One of the best Ace Attorney games in the series, and seriously deserves more attention than it gets. DONT SKIP THIS ONE, just because it's a side game/"spin-off". However, you may want to have played the Original Trilogy before playing this game, as some of the characters and callbacks will mean a lot more to someone who has experienced those games.
This is one of my favourite games in the series. There are no direct spoilers for any of the other games (there are indirect spoilers about Edgeworth's backstory through, but that's to be expected), so you can play it without knowledge of the previous games, though you would miss some references to them. This is a port with remastered graphics from the DS version. You need an internet connection to start this game, but after opening it you can disable it and play normally.
I bought this in support of a possible Investigations collection! I've played this game on Nintendo DS before and from what I've played here so far I can say that the gameplay transitioned well into this mobile version. Everything looks very good and I hope Capcom will use the latest collection; the Apollo Justice Trilogy, and this mobile port as a basis for the next collection in the series. Let's see that Investigations collection finally come to fruition!
OMG I LOVE IT!! It's better to play the first trilogy since there's some character that you might recognize and familiar with. Even tho it's a spin-off, it's really a nice follow-up having Edgeworth as the main protagonist here~ i hope the 2nd game will release in app soon or better yet both games at steam (this i will definitely buy in a heart-beat) So in conclusion: Play the game 😎
Another great game in the Ace Attorney franchise. I applaud all who were involved in the production of the game and those who ported it to Android. Nothing would please me more than seeing an English translation of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 ported to Android as well. It is the only game in the franchise I have yet to play.
In the middle of Turnabout Airlines, I opened up the game again and it updated for some reason, then when it loaded my data was gone. Any explanations for this? Otherwise, this is an amazing game, regardless of what the PWAA fandom thinks-
Super fun game, greatly recommend. Only two issues: 1) it's often difficult to know specifically which piece of evidence to prove your point. (example: you need to look at a statue and deduce with a photo. However, you can look at the statue directly, or by looking at something else, with the statue still well in frame. If you do the latter, it does not work.) 2) ohmygod the final boss fight is so long. It's a pain. Still super interesting, definitely worth the money.
Love the game, I am obsessed with Playing it! The events really make you think, the charatcer design is great, the mechanics are perfect, I could go on and on. Add in more Chapters and make it offline then thats a 5 Star! Love it!!! <3
A good mobile port of the game. I had no issues playing AAI on my Google Pixel 3a. I did run into a minor issue in-game for Case 4 which necessitated switching the controls from touch to d-pad due to an inability to leave the courtroom itself. (May want to adjust the "exit" point.) I also liked that the only way to advance the dialogue in conversations was to interact with the arrow, preventing accidental skipping because of mishaps (unlike AJ:AA). STILL REQUIRES INTERNET CONNECTION, THOUGH.
Great game. I haven't experienced any issues throughout the whole game, but others apparently experienced some game-breaking bugs such as characters disappearing. Overall, it's a very fun time and it beats the DS version.
Awesome port, but dear GOD... the typos and errors using homonyms... This existed in the AA Trilogy on PC as well. In AA: T&T they spelled "brooch" as "broach" because that's how it's pronounced, and in this game, "make do" becomes "make due". This is a pet peeve of mine, but especially given these lines are coming from Miles Edgeworth, the grammar snob, makes it even more irritating.
It's a good game in general but it's very buggy. Often the characters will disappear completely, although saving the game and reloading it will fix this issue. Sometimes the screen/background will go black except for the text and option boxes will disappear, and whole you can still save your game you need to completely close the app in order to get it to work again. While it's relatively easy to solve these problems, the frequency of them gets very annoying quickly.
To be clear, I DO like this game; I bought it when it came out for Nintendo DS. But I just tested this version on airplane mode and I confirmed the following: If you don't have an internet or mobile connection (for instance, you're in a dead zone), you can't play this game. If you got the DS version, good for you. Don't spend your money on the android version until it becomes standalone; better to search eBay for the DS version.
I have already played this game on another system. At first, I was really happy that they converted it to the phone, but honestly the game is so buggy. The game freezes constantly and icons will disappear and in certain scenes the characters will disappear. It has become unplayable and I really want a refund which is seriously sad because I love this series. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game a crapload of times. I have tried repeatedly to play it and reload it but it doesn't work.
The game is as good as the original ; however, it requires a connection to the to the internet to even start. Why would you ever want to do such thing? My guess would be to earn a one ster review. I can't give a good rating to a single player game thst requires me to connect to the internet before I can access the content I've paid for.
I love the game absolutely brilliant my only problem and is stop me playing as it somehow being an online only game (even though is a single player game and I've already paid for it) and at the moment I don't have Internet in the house and am a bit skint I can't play any of the games I bought in the series, very disappointed.
