Hello. I’ve been using your app for years and it’s one of the best study tools available on iOS. I was extremely surprised to see in the latest update released this week that in the interlinear you NO LONGER can see where a Strong’s number is used for the corresponding Hebrew or Greek word you want to study. For instance there are several words used for wisdom in proverbs. I used to could pick a verse, click on the word for wisdom and see all verses where the word was used. That I can still do but it NO LONGER shows in the list of scriptures where the Strong’s word I’m researching was actually used. Sometimes the word wisdom can be used twice in the same verse but 2 different Hebrew words are used. Well I no longer can see which is used for the word I’m currently studying! I just know it’s one of them but I can’t tell which one unless I actually go into that verse and study it separately. This is a major feature loss and I’m shocked this was removed. Please let us see the Strong’s numbers in the list of usage verses again. Thanks! Update: Thanks for your response. You can see the Strong’s numbers for all verses using a word AS LONG as you go to interlinear in the KJV version. I wish it was with any translation like before but at least you can still access it. This is still the best bible study app on the store! Hello and thank you for leaving a review. The Blue Letter Bible apologies for any inconvenience you are having with the app. Please know that the format of the Interlinear changed with revision 2.70 of the app to match more closely that of the main BLB web site mobile responsiveness interface and the Android mobile app interface. This format change provides for both forward and reverse Interlinear and is now provides a more consistent interface of information across platforms. As you tap on the individual Strong's numbers within the view you will find the Outline of Biblical Usage, Strong's Definitions, Lexicon information and Concordance information as you scroll. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact the ministry and a staff member will respond. Please use this link to contact us (https://www.blueletterbible.org/contact/)

Great Bible app! It has so much in there—Strongs, Lexicons, Bible narration, etc. That most other apps don't have. The UI could be cleaned up a bit. It's a little clunky looking in places and can be slightly confusing to navigate but it's worth it. Developers if you're reading this, I would suggest that for a lot of the navigational icons you put text with them - it's not always obvious what they do. Also, I think the Home button should be a Bible button, since that's what it navigates to.

Best Bible phone app I've used. I've always felt ham-handed trying to study or prepare a class using phone apps. I've been MUCH more comfortable using a PC. The BLB has changed that. It has most all of the study tools I use. You can even do an Englishman's search even though it doesn't technically have the Englishman's concordance. What could be improved? The ability to flip back and forth between search result screens. Nevertheless, navigation is pretty good... once you learn how to use it.

I love this app. It's like having an entire library of useful resources at my fingertips. I can read from many version of the Bible, highlight, take notes, create notebooks, use dictionaries, commentaries, and more. The only problem I have is that there isn't a concordance. If there was I would never have to use another app

If you want a pretty app with pretty quotations and pretty backgrounds, there are hundreds to choose from. If you want an app that will deepen your love for the Word, provide you with study aids, commentaries, extensive cross-translations and an excellant interlinear, this is the one you want. HOWEVER, if you also want subscriptions, rating nags, scrolling ads, pimps for products, and other commercial behavior, best go elsewhere. A no-brainer 5 star app. Consider supporting them monthly, I do.

I've been using this app since forever, I've tried others but always revert back to this one for the Greek and Hebrew def., ease of navigating, & the extra commentaries. My only suggestion, which I can't find on any app, is the ability to write notes under or next to each verse, instead of adding notes somewhere else, it would be so convenient in being able to see my notes right there on that page right where the verse is, this is what I'll continue to look for in a perfect bible study app.

I really enjoy using this bible app. It's simple and user friendly. The cross reference and interlinear features are very helpful and I use them a lot. I can customize my highlights by changing the colors, naming them, and all of the verses I've highlighted in a certain color are grouped together in that specific highlight tab. I can make notes, star verses, underline them, it's nice! The audio is great as well! Thank you for putting the time into creating this app!!

I love the click connection to dictionaries, and other resources. Great source of Bible versions with even a comparison available. I love having such a great app of the Bible at my fingertips. I love my BLB! 2025 My favorite app and they keep adding new content. Now they have quite a bit of commentaries by CHSpurgeon. The reader is priceless, I listen to it while doing dishes or any mindless task. instead fill the mind with God's word.

This app is great!!! It has highlighters that one can use and you don't have to pay to use the multiple colors. You can also bookmark your page to know where you are in terms of reading. There are favorite verses and notes you can add in yourself. Plus, the ability to download other versions of the Bible for free is absolutely great! After using this app for more than a couple months, only 1 thing I'd add is the ability to make multiple bookmarks for different reasons. This app is a keeper!

