I have used this app for years, I first installed it in 2016. It makes meal planning so easy! I also use Paprika to catalog the recipes I want to try from my cookbook collection. I have fully customized my app to include categories for seasonal and ethnic dishes and well as entree/brunch/dessert, etc. * edit to add I have now been using Paprika for 10 years and still love it.
The paid version has been very helpful. I use to have recipes saved in Google, but this has made organizing recipes so much easier. I also like that I can edit the recipes to fit changes I make. I can also print them when I am ready for it to go into my recipe binder (my preferred way to have recipes). These are the main features I use as I like most things written by hand, but I utilize the meal planner and grocery list in a pinch. I am glad my sister recommended it to me.
I use this app to make my meal lists every week. Downloading recipes is so simple, and having your favorites at your fingertips instead of having to scroll through ads on a Pinterest page is a game-changer. The app pulls all the meals you have planned into a grocery list, so you never forget an ingredient. My favorite feat. is the notes, after I've made a recipe I write notes about how it was, it's right there in the instructions for next time. Love this app!
What an amazing system. Worth purchasing for android and pc. I've tried to reinvent how we maintain recipies for years and no system worked because of the effort it took to maintain but this is not only so quick and simple but it's incredibly adaptable. Use it - I wouldn't recommend anything else. It's also a one time purchase per type of device. No subscriptions!!
Best recipe app I've ever seen. I struggle with cooking but it's been incredibly helpful to pull the important info from online recipes so I can find what I need in the heat of the moment. I love using the groceries feature and planning meals for the future (and seeing the last time I made something too). When I first started using the app years ago, the UI seemed a little simplistic, so I expected bugs and other quirks. But the simplicity is where it shines, especially with no ads.
I have been using this app for years and love it for the ease of saving and finding recipes, as well as the ability to generate grocery lists, meal plans, and while cooking I love how easy it it to check of ingredients as I add them and instantly start timers preset for each recipe. I have it in all my devices and the sync automatically.
I cook/bake ~4 recipes a week and this app helps me keep everything in one place. I import recipes from blogs/ sites (NYT cooking too) and edit them with my preferences and notes after I make them. I use the grocery list feature every week, manually adding items that aren't from my recipes. I think I've convinced at least 4 others to download it and they all like it! even more fun to be able to share recipes now. give this a try!
Nearly everything I've wanted in a recipe app for years. Easy to use. Nice interface. I've been transferring over 400 recipes in various forms off of Evernote and it's been easy to import them, copy & paste transcriptions, search out and load them off of websites and blogs, and in some cases, dictate them using the microphone function on my phone (Pixel) I highly recommend this app. I only wish it were easy to have a friends or family function to share my entire recipe collection with my mom
This app is great, I love how you can download recipes from any website straight on the app so there isn't any weird copy and pasting. I intended on buying the full version but was waiting until the free version ran out of space, I was expecting maybe 10-20 recipes on the free version but it was closer to 45! I also love that you can create categories for your recipes, makes it easier to find if you have a lot of them. This app is definitely the only one I'll be using to save my recipes.
This app was recommended to me by a friend. I used the free version for a while until I wanted to add more recipes (the free version maxes out at 50). It is worth the upgrade! I love being able to find new recipes within the app, or paste a link to a recipe I found elsewhere and download it. I can take pictures of cookbook recipes and use Google Lens to capture text and transfer it to the app. Searching my saved recipes is easy and making grocery lists is a breeze!
I have ARFID caused by ADHD. I only eat certain foods and even those I get tired of and prefer to just not eat. Coming up with meals for the week used to be a nightmare for me and my husband. I used to save all my safe recipes in my bookmarks and make lists by going back and forth. I used to dread the effort it took and it made my ARFID worse. This app has made it easier to organize all of my safe recipes and make a grocery list. It's caused less issues between me and my husband. Thank you!
So far this is amazing. Automatic downloads with the ability to add my modifications for my food allergy substitutions or personal preferences. The only thing I'd change is to have the search "button" right after or below the search bar when you go into the browser/search setting instead of having the download "button" in that general area. edit: 8/12/25: Still very pleased! The ability to add my own mods in the edit function & have the orig recipes below my notes is great!!!
Good app, I lean on it quite a bit to keep track of my experiments in the kitchen. I do wish it was much easier to download a recipe into the app, because using the browser requires a few more clicks than I am usually interested in doing. Overall, it is a handy little app, recommend it to anyone looking to store their recipes.
My family really loves this app. We have been using it to meal plan and follow recipes for months now. It's changed the way we handle dinners (and even desserts)! I love being able to import/create recipes and edit them whenever I want. No other meal planning/recipe app compares. The only thing that makes me rate it slightly lower is that you have to pay if you want to use the desktop app, which would've made this a bit more convenient for me since I prefer to use my computer for most things.
I love, love, love, Paprika! Ever since I have started using it, I enjoy the chore of cooking and even can tolerate grocery shopping times more than I used to prior to using Paprika. The only issue I have with it is that the Android version doesn't have several helpful features that iPad version has, such as duplicating and easily moving items within the weekly menu. I have reached out to tech support about it, but haven't received any reply.
I don't normally write app reviews but this one is worth the time. For anyone trying to save recipes on social media this is the app to use. It auto-populates (if the recipe displays the texts) and you are able to categorize them as you'd like. It will also do this for pay-wall blocked URL's. This was worth paying for as you're able to sync your account through multiple devices (not OS's). The only thing I don't like is the app browser so I cut/paste the URL into it.
I have been searching for a replacement for Pepperplate since it no longer imports recipes, but I can't find an app whose UI is as sleek and pleasing to use. Paprika is ok but looks like it was designed by an amateur, with careless font choice and lack of alignment. The import, while a bit clunky (instead of going to the recipe when done stays on the site and makes you go search), does import even oddly formatted sites quite well. I prefer the look of RecipeSage, but their import barely works.
I have had this app for years and never had a problem until now. All of a sudden it won't load my recipe from browser into the app so I can download it like it should. I have to copy the url, paste it into a new recipe and then copy and paste everything into it. It's now very tedious as annoying. I thought the app night need an update but no update is available. I've reached out to app for Help and I've not heard back. very frustrating!
App is easy to use and has some great features but two big flaws. I like how easy it is to import from a web page. The recipe is transcribed well and looks good. The biggest problem is the scaling feature. It only scales the initial amounts in the ingredient list. It doesn't scale any notes or instructions. If the list says "1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp water (85g)" and you double the recipe, it now says "1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp water (85g)". It's worse in the instructions.
The app has worked beautifully for years with no complaints. Now all of a sudden the app no longer enables downloads of recipes from the web. I've tried syncing, updating, uninstalling and re-installing all to no avail. And most disappointing is that the developers offer no response or assistance. I see that there are others who have written of this same issue...with no response. Disappointing.
