Solid App, does as advertised. I went for the pro version...it was around $3...I could afford the loss if it was useless but it's definitely worth paying for the pro version. It has a plethora of tools, simple to use. It's not overcomplicated so you understand what most functions do and there's visual queues for most functions so you know what you're adding/deleting/writing/etc. In short, it's probably the only NFC read/write app you'll need.
Awesome NFC app! Pair it with NFC Tasks and Droid Automation Pro, and you've got an amazing solution for automation, right in your pocket. Grab a few compatible tags, and within minutes, you can have many common tasks fully automated and ready to go. By adding the free NFC Tasks app, more detailed automations like network commands and app shortcuts are available. My only request is for an easy way to transfer variables between NFC Tools and Droid Aumation, but everything else has been great!
It's good. A shame android makes so many security restrictions though...
Simple and clean app that handles all of my NFC needs! The PRO is definitely worth the few dollars
My number one NFC app on all my NFC supporting devices!! Good! Keep up the good work, we need the app!!
I got the pro version. I'm very with it. I wish it was possible to run NFC tag emulation with profiles, or with Tasker, so I could tap a shortcut icon to enable it, to share my VCard for a 30-60 second window of time. So ya... feature request: let Tasker have access to the NFC tag emulation, with emulation profiles, or let Tasker fill in the emulation tag data.
great little app for reading and writing to tags. I nearly never have problems reading and I love all the functions available.
Just installed, played for a few minutes - absolutely fantastic app. Very intuitive, easy to use, exactly what's needed to setup and manage NFC tags and profiles. Excellent!
great... haven't had any issues. I've been able to write, and even erase worth no issues. works well well canva, docs, and all curls I've used.
I use this in combination with Tasker to automate sooo many things on my phone. I made the kids little nfc badges to "swipe" if they want to use my phone which switches it to a timed kids profile. When I take my meds, I tap a tag I glued to the lid and it adds a time stamp to a Google sheet. So many uses.
I love messing around with NFC tags and this app made it very easy for me. I don't recall if the Wake on Lan was available in the free version or not, but thats my favorite command so far. I'm able to turn on my computer from any of the Tags I write the command on and I think it's super cool. I'll never hit the power button to turn it on again!
I was able to save info to my ring (ty you tube guy) that I got off wish. It took a minute to find the sweet spot on my phone (s10+ is a little up from bottom right). The interface is a lot easier to figure out than the one recommended in the paper that came with it, and asks for way less permission on my phone. Only suggestion I have is to make medical thing take a little less data off the top. I couldn't even fill out the fields at a minimum of call 5 letter hospital and have it go under 200.
I am absolutely loving this!!! The pro version is totally worth the money. I just discovered NFC tags are a thing a few days ago, and that my phone can use them. I'm a beginner hobbyist programmer, and with this app it's so simple to write nfc tags, that I could do it even without any programming skills. There is even an option to test the task before you write it to the tag! <3 the app doesn't glitch, either. I found my new favorite obsession. Thank you, devs!!
If you are new to NFC, there is a slight learning curve. However, this developer has done a really good job with all of their apps I have used. I am adding NFC to my smart home, I use some tags to just send POST requests thats control certain devices/automations. Once you get into the app and get familiar, it is pretty easy to do pretty much anything. If you cant do it directly through the app (due to google restrictions, not the app itself) you can easily integrate with other apps.
Sep 3, 2021 So happy that I found the Wi-fi function to toggle it on/off making this app more useful. The only thing missing is setting bluetooth volume level. Dec 9, 2018 I have been using this for a while now, with 3 NFC tags hanging from my keychain it is useful for me every day. Can't wait to see what other useful functions are built into this. Fantastic App!
Works perfect! After looking at several, this is the most polished/developed app for NFC tag writing. Sometimes you just need a physical button instead of pushing a thousand things do only one task. The app's Ul looks great, it's easy to use, and is compatible with the random NFC stickers that are all over Amazon. Also works with the NFC rings. There are tons of things you can do with this (you don't need to know any code). Also, the developer is super nice, and responded to my emails with questions.
I love this app, but I did find an annoying bug. The sleep task pauses not only the running task, but whatever application is running the foreground too. If I don't want the foreground application to become unresponsive during the sleep timer, I have to remember to go to the home screen first. This does not happen to every app, but does for most.
App works well. You could do about anything you need to do with the free version but it's nice to buy pro and support the devs. If you just wanted to play around with NFC's a little though keep that in mind and try free first. Wish they would work on the mimic NFC that is currently in beta. That would be pretty cool. And wish they would make some type of log that was easy or make the profiles easier to stack up. have 100 tags I want to log, as of now to do so have to make a profile for each.
It is not really worth getting this instead of the original app. but what makes this not a 0 star review is that this app can emulate the nfc chips and simulate the tasks. and it has some neat functions for geeks like root apps. but if you just got an nfc tag start off with the normal app and when you are one week in then get the pro version. And the devs are EPIC.
I purchased Pro. It is awesome. Developers, thank you very much and long live to you and to this software. Sadly, it has not everything that I needed. I am talking about task that can open a particular app (for example, Wake On Lan) and do it's integrated action as Samsung's "Modes and Routines" can. This is the main drawback of this program for me. And besides that, everything that I tried so far, worked well.
This app always writes information about itself to the tag consuming additional tag memory. I can understand that this may be done with the free version in order to nag the user and motivate her to buy the pro version. But the pro version should not write any unwanted additional data to the tag. Please remove this or make it optional. You wouldn't expect that a printer writes information about itself on every printed paper, would you?
Issue resolved, appears to be the chip. support was very forthcoming and helpful in the troubleshooting. Sadly, this device does not appear to be compatible with this mobile. Would be most helpful to indicate if the device has detected a chip, since the antennas are not clearly marked on all mobile devices and the user has no idea if there is a connection...
nice app with very limited ability to actually write anything but 6 basic contact card fields... pretty useless in that area. edit text record is one line tall window... really, folks, didn't anyone ever take a user interface programming course? for all the great learning and testing this app provides, it coul d be so much more user-friendly,
*BARELY* works like than the free version, I regret spending money on features that simply DO NOT WORK. Copy tag: not working Import records from tag: not working Erase tag: not working And, after a couple of reads, especially after tag profile actions, the app no longer reads tags, until it's restarted. The list can go on and on and on...
I mainly got this to use my phone as an amiibo, but it didn't work. It unfortunately never worked. Sometimes, it just says it's unreadable. when it does scan it straight up, it doesn't let you save on your phone. The app advertised using your phone instead of other chips, but it doesn't seem to work that way. It simply lets you have people get your number by tapping your phone.