🙂 I use it a lot! 📖 It's my first go to Bible app on a smart media device. Thank you all who have made this app possible. Well done. It would be nice if there were a few more options to select for customizing the viewing, and audio portion of it. But that is definitely irrelevant. Because the only thing one should look forward to would be for that of God's word, Scripture, and the Gospels. Much obliged, Edward

I love it !! This has replaced YouVersion bible app. It is so much easier to use, and it doesn't lag like the other app and love the colors to highlight the bible scriptures so much brighter. Also, it has a parallel side by side view of two bibles, and you can select a second one to view them and study both or look at the different translations, for example, NIV and KJV. It's incredible ! I think you should try it ! ♥️

Have never been prompted to review this app. App is run on donations, so I've never been bothered by ads. Really like that I can compare 2 translations at a time. There are many translations to choose from. The spoken Bible feature still works even if I turn off the phone so I can listen to the Bible at night without being bothered by the screen light. Easy to navigate. Can't seem to get help for when app glitches. Just referred to Google group. Last thing I want to do is utilize another Google

Love the app. This app has many powerful tools for Bible study and reading. I love the cross references and audio commentary. I also love the expositions. I do have one request though. I would love the ability to control the audio player with my Bluetooth headset. I'm not able to control the play and pause features, and I wish that I could do that. Other than that, this app is perfect.

For the purpose of truly understanding God's word, I have not come across another app that is it's equal, let alone superior. I can listen to the Word (faith comes by hearing) and, when a verse jumps out, I stop & go deeper. Either by cross referencing or looking at the original language for better understanding. This has truly helped my walk with God! Request: can you add a verse of the day and image creation (for sharing important verses) option?

I love this resource! I love the dictionary and other reference materials that easily tap onto the screen. I enjoy the note and highlight features and especially all the different Bible versions; having my two favorites, reading side by side for direct comparison. It can even read aloud to you; which I love to set on to one of the "dramatized" bible versions and then listen while drive.

Tremendous bible resource in every way, just start exploring and be sure to click on a verse and click the one in the middle of menu and you will be able view Greek and Hebrew and explanation of all words (that choice is: Concordance/Interlinear); and so much more, all ad free. It is truly amazing. I started using this app over 7 years ago. The desktop edition is also great. For this app:They keep improving on what is already great. Example: choice for you to have the chapter read aloud for you, or the whole of the book within the 66 books of the Bible. Just about every translation of the many English translations are available. Also includes Thayer’s in depth original and amazing words in Bible I continue to learn about the root meanings through this tremendous resource that the brilliant geniuses of the development team make available when you go to a verse in linear concordance and tap any word you will get Hebrew and Greek of word it even pronounces it for you and click at bottom of that page for the Thayer selection which opens up a whole realm of authentic text Insight- when you see it you’ll get what I mean - hard to describe depths of this and for each word. I’m not an employee of this remarkable non profit, may I recommend supporting it. Also fully available on your web browser. iPad version is also dynamic and outstanding as well.

The Word of God is my barometer for life; for spiritual life. The Blue Letter Bible enables me to have His Word available at times I don't have my Bible. It is truly a user friendly App. Blue Letter Bible also has a great website. I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet some of the Blue Letter Staff on a couple of occasions and from them, learn much more about the App and about Blue Letter's ministry. It is obviously to make God's Word available to more souls. It is a God honoring ministry • Soli Deo Gloria. The App contains many wonderful features: a) Search; b) Ability to highlight text; c) Background color/text color change; d) Audio read; and e) Scroll feature to name a few. I have found the App's features to be consistently reliable. The Blue Letter App doesn't contain a lot of extraneous, options (or programs) to distract from the pure Word of God as do some Bible Apps. In essence, The Blue Letter Bible provides one with the opportunity to have The Word in an unclouded format. In a format in which one needn't be concerned with the potentially misleading opinions of man. I love the purity of The Word of God and, with the assistance of The Holy Spirit, drawing nigh Him through His precious Word. When I consider The Blue Letter Bible App, I am made mindful of the monicker Sola Scriptura! Thank you Blue Letter Bible for your wonderful App! ~WyoKid

This is been an incredible Bible to study out of I've been sitting with my grandfather long distance and this has helped us so much. I would like to say also that this by far is completely perfect in Word for Word chapter by chapter verse by verse perfection they made sure to get it right. And other Bibles I've heard them say the word Jew instead of Israel or the tribe of Judah instead of Israel which is the original translation you have to go back to the beginning translations to understand what the new were Bibles have changed. The new were Bibles have changed if these things against God and against man and they will reap the consequences in heaven. Never deface the Bible it is a beautiful poetic studying theology God bless America where at least I know I'm free a God-given right that we should never let go of this Bible gives it that credibility a human right God given that we are free this Bible helps you to go back-and-forth chapter by chapter verse by verse and reference new and old testament genesis words often referenced in John and Matthew by Jesus it's a beautiful scripture wonderful to share with your family.

