This is an amazing networking app. I mostly use it to check signal strength because at work, I had a low 5G signal, which was causing my phone's battery to drain extremely quickly. I figured out that 4G has much better reception, which saved my battery life. it's also great for seeing network coverage in your area.
Looking for an app to show me 5g cell mast locations and provide signal strength to various nearby masts. This app works well and now shows me what the phone is doing to keep best signal. On 2nd day of using the app, i do not see much neighbouring cell info, as what i seen on first day. A really useful app to show a tech head what he needs to see and learn. Well done NCI devs. Edited to add: Shows nearby cells that provide stronger signal, when you are on a weak signal. App is perfect!
Hi been using this app for a long time now,yes its a realy grate app, allways works well,..one qustion ,ive recenty slected 2g 4g auto connect as my 4g is verey weak, but the siginal gauge always showes max siginal strengh, even if the phone siginal shows weak,..any idears please,....no problem if 5g 2g 3g auto connect is selected.....paul,...still 5 stars,....ps ive e/maild you sevral weeks ago, but still no responce.....now 3 stars, still no responce now 2 stars, now 1 star.,wont bother anymoor
I'm an EE that designs wireless devices. This is super helpful for both WiFi and Cell connectivity. I currently have a remote Cell router hookup struggling to connect as the carrier has been upgrading to 5G. I also work on small/medium controller based WiFi deployments and this app is super helpful there as well. (The speed test needs a little work but I emailed already) .. but that's beta and I'm sure will be tuned up to working fabulously in no time. A great app for IT/Telecom devs/techs. Thanks!
Great app for checking your device's cellular voice and/or data connection; also WiFi. I'm on the go all day, every day so if I get to a place with weak or no signal, I can easily find another position closer to a tower to access the internet. The app may appear to be too technical for some but between the user manual, the FAQ and a little common sense, you'll quickly see the value. Note: The FAQ tells you what the acronyms stand for but not a detailed description of what exactly each is.
Of all the cell signal monitoring apps I've used, this is probably the most thorough one. Though the signal strength info in all the areas, on different networks is not thorough. And the cell tower locations are not as accurate, necessarily. It is still the most thorough, and easy to use, signal monitoring app I've used.
In so far as all the network analyzers on the Google Pay store goes, this one delivers the most bang for the buck, so to speak. Analyzer, speed tester, cell locator, plus a bunch of other technical data I can't decipher (yet), but this app delivers all you'll ever need (and probably more) to know about network analysis. For me, the features alone, despite the misgivings of some as to whether they work as advertised, is worth the bump to the pro version. Recommended.
I got it for just 3 dollars and it's well worth that just for it's ability to really find where you can get the best signal. I loved that they had a free demo to check it out first so just grab it and try it for yourself. Make sure you don't leave it accidentally running in the background or it will eat up your charge. Samsung A42 5g Program runs well with no problems just lots of interesting data.

Overall, this app gets 4 stars as it has tons of info and many tailor able settings. I've used it for several years, but it is lacking compared to its alternatives in the 5G department. It does not have the ability (that I've found) to show when you are on 5G NR stand alone, only LTE+. Built in phone signal will show 5G, plenty of bars, but the app only shows nothing but data and voice being available. No signal strength shown. Please update to show 5G stand alone/signal strength.
The app is very close to being great. When in gauges view and I hit a gauge it turns on a red dot, that I have no idea what it means. I do not know what network settings can be controlled from the app. The Map often does not show the tower locations, however I do not know why or how to fix. I wish I could long press a gauge to copy its MCC, MNC, TAC, and ECI.
Very useful app, but a recent update wrecked it. Now I need to start it two times every time, because on the first start, it doesn't recognize the mobile connection. The tower locations on the map are not very accurate, I see displacements of up to one kilometer. Sometimes a tower 200km away is reported, which is technically impossible.
It helps me find cell towers and know what performance to expect from a location. It is good at what it's supposed to do. However, you have to specifically configure it to not be annoying. It has useless notifications and (unless you turn it off) nags you for background permission. I don't want this chewing up my battery when I'm not looking for a tower. And it nags you to rate it. So it's a good app, but it should be not annoying by default.
Used to work well, but not longer shows the cell tower. Now it always says "cell location not found". Not good enough!
Map doesn't seem to find cell towers at all. The signal meter works well.
Just a Confusing mess. Im looking at the cell information map but getting no useful information. The app is collecting cell data all day but doesn't even show which tower I'm even connected too. Only thing I found useful was the signal level meter but even that isn't showing me my 5G connections only LTE info. Then an pop up, you cannot close blocks the bottom third of the screen trying to get me to click on an cell news article I'm sure leads to an ad.
Map tab stopped being able to find the cell tower location ages ago. That was the only reason I bought the paid version in the first place. Tried many locations with different towers.
No apparent difference between this and the Lite version. Since the latest update, constant "has stopped" toasts. And I know this kind of app has to have access in the background, but with the phone rarely leaving the same two rooms, 18MB/week feels excessive. Seems (not 100% sure) to eat battery, too. I only wanted to see how signal varies when I go for a walk or upstairs, but as a techy-minded layperson, I don't find this app's info or widget informative. industry reports not for me. Overall👎
4g available on my phone, but this app will never recognize any network and therefore will not perform any functions. It will only loop on "initializing". Luckily, I only Wasted $2 since I can't find a way to get refunded.
THIS APP USED TO SHOW TOWER LOCATIONS AND SHOW STINGRAY INTERCEPTS. NOT ANY MORE. FURTHER THIS NOW USELESS APP SPYS ON YOU REPORTING YOUR LOCATION AND IDENTIFIERS TO UNKNOWN THIRD PARTYS. IT DRAINS AND MAKES YOUR PHONE BATTERY GASSY AND PUFFED UP DESTROYING YOUR PHONE. UNINSTALL THIS SPYWARE IMMEDIATELY
