If you play Warframe, this is the app for you! This app lets you build Warframes, weapons, and different types of gear via your foundery without having to log into the game. The only unfortunate downside is that if you have a clan, you can't use this app to research blueprints via your Tenno clan dojo labs. Overall, this app is very useful, very convenient, and fun to peruse through the news and what is in your inventory (mods included).
It is very useful for when you are away from your console or PC. But you can't modify mods or change your inventory. Though it would be cool of you could play warframe on Mobile so I can play on the go. Anyways, this app is morere for building items, attending care for your pet, looking at news/events, and looking at your inventory.
I love this app it has helped me so much since in my time playing warframe, I mostly use it for the foundry but being able to look through the available Warframes and weapons is super cool as well. The only other options I think I would want would be the capability to see my personal Warframe and change it’s appearance, and access to my clan dojo. I think it would be extremely cool to have a map of my dojo on my phone and even more cool if I can add different segments to it as well. Other than that I love this game and I love the community, I definitely feel valued as a player while I am playing the game, which is unfortunately rare with the new era of gaming. the new UI looks great and looks easier to get around the menus , it's definitely a needed refresher! but I am getting nothing but a loading symbol before and after signing in. news, community, inventory, foundry... none of these pop with any information, just loading. I have forced closed the app tired on and off of wifi, and still nothing. the Devs or great I am sure they will solve and I'll take my score to 5 stars. Edit* All issues fixed 5stars!
A useful tool for dedicated Tenno for news, events and lore about the game’s story. With the most important function of the app being the foundry where warframe a, weapons and more can be crafted remotely. This is especially useful for crafting forma, the resource needed to apply mods to a weapon or warframe that 23 hours in real time to craft hence the title of this review. The only thing missing is probably is an auction house like section for players to sell tradable items remotely. Example: Remotely selling an Ayatan for the price of 3 platinum (warframe premium currency) with the offer last until a buyer is found or the seller takes down the offer. But the feature is not needed for an enjoyable experience of the game.
This app enables you to run your foundry and extractors all the time. It does a bit more than that but not a lot more. I enjoy that aspect enough to rate it highly because the amount of non-play things you can do is limited in the game anyway. It also shows the alerts and invasions. This is handy when maybe you hadn’t intended playing for a day but an alert appears which shows you something you might have missed otherwise (like gifts of the lotus). Overall the app is fairly limited but so are the things you can do in Warframe outside a mission anyway. I like that it let me run my foundry making Forma whenever I was away for work and never even got to play.
Does the job well, simple and easy to use. My one gripe is the app won't remember my login credentials. I understand not staying logged in 24/7 because it would log you out of the game; but at least make it a 1-click login after the first time. I use steam login so it's a hassle to jump to my password manager AND authenticate via the steam mobile app every. Single. Time.
Latest update made the login button too hard to press (it's cut off at the bottom) so I need to open the side menu to login (which is way up at the top left corner. I have small hands :/ ). I like this for checking extractors because it's more tedious to do in-game. It's also helpful for planning or making lists of what I need to do when I play next since I can access codex, inventory, relics, alerts, nightwave etc. I wish I could use this while in-game though
Love the game and the app. I just wish the game mail would be added to the app. It would make some things a little easier for players that take vacations without their gaming device, whether they're console gamers or pc. Not everyone lugs around their gaming system. Also the ability to adjust equipment in the arsenal would be nice. Otherwise, thank you for a wonderful game.
I like companion apps. I have many other things going on so keeping the game going is a huge plus instead of having to login for something small like the foundry. I do have a feature suggestion though. I would like to see easier ways to track and prioritize tasks. For example I thought of one way that should be relatively simple to make. For all made (or marked) gear/items, there is one list that compiles ALL of the items collectively so you can see what material is in most demand. That'll help!
Useful to have when you can't login while traveling. Would be better if you could use it at the same time as the actual game, sort of like Destiny companion app. Since the last update I don't get notifications from the app anymore. Confirmed notification settings enabled in the app as well as in Android
The app is very cool. it is convenient to see the alerts and whatnot on the go. But it lacks some features that i think would be beneficial to us. firstly, there should be a server-wide chat systems that is for clan, randoms, and trade. Speaking of trade, there should be a trading system that allows us to see the average price of an item being sold or bought on the go, kind of like warframe.market, but in the app. Lastly, there should be a function where we could sell our items, as if we were to go to inventory in the actual game. The building seems to be quite glitched, as in I dont see the bar moving in realtime, idk, I think that might be a me problem. but overall, decent and usefull app at times.
