I initially had connection issues with this camera management app, but I think most (if not all) of the bugs have been worked out. Functionality is a bit basic, but enough. It is a fairly intuitive and user friendly interface. This app can run in the background, as well. When using split screen (on most new Android devices), you are able to continuously monitor your camera feed while going about your business doing whatever else on your phone.
I couldn't do 4 and a half stars. The only two things I can even think of that could be improved is 1- the ability to zoom in even just a little and 2- making it easier to share the camera access with another person. I am pretty tech savvy but sharing with my husband has not worked. We now just take turns and log into the one account. 'Edit' Thank you. It has the ability to zoom in well now. I love the equipment and the video's.
There needs to be an option for 24/7 recording! I got an SD Card to actually check through footage instead of just video clips! The motion sensor for clips isn't sensitive enough in the right way. It doesn't record clips for people walking by, but records clips of shadows from trees.. And then the Alexa is linked but it won't load anything. It says "Problem with this Skill"
Better than most other apps that are for cameras bought on Amazon this is hands down the most features and best quality then probably 5 or 6 other cameras apps I've used in the past so bought on Amazon. Note to devs: wish it had was an alert option when someone was in the range of the camera for longer then 3 minutes to record them or an option with the alert notification to press - start recording (without having to open the app). Alarm rcvd (displays thumbnail) start recording?
Works great except for when it doesn't. Sometimes the camera behaves strangely, it will turn as if it's tracking motion but there is nothing there and no alert. So I don't know what is going on with it. I have humanoid turned on so it should only be tracking people but it's just randomly turning and staying turned for a while. It will eventually return to its set position but not until it wants to. Because of this I have two choices, turn off tracking and have it just stay still and miss most of
I love my Mubview camera and doorbell system. Setting them up and adding them to the app is a simple process. Work great and price is acceptable. Using an SD card is perfect for those of us that don't want to pay for a subscription. If I need to save any events I simply download them to my phone and have them for future reference. The options for siren and strobe light at night are wonderful. I scare off unwanted animals in my yard with them. Use cloud edge app not Mubview.
This app has been easy to use so far. I have three wireless cameras running on it currently. I added SD cards and it all works flawlessly. I am giving the app 3 stars. I would up it to 5 stars if they would add scheduling to the notifications or an easy ARM/DISARM function for notifications. I don't need to receive notifications throughout the day when my wife, kids, or dogs are walking through the yard or are on the porch. It would be great if i could schedule it to send notifications overnight only or a single, easy to access button to activate/deactivate notifications across all devices for when we all leave the house.
Works. But I got a new phone. Didnt have cloud storage at the time and my saved videos of thieves breaking in are gone. My other phone broke so couldn't access the video footage on my other phone. And I thought if you get a new phone, the videos would still be there. I know for next time. But I need those videos back. Another issue I have, the app freezes all the time. Can't access it most of the time. It's not the app, it's there servers
This app has some really great functionality as compared to some of the more popular similar apps on the market. I use it for a doorbell that I purchased. The clarity is pretty good and again there are a lot of options but the big issue I have with this app is that it doesn't matter how I tweak the alarm settings, I get a ton of 0 positives. Every time a limb blows, I get an alert. And, there's no quick way to temporarily silence alerts.
Works fine on the phone. Too many notifications. Absolutely does not work with Alexa. Was really hoping to connect these cameras with my Alexa devices. The skill is there, but it does not work. The notification options are not good, and somewhat confusing. Need an option to temporarily snooze when you know there will be people in front of the camera. Could be much better.
Won't load after last update. I REALLY need this camera due to dealing with theft of ANIMALS and it won't even load now!! Then when it does, it only stays on for about 3 seconds and it's super bright. Like white bright. I've cleared the cache and have a very strong WiFi signal (high speed) We pay for the highest speed!! What else can I do to get it to work again PLEASE!!!
Nice app for my camera & door bell, the video stream is very clear. The human detection is awful though, it really doesn't work at all. I get alerts all the time for shadows, birds, the bush across the street, and my flag. I had to turn off detection all together, which is disappointing. I'm afraid to even try the AI after reading other reviews, plus I'm tired of paying for something, then being forced to continue paying for it if I want it to function even close to properly.
I have bought 6 solar powered cameras. They worked under sun, rain, snow.. However, they don't work at all when wifi is out. No video events were saved unless wifi is on. That's a critical missing feature. Please update your software to record video regardless of wifi. That's what a SD card was for! I will change my review to 5 stars once this feature is implemented. Thank you.
This software for video monitoring is the worst security software! Issues: It doesn't work or show anyone on camera yet detects something on camera; live feed is slow or doesn't pickup at all; it doesn't show any footage after notification of issues. It is just garbage, and it makes the doorbell camera XTUBELL an obsolete piece of junk! I would avoid any video security equipment that comes with this software!
Laggy, barely connects unless you have a really high speed internet connection (above 300mbps). Even then it doesn't track motion, only moves from the app, doesn't respond to people walking up to the door, and the speaker inside the camera isn't clear to the person who is on the ground. Anyone want to buy it? I'll sell it for the whatever the shipping fee is, and a dollar for my time.
New update has RUINED the app. Cant leave display open anymore to view whenever you want. Only stays open a little while now, then closes if you don't respond to a prompt. Time to look for a different camera setup after all these years. I guess I'll throw away all the cameras I've bought and haven't even used yet. I can't believe they did this.
when having issues there is no one to talk to. I've tried contacting someone through the app and no one is ever available for a live chat. Tried sending an email and it's been a week and no response. Don't spend money in the app.!!! You will never get to speak to someone but I'm sure they will take your money. I'm looking into better options. Don't waste your time. This is zero stars imo.
I've been waiting on a response from customer service for over a year about a small issue. Now I'm having problems with it saying not connected to network but under settings it shows it has an excellent signal to my network which is working just fine. It has been working but just stopped for some dumb reason. WHERE CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!?????
Shows poor connection on the wifi icon when the signal quality reads 85+%. Even if I bring it inside and 25ft from router. Im not sure what's wrong with the signal, if the camera is going, or if the app update is faulty. The auto detection also does not stay on and notifications do not come in at a timely manner. I have to keep turning auto detection on and off to get it to go, then it stops again. Something is wrong.
Worthless. Just like the cameras associated with it. Can't install on a PC. Can't install on a TV. The off chance it feels like working on your phone, there will be a long delay for the feed and then cumbersome to find any stored footage IF it felt like working at that moment in time. Joke for security devices to be so unreliable and limited in platform accessibility.
