Not sure why all the poor reviews recently, seems to work fine for me. Obviously some stations will have better reception than others (as it depends on the incoming radio feed reception), but overall it's working great. Love that I can Chromecast the stream from this app. More than happy to pay $4 for this app to support the service, nothing else like it out there. Thanks for your work!

Solution for other users: For those of you having issues with the app still running in the background after closing it, try this: Hit the pause audio before closing the app. This will shut the app down completely without having to force stop the app. If you don't hit the pause button, the audio will continue in the background. I hope this helps everyone with this issue.

Exactly what I wanted. A reliable app for listening to air traffic in, out, and around Tulsa International. It is configurable to pause when switching apps or continue to play if out of the app. Works perfectly. I use it with the Plane Finder radar, so I know the transmissions are live and real time. It's worth every penny.

I cant go outside without looking up at a plane with that urge to know where its going or coming from and thinking how cool it is knowing that the voice i hear of the pilot (or FO) is coming from that blinking light shooting accross the sky at that very moment. FYI i use Flight tracker radar app together with LIVEATC to get call signs and all other info.

Sometimes there is so much static you cannot here the frequencies. That, I know is not the app's fault. Question / Request to the App Developer: Could you bring back KOPF (Opa Locka, FL)? It was there when I first purchased the app, now I've noticed it is no longer as a selection. Thank you. Stay safe and have a great day.

When I was learning to fly a struggle a bit with communications and talking on the radio, and my instructor point to me into this app which let you listen into pilots and controllers talking to each other at airports both small and big. I got to practice listening to read backs and then see whether I could catch all the information. It's amazing to be able to pull up radio calls from airports all around the country and be able to listen to what radio comes sound like when the weathers good when the weathers bad on a busy day, during a major air show, and it's all as close as my phone.

It’s strange how many 1-star reviews criticize either the availability of a particular field or the quality of the reception. Do they realize the feeds are crowd sourced? One guy complained about paying $4 for the app. Well, this app is worth every penny of $4 for those interested in aviation like me. If you want a field added, then go buy a scanner and hook it up. If you’re dependent on this app for a critical operational function that is broken when the feed goes down, then you’re insane, buy a VHF radio. In the meantime, try to accomplish 5% of what this app does for $4 and I’ll applaud you cheapskates with both hands.

This app is great as it is one of the few if not the only app that allows you to listen to live ATC throughout the country and the world. One feature I would like to see added is to allow the app user to input the frequency changes when tracking a specific flight as well as creating a log of those frequency changes and the option to save them so the user will have the most recent and updated frequencies if they have changed.

As a former Air Traffic Controller it is calming to sit on my deck and listen to places with which I am familiar and reminisce.

Been using this app for years now and love it. There's only a persistent issue i wish could be fixed. The stream will pause or stop when the phone locks, after a few minutes, (this is really annoying). Also Gdansk and Reszow are always down.

Great app with a lot of potential! One feature I'd like to see added is the ability to set a delay in the broadcast. I use this with MSFS/PCXT, and it would be great to be able to synchronize it with the audio playback. As is the audio is usually ahead by about 20-30 seconds.

I was wary when downloading this considering there were many mixed reviews about it. So far most of it has been great Some of the frequencies can be very static and sometimes can't hear actual ATC but some of them are perfect It all just depends on what frequency you're on. Also it would be nice up with some more airports as there are limited. Overall though it is a very good app and I love the extra diagrams it comes with, haven't actually gone on radar to check if there is any delaybutseem👌

Fairly decent interface, but it does have some annoyances I'd like to see smoothed out. It asks for location permissions every time I change the airport because it wants to show me nearby airports. I don't want that feature and I can't turn it off, so I have to dismiss two different popups each time. It's not easy to understand exactly which airspace the ATC sectors cover, so tracking a flight through different areas is difficult. I don't really even know where to go for that information.

Nice navigation with lots of features. You can enable background playing through the settings, but it requires giving additional permissions to the app. My only disappointment is that I can't select multiple channels at the same time (i.e. Approach & departure or multiple runways at the same airport). As a companion to Flightaware or FlightRadar 24, it works great to hear what's driving the contrails nearby!

