I remember when HBO would list several great shows/movies and brand new ones as well. Now when I log in, I can barely find anything worth watching. And when I do, the ads, man😒. Sitting there like, "huh, it just came back onnn!" & realized there are ad blocks ever 5mins! They're commercials at that. 3 ads each with the majority of them being a minute long. I absolutely despise this app. At this point, I only have it because it's a $10 bundle with Netflix. Glad I've multiple streaming platforms
Having the same problem as in other reviews, where the app keeps crashing, the screen goes black, the audio goes in and out, and it buffers constantly. Maybe consider fixing the app when enough people are having the same issues instead of leaving "troubleshooting tips" under each review and just blaming it on the consumer? The app has always had some kind of problem as long as I've used it.
This is the worst app ever. It takes forever to load and when it does finally load it immediately crashes whenever I click on the downloads tab. And speaking of downloads, what is the point of having that feature if I cannot access the app on airplane mode or without wifi? It's terribly buggy as well. As soon as I click the search bar and enter something, it doesn't actually work and I have re-enter multiple times. Worst streaming app ever!
This is not good for live sports, it's watchable for recorded things. The customer support, though? Now that's a joke. All they'll say is "your internet connection must be slow, good luck." But every other streaming service on the planet comes through perfectly, especially for live sports. HBO is the exception. It lags, is choppy, and just unwatchable. I don't see this as the fault of my gigspeed connection--it's WBD's inability to deliver a reliable product and support it with real solutons.
This streaming service is just not up to the task of streaming live sports. If you are thinking of subscribing for the NCAA tournament - don't. It seems to be able to detect the end of a close game and then dying. Edit 1: thanks, i'm not up for an hour chat with tech support. Surely you can see the codes from the black box errors that pop up and you can see the disconnects and hang. When you diagnose on your end you can let me know.
