Works fine for me, have made many purchases at this point. Still works great after 3 years. 5 year+ review: still works great for me. I do miss being able to use credit cards as a payment method however...that was really handy. Over 5 years I have grown from something like 200-400 credit to something like 1100 how. It's a good app. Works good for me. Wish it remembered the sites you visit when typing in a URL.
I love zip!!!!! it has helped so much when In a jam. I usually use it just for groceries or household items we need and don't have all the funds for right away!!!! I've had issues with the store not having what I wanted and zip does refund your money back. and the customer service is great. I've been using zip for over 6 months and I'm very happy with them!!!!!
Zip is the most powerful way to help in times of need!!! When you're not quite able to make a full payment on certain bills & you need a little leeway until you can get your finances back up on track, then Zip is the place to go!💯 You can split payments into 4 payments or 8 payments! Even after successful payment history with Zip, your spending 💰 increases! Just make sure you make your payments on time...you can pay off a specific order or make more payments on a specific order thru the app👍
GREAT, App! I have now been using it for over 2 years & it is very convenient when you are being inconvenienced at the moment. The best thing about it is your payments are low, very manageable, automatically taken out of your account with advance notices, and your limit increases so fast that you do not even realize it until you decide to use your card again. Superb!!!!
started using this app YEARS back to buy video games and Magic cards, even though I had all the money available. I've made some pretty significant purchases out of need, though, and this app has always been amazing. had to buy groceries more than once last winter (after spending cash for firewood). I recommend this to anyone, just be responsible and don't get in over your head.
Easy, helpful, and all-around great app. Purchase items almost anywhere on anything. Plus, it is the convenience of a payment plan. Update: I am still using app 2/6/24 and still having a blast buying. Plus, I received an extra 25.00 for paying 5 orders on time. Still going with Zip! I'm up to 1,000 7/24/25. If you don't have the app, download it, you won't be sorry.
This is a wonderful app to use if you want/need something, and you don't have enough money, and/or don't own any credit cards/have terrible credit/no credit. However, I knocked a star off bc of the fee they charge to use this. The larger amount they help you pay, the more the fee increases. Where there's other pay in 4 apps (PayPal, Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm) that don't charge a fee & if they do, it's only a $1 or so. For that reason, I always tend to use this 1 as a last resort. 🤷🏼♀️
Giving it 4 stars, because the payments are everywhere, and cumbersome to use the old way was better. Now you have to hunt for the right payment or accidentally pay the wrong one. It wasn't broken, but made worse. Absolutely no complaints, I don't mind the fee & everything is usually paid weekly even though the biweekly is fine. I haven't used my credit cards since last August. Spending power is reasonable it's enough to leverage. And the increases are considerate as well. *( 6 month review )
Though I enjoy this buy now pay later app much more than others like Klarna, I think they should have a grace period, I have a pretty high rate of paying on time and almost never missing a payment. My record is spot less. Yet, the one time I need like 2 more days until I get paid, suddenly I'm hit with fees and my account is frozen.. so no this app doesn't have a loyalty program.
It worked until it didn't. I used this app religiously and it gets me out of complicated situations at times but 1 day I try to use Then it declined. Saying I'm not authorized to make any purchases. Though I have a large credit limit. Because I have paid everything on time. At that time I did reschedule one payment. They told me that because I had rescheduled. I couldn't borrow. Well, I've paid everything off.I've even contacted support and yet.It's been almost a month Still cannot use it
I like Zip better than Afterpay. Edit: While this is still 0, their verification process using a State ID to change ANYTHING in your details (like your phone number), sucks! I do not have access to my account anymore because their camera feature won't take a clear picture of my ID, nor scan the barcode in the back, resulting in the process being rejected EVERY TIME. I tested my camera app to see if that was the problem but it focuses perfectly when I take a picture of my ID. CS is no help.
I've used zip for about 5 years and this recent update to the payment screen is absolutely horrible. just a messy list of payments for active orders? Then you check the active orders and it's just a bunch of text that looks out of place and confusing. It was fine the way it was to show active orders and then you press pay and you can see that orders payments and the other orders much like the list that's now in your face when you check. Definitely hope to see this changed. Otherwise awesome app!
This used to be a solid 4, but after some time, their systems started failing and causing issues for customers due to it being "full automated" with no check systems. It would mark customers as past due (me 2 months past due) which would strip them of their benefits for no missed or late payments, including the pay in 8 feature that seperated them from the other apps. It isn't worth it anymore, but I still use them due to how long I used them before things went sour.
After 3 purchases, my account had to go through some verification process, so I did that, but that message never went away, so I talked to support who said "the issue will be fixed asap." More than a month later, I still don't have access to using my account. So there are poor automated security methods they use, and their support is not good either.
does what it's supposed to until it doesn't. Recently I've had a lot more issues with this service than ever before. in store declines the ZIP card but Zip still charges my card and the 3-5 business day holds can definitely last upward 2 weeks. on apps, it declines purchases, then still proceeds to charge you, because to ZIP you made the purchase. Even if you show them proof it declined. Not worth it anymore in my experience. Sad for them.
Great until they took away my access. I've used the app for a lot of purchases that I could break up into, which really helps when income issues occur. A few weeks back, a purchase went through the App, but not on the Merchant's side. I reached out and Zip said it will take 13 days!!! I thought that was a strange timeline. I reached out to my Bank, they issued a chargeback. Once that occurred, Zip pulled my access. I was a great customer too, so I cancelled the chargeback, still no access
Horrible app. Customer service is not helpful and sucks. Whenever I try to add the zip card to my order, it kept giving me an error. Chatted and called support and they weren't even willing to help. Everything has to be escalated. One person told me that I made a purchase and now my account on hold. How did I make a purchase when I couldn't even add the zip card to instacart or Walmart. they said it will resolve in 24 hours. this has been an ongoing issue for 2 weeks ago.
I used the app weekly for everything for about 2 years now till a few weeks ago. Got locked out and was told they would fix login. Support keeps asking if I change phone number or email and I keep telling them everything is the same. Support doesn't seem to know what they are doing and you can't speak with any on phone everything is email. Was a good app I'll miss it.
When it works, it's nice to be able to break up larger purchases. Just dont get carried away with it. You can get yourself into a bad situation pretty easily if not careful. recently, the app never works. If you contact support, they run you through basic troubleshooting but never have any answer or real solutions to the problem. App freezes up when clicking checkout with no errors. No, nothing just freezes up and has to be restarted
Was fantastic until my bank decided to randomly dispute a charge without my knowledge, which caused Zip to lock my account even though there were no prior or further problems with payments. After months of trying to get it resolved, I was told by support that there's nothing they could do. Totally ridiculous that something out of my control that I didn't even KNOW about until it was too late is the reason I can no longer use it. Edit: Devs responded telling me to try the app again. I CAN'T 😂