Very useful to find out firsthand what’s happening in preparation for travel. And with more and more gate to gate satellite-based inflight Wi-Fi you can follow your flight throughout. That said - please consider the following: 1) Please list the frequencies a station is covering as per of the table cell when opening to select a feed (favorites, change channel, or directory). When listening to the feed there is a list. This doesn’t need the description- just a comma separated list of frequencies. 2) Would be great to have more than airport diagram linked, but also departure/arrival/approach plates. 3)This one is tougher and not sure it’s possible. But would love to be able to enter a flight number and find what channel the flight is on. 4) In the feed frequency page, it would be great to know if feeds are mixed, or if a stereo split then which feed is in which ear. This probably means a bigger change but it would be helpful. Thanks for a great app and thanks to everyone who provides feeds to the system.

Difficult to hear unless you're listening ti major airports, it seems. As other people mentioned, after my phone locks LiveATC will continue to play for a minute or two but then stops. Soon as I unlock the phone it starts up again. Otherwise good app.

Live ATC App! Especially for Spotters to follow ATC almost around the World. Some Countrys are not available what is a metter to their Laws. Apart from the fact that some Standard Radio Channels are sometimes more or less Reachable, and the Quality may vary, especially the clearness in Voice, surely is also, but not only, a metter of the Station. Unfortunately, in my case for Example, this App is only Semi-Useful, cuz in Germany Listen to German-ATC Stations as an Non-Pilot is Prohibited! 3x ⭐️

Good app with some exceptions that keeping it from earning 4 or 5 stars. App won't continue streaming in the background. Phone screen must be tuned on and app must be on top. Makes you open your phone and hit play again to restart stream. Needs an update.

It's a bit hard to get the audio to start. A lot of times it just spins like it is trying to load, then never does. The audio is also incredibly quiet compared to other sounds. I hope they can fix these two items. One potential feature request that would be nice would be to visually indicate which frequency and channel name was being played on the screen.

It just seems like this app does not have a lot of user-friendly support where you can make complaints on certain feeds for example I listen to the Oakland international airport feed and I am bombarded with ATS automated terminal service I believe constant information they used to have a separate Channel for the main tower that is off-line now and they do not give an exclamation why it’s off-line and enough information to users to find out if that particular feet can be replaced it’s like it’s there one day and gone the next and no reason is given no updates or anything like that on any of these scanner type police radio apps or airport apps that’s just not right and unfortunate to the developer can you please put in some more helpful support so users can get in contact with the feed providers and if they are not up to par find someone else who can do the main towers for Oakland international airport sorry I’m so picky about this but it just seems unnecessary to listen to the automated terminal information stuff when you want to listen to the main runway and tower and the seeds do not sound the same 1 feet is stronger than the other was two speakers thank you

When I first got this app, it worked very well. Over the last couple of months, however, connection to the ATC facilities that I choose is hit and miss, even though they show as"UP". All the other apps I have work fine, so my internet connection isn't the problem.

Not bad, but bugs prevent it from being great. The "pause" button only works about half the time. I suspect it doesn't have any garuanteed delivery. And if you force-kill the app, the audio will continue regardless. I typically restart my phone to get it to stop.

Last update totally broke the app. If I turn my screen off, the app stops. If I navigate to another app, LiveATC stops. I have to constantly click the play button to restart the stream. It used to be the exact opposite: even closing the app wouldn't stop the stream. I had to force stop it in the phone settings. Please find a middle ground, so that I can listen to the stream with the phone screen off or if I’m looking at another app, but also stop the stream when the app is actually closed.

I love this app, but lately I keep getting error or pending anytime I try to listen to a stream. Also lately it doesn't work well when turning on my phone's VPN.

Won't let me enter frequencies directly despite saying that in the search field. Won't show some airports and frequencies (PHLI). Edit: The latest UI doesn't let you go back to the full list of airport frequencies. This makes it impossible to quickly switch between ground and tower frequencies. Hating the new UI.
