This is a great app; it's been solid and reliable for the couple of years I've used it. I've only used it to archive photo files (unlike other methods, zipping files preserves their modification times). My only complaint is that, if you want to open a folder, you have to tap on it very lightly and quickly... otherwise the app assumes that you want to archive the folder. It would be nice to have a setting that lets you control how long a tap must be before the folder is archived.
This is by far the best file explorer app. I love using it because of how simple and easy it is to use. However, since the Android 13 update, I can't access the files in the data folder. I can open the data folder just fine but not the contents, such as games data. Recently, I tried downloading mods on GTA San Andreas since I was pretty bored, but it didn't work. Because of restrictions. So I hope the devs can somehow bypass this. I watched countless tutorials on YT and none of them works.
The best file compression phone app I've found in terms of its overall functionality, UI and value (being that it's free without ads, with minor nonessential features unlocked for only a couple of dollars). Apps like this are becoming rarer, especially on the Play Store. What I like about this the most is the advanced niche compression options, that many standard desktop file compression apps don't have. It's especially useful if you have a rooted device and need said features to tinker.
Very helpful app for managing files. I'm struggling to find a better app on PC for extracting tar files. Also the interface is comfortable to use. But I wish there was a option for displaying sizes of folders and option to sort the folders based on their sizes. It would be helpful when you are running out of memory and want to find out what's consuming it.
This app is very good for various types of encryptions set. Very easy to use. It supports almost all types of file formats i ever know. It's way better than other ordinary file manager app. One problem i noticed yet is, this app does not support USB drive and inserted SD card togather. If i connect the USB to the phone, it doesn't show the SD card. It only shows internal storage and usb. And while not usb is there, it shows internal storage and SD card. Developers please fix this problem.
Great! It took me a moment to understand that, to compress multiple files, you don't just long-tap them to select them (the usual way), but that you must first open the menu and tap "Multi-select" (maybe an example of developers thinking they must "reinvent the wheel?"). But the rest of the app is very well designed and easy to use. Well done!

the only file manager / zip folder compressor,extractor I've ever had to use. Im constantly having to work with 7z,RAR files etc and this is the best hands down. lightweight,no ads, FREE and it even has a text editor/ viewer/ notepad included . I wish all android devices should come with this software as the default app for these tasks. Great job to the developers! I will donate to ur cause keep up the good work😁
This is your go-to solution if your ROM doesn't have a file manager or it's way too barebones to be actually usable (pre-Pie AOSP), has none to basic archive management options (TouchWiz), or you just want a functional file management application with archiving capabilities, root access and cloud storage support. It even has a basic image viewer and a text editor if you ever need that, and can manage installation of XAPK bundles, too! Get the pro version if you can, it's well worth it.
What a cool app! I really recommend this if you want to extract .zip or .rar format files (I think it can extract more than 2 type files above, but I haven't tried it before). And also, if you couldn't find your file in your folder, let ZArchiver find it. I think this is one of the most necessary app to be downloaded in my phone.
I really love this app. It's really easy to use and I would give it a 5 star rating with no complaints at all, but there's one bug that causes me to reinstall this app everytime, it's a bug where if I copy a file, the file gets corrupted and the file will be 0B also known as 0 bites, I want to share some files with my friend but this is a really annoying bug and I would like it to be fixed. Other then this, good job and the app is perfect!
I wish I could give 4.9 stars. This is a really good file manager, but there is one tiny bug... Whenever I try to overwrite a file and the old file was bigger than the new file, there will be extra room on the end of the file, but it's basically just corrupted data. It corrupts the file and makes it impossible for most programs to run it. Please either tell me how to fix this if it isn't a bug and fix it If it is. Otherwise, it is an amazing app and my number one choice for a file manager! 🙂👏
ZArchiver is a great app to zip files, managing your data, and doing so many things, but I've got issues with moving or copying files in data folders, it sometimes runs with errors when I move the files, even under 1 MB files, it stops moving, it was never happening until I noticed this issue since months ago, please fix these kind of following bugs as much as you can, thank you! :)
Surprised to see with such a good app you missed one simple and basic thing. If we open an archieve from another app; WhatsApp for instance. It should close the app when we hit back button but it proceeds to go back folder by folder which leads to unexpected behaviour. I opened a file directly not navigated all those folders to open a file. Please fix it. Its really annoying having to close the app direct from recent apps.
Used to be okay then, but then modifying the Data folder, say com.mojang (Minecraft root folder) for example, I try to copy some resource pack contents or modify or delete unnecessary added files but keeps givinge the error that I can't. Did this restriction occur in the last ZArchiver update?? Please fix this as ZArchiver had a lot of freedom back then
The app has been so good for me these last couple of years. However, lately, I've come across an issue. Every time I try to extract a zip file to a folder, it always says, "Operation completed with error." I has never given me that notification until today. I'd appreciate if the devs would update the app. Maybe that's the solution. :3 💗
It's a great tool for decompressing zips. It's free and has no ads. I've been using it for a long time, however I put 3 starts to it because even if I have my phone rooted, the permission given to the app, and even with the root section activated in the app, the app doesn't allow me to copy files from the root path anyway! It displays: "operation completed with errors". I tried mixplorer with root and everything was alright. Good app but with bugs.
For a while it was my favorite, but recently, the app seems to have gotten worse, my phone is on Android 14 and it won't let me access the data folder, the canceling or extracting operation is also very broken, it takes a long time, and sometimes there are extraction errors, as well as copying and pasting, for no reason at all, solve this, the app was already good, the update made it slower and buggy !!
