 out of 5 stars for now
Cannot log in per Google app has a "bug" I sent the email as the company suggested and it worked briefly. 4/5/25 it's doing same thing again trying to reach someone at support is impossible I was on hold for 35 mins and they hung up on me. I need access to pay my rent and can't get into the app. I'm considering using a different banking app after this
Terrible application! I wouldn't recommend this app to my worst enemy! What's the catch? I'll tell you what the catch is! Doesn't accurately record your earned wages for days at a time so that you end up having to take out smaller amounts rather than the whole amount for the wages you've earned. Each time you withdraw wages they charge you $1.99, so you end up paying out several service fees instead of just one fee. It's glitchy, inaccurate, a rip off & zero customer service. No Integrity!!!
I am unable to add funds to my account from an external account. The button is locked, and when I reach out to customer service, they have no idea what I'm talking about. The only way to add money now is to pay a fee at one of the stores that will load funds. Edit 03/01/2024 they now removed the option to add funds, but that was why I opened the account. It's been 4 months since they removed it, and no updates have fixed it. Edit 10/11/2024 they added the button back, but it's unusable.
Since this company forces you to use the app for just about anything, i have the misfortune of using it on a semi regular basis. It is easily the worst banking/financial services app on the planet. It should not be this hard to log on. My screen should not be buffering forever with the main login. The page "shouldn't fail to load properly" everytime i try a single sign on login. If your employer offers this and you are in a pinch, just ask them for an advance. It's way easier
Constantly has issues loading, always tells me "Oops! Cant find our companies!" but if you click try again the button just disappears and nothing happens. I have to close, reopen, and log back in to the app 3-4 times to get it to work every single time I use it. It will also tell me to try the app even when I'm using it...? After the 4th restart and login it does work fine, but your app doing what it's intended to do is the absolute bare minimum. And it hardly even does that. Payactiv sucks.
This app is glitchy and doesn't function well most of the time. Sometimes, you can transfer money payactiv into your account. Sometimes payactiv says funds are available when it's not, and the button to transfer money to the payactiv account never seems to work. It's always a gamble if the app is going to work for you or not. It's an app full of headaches.
I already wrote out a 500 word review and this app is such garbage Im writing a new one. had this app for a little over a month. this app creates giant problems out of nowhere and locks you totally out of the app! says the log in number youve used to login since day 1 is randomly wrong now and try again. not my password the log in name smfh. "tech" team does absolutely nothing and puts lies in reports like they reached out, never did. call the support # and just listen to crowded room apologize
If I could give negative stars, I would. it keeps saying my hours are updated, but my available amount is $0 because my "payroll is under review and I have to wait until the first day of the new pay period." well, the first day was 3 days ago and it's logged my hours, and Ive gotten paid, so what's the issue? I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, waited to log in daily to check that my pay updated, and it won't let me login on the app, It loops me back to the actual website. TERRIBLE APP!
I hate this app. It just never works. Logging in is impossible for no reason. It sometimes asks for your fingerprint while you're logged in already. Sometimes asks 5 times in a row. Sometimes it'll log you in, then log you back out because it scanned your fingerprint again. Sometimes it'll just load forever and won't log you in at all.
All of a sudden stopped logging me in. No help from "support" in the "chat" nor in feedback. I checked for updates, changed passwords, attempted all options on the UI and still unable to access my account. I finally uninstalled and even after reinstallation I still get the same never-ending reticle. edit: Saturday 08/02/25, New glitch! can't access funds when I'm really counting on this lousy app to deliver the goods. continuous 1 star rating.
the app hardly ever works properly and is extremely slow. I originally thought it was a network issue with my phone, but no, it's this app. I can log into the web portal and withdraw funds before I can even get the app to sign in with a finger print scan. Once I am in the app, it's very rare I can actually withdraw money. The button never works. it just blinks and nothing loads/changes, but if you log into the web portal, no issues. There is no reason to use the app honestly.
This app had worked fine for me for the longest time. Now every time I try to log in it shows me something that has nothing to do with my information. I have to exit and log back in multiple times to try to get it to work right. Hopefully they can get this back in proper working order. Edit: I have talked to customer support. Gave them that exact same info you listed and all I was told is that "The app is experiencing issues and you guys were working on it " I imagine I'd be told the same thing.
This app has only gotten worse over time! When I was first introduced to this app, I loved it! It was convenient and helpful when I needed something extra. But ever since this last update, it's gone downhill so fast! It takes me multiple times just to log in and even when I'm successful it still takes me EVEN more times just to access my earned wages and that's IF it'll even let me. I have to keep logging out then back in and still I'm unsuccessful! Whoever is running this app, DO BETTER!
Glitchy in ways that are completely unacceptable, both technically and morally, for an app that people often use in 0 emergencies. I have spoken to exactly one customer service rep who wasn't easily mistakeable for a chat script, and was finally told that my problem was a global technical issue after four days of trying to get into my account. If the issues I'm trying to solve were less serious, I could wait two more. As is, I really can't, but I still have to. App is worthless.
haven't been able to use since downloading. log in to link everything and am met with a "Welcome!" page, but that is covered by a loading screen that can't be canceled and doesn't ever go away. Their support number couldn't help me, and when I was told my call would be transferred, it only took me to the main menu where I then would've had to wait to speak to another representative. not worth the time or effort.
It always makes it hard for you to take out an advance. The app crashes right when you finalize the advance and then you can't do it again once it kicks you out. You will be unable to take out money until it unfreezes, which could be minutes or hours depending on how it feels. Once I am able to avoid this app, I will. It has way too many bugs, and when you need money the most is when it wants to crash. Can't wait until I can delete this B.S App.
Money went missing and all I'm being told is they're working on it. The issue is relatively simple and should be easily resolved over the phone or in the chat. No update on the ticket after calling support, just that they will call me and it could be up to 48hrs even though the chat support said it would be less than what they anticipated. First time and last time I'll contact support, they're useless. Edit: Don't bother copy and pasting the "email us" message, your support team is garbage.