I have been playing the Warframe since 2014. I have been using this app on and off for about two years. It’s a simple and solid app. The good. I am able to build things I need in the foundry while I’m at work I’m able to send and claim extractors as well. And honestly that helps out a little bit. I like how I can check and news updates and stay up to date with any updates before I get home. I enjoy that I can see what my mod load outs are. The bad. But I don’t like that I can’t see how each load out effects my stats. From time to time I watch videos on better builds and I would like to see how the numbers compare. Sometimes I want to change stuff but I can’t due to the limitations of this app. With mods being such a huge part of the overall game you would think they would want us to be able to change them on the fly so then we play more vs sitting around changing mods. Things I want to see. I have a clan in the game, so I would love for there to be an option to change the message of the day (MOTD). Or chat with them if they are in game. The Xbox app allows me and my friends to see when we are on Xbox or the app and it allows us to message each other with no issue. It would make it easier to stay connected with the homies when I’m away from my Xbox. Even more so that I pick up new players from all over the place.
This app has a lot of missed potential. Clean design but very limited in what you can do. I hope DE improves this app. It’s a great app if your aim is to specifically run extractors throughout the day or to start and claim foundry items. Even care for your companions or move them in and out of stasis. Everything else is heavily lacking in this app. You cannot change loadout - only view current setup. You cannot customize your mod slots or enhance their abilities. Ranks for items/weapons often do not matchup from arsenal to inventory (taxon rank 30 in inventory, true rank 27 in Arsenal). This slip up caused me to open my stasis companion early. There is also no ability to view your profile to see how much exp is needed for next ranking or syndicate rankings. No access to clan functions at all. No access to orbiter market. Can’t even view your own personalized warframe/s. Essentially what I would like to see is the ability to do everything you can do in game in orbiter with access to in game markets.
This is a good companion app and it allows you to do quite a bit while not directly logged into the game. However, I do wish for more. Getting your Daily Login bonus. Adjusting your Arsenal and Mods. Essentially anything that you can do in game in the Ship (except launching into Missions) I want available in the Companion App. As it stands, it allows you to take care of a couple of tasks, but not the full spectrum that I'd like to access while away from my computer.
A very nice app go check on updates and descriptions of items in the game. There are a few things I would like in this app, such as being able to sell items in the inventory, swap your equipped arsenal, etc. I could see why it may be difficult to add these features, but it would really help the app because the only thing I use it for is checking on the foundry, but I can't sell anything in my inventory to make space to get the foundry items in my inventory. Otherwise, its a nice app.
It does well with off-desk functions such as foundry management (something that I like very much) as well as bringing me up to speed on the Warframe Media. It's HUD, however is out if date since The Second Dream. It lacks support for Operator management as well as tracking on Cetus and Fortuna for the Time. As time goes on, this app loses the ability to keep up with the game. I see a lot of potential with this app, but it's a matter of DE if they are willing to go through with this.
Handy, but has bugs, annoyances, and odd UI choices. The foundry, for example, has no sorting options like in game, no "all" option if you're looking for something by name, and requires using the back button rather than the side menu. Login is mutually exclusive with in-game, despite the only actual actions you can take being extractors and the foundry. The login is also highly spastic, at times retaining a login for days, at others forcing you to re-type your password on every open of the app.
It worked great. I was able to collect completed foundry items and extractors. I could interact with my Kubrow and keep him happy. Then all of a sudden I started having login issues. It kept bringing up Error Code 700. I tried looking for it on the official FAQ page but I couldn't find it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, force stopping and clearing app data, and even just trying different Wi-Fi networks and I'm still unable to login. It's a shame the game is awesome.
I love Warframe, it's my favorite killer of time. But I can't overlook how bad this application is for non-PC players. As a PS player I can't even login to access the foundry. I've spent days trying to get logged in and Even when I get a message "Your logged in, you may return to your application" I'm still not actually logged in on the application when I return. I hate to give digital extremes a two-star rating but... Please fix this app.
A companion app...that cannot be used as a companion.....sigh. So, the app allows you to craft things that don't need a sub-menu (no specters). It allows you to deploy extractors, assuming that single serving 8 hour rng devices are to your liking. It also lets you see loadouts, but alter nothing. So...the app is functionally not great, but worse it is account bound and thus precludes use while in-game. All I can offer stars about is that it allows decent access to forums and news.