This Bible reading app is incredible. It is everything a Bible app should be, and nothing it's not. It starts with the download being fast, telling me there isn't a lot of extra "fluff" that other apps have. Then there is a long list of translations to choose from, with parallel reading available. There is also a good selection of daily reading plans that don't mess with your current reading selections, making it a great study tool. There are more features than I can list here, and NO ads!

Great app with some great features such as searching for a verse, word or phrase and bringing back excellent results but the app constantly locked up on me. Had to force close and reopen it several times within a couple minutes. Fix this and I will come back to using it. Update: 7/14/24 The issue mentioned in my original review has been fixed. App is also supplemented with great resources on BLB website. The only feature lacking is syncing between devices. I highly recommend this app.

I really love this app! Only 3 - : 1. there should be a login so that we can log in on different devices & the data (i.e. notes, highlights, etc) is saved so we don't have to go through & do it all over again if we get new (or switch) devices. 2.when creating a new note under the Notebook, we should be able to title that specific note instead of it saving as a vs ref. 3. when we have a bookmark on a verse we should be able to click on the bookmark & it show us which bookmark/s that it's in.

Often I find in your search engine when looking for a verse by using a word or phrase inconsistent. When the verse won’t appear in my search but the word or words do appear in the verse very frustrating. Also because I really love and use your Cross Reference to get parallel scriptures to further my understanding I’ve found inconsistencies there too. For instance in Revelation 3:10 where Christ is saying He will keep the Church of Philadelphia from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world to test those who “dwell on the earth”. In your TSk portion, you don’t even reference “dwell on earth” in your categories of search. Notice the long list direct references and even a couple of indirect references as an example: Revelation 6:10,11:10,13:8,14,14:617:8 with direct quotes “who dwell on earth”. Revelation12:10 “inhabitants of the earth’; 13:12 “... and those who dwell in it” are indirect references. I have used the BLB for the last 15+ years and it was originally recommended to me by the late Chuck Missler and I especially love the # of Bibles available for cross references and the easy to use format of seeing them at a glance. Over the years the above mentioned discrepancies have frustrated me and I thought you could use this feed back to make BLB even better. Thanks for all that you’ve done and will continue to do to make Bible illiteracy a thing of the past.

I really like the app, and I use it every day! But 1 issue I have is that after I have done my daily reading and marked the passages as read, when I go to read the next day, it puts me back to what I have already read. Sometimes, it puts me several chapters behind or even an entire book. I make sure that I mark the passages as read, but it still does it.

Since 2021 review, less frequent screen freezes. Also, turning mobile sideways whilst reading, the text keeps in same position, which didn't used to happen. App has always been useful for Bible readers, & also available in many different translations & languages too! I use app daily & I now award **** as it's more reliable than in 2021. One on-going issue: I've never been able to transfer Bible notes between phones - if this changed, I'd consider *****!

Love this app. Sadly, Since the last update we have lost information in the Hebrew/greek parsing area now it is blank for strongs info. Now we have to tap a bunch of different areas instead of a hyper link that takes you to it. The pop up was easier and faster, hopefully it comes back.

This is a truly amazing study tool. I wish, though, that my phone version was tied to my desktop version. They both provide the same study materials, but when I make marks in my mobile version, they don't appear in the other. Also, the desktop version requires a third app to mark the text. It works great, too, but it is disconnected from the other two apps.

I have used the BLB KJV for many years and prefer its narrative over others, however there a couple of things that annoy me: 1. The introduction to each chapter is included in the 1st verse as if it were a part of it, which it isn't. 2. When I go to settings to change scroll speed or something, I am brought back to the beginning of the chapter, or the beginning of the days reading, if you are on a set reading plan instead of where I left off. Other than that, I really do enjoy this app.

The KJV reader leaves a lot to be desired. I think it is probably something AI. No emotion. I used it to read through the Bible chronologically for a year. Several times there was 'No Audio Files. And the music that is supposedly played in the background is awful and frequently is louder than the reader. Many times I looked up what I was to read for the day, marked it read, and switched to another Bible app to listen to it. Would it be possible to just have Alexander Scourby read it? Please?

80% of the time I use BLB for the Interlinear function to convert words to original language txt to find out the original meanings of. The 20% of the time I use it as a regular bible, I get frustrated by it. The back button skips 2 menus to the previous chapter and not back to the search results. The search function is also a pain, as it is part broken. While it can ONLY search for exact keywords, and not suggestions (like the more popular YouVersion can), not all keywords are searchable! 😡

I like your app very much and use it often to search for where words are in the Bible. You make it easy; however, there are too many times where I search for terms that I know are in the Bible but I can't find them. I just went through almost every version one by one looking for a term and I never could find it. I hope you will update the app so that we can look for phrases across all versions of the Bible. Even if a comma is missing, there are no search results. That would be very helpful.

Recently, I often have an issue on a blank page after backing out of the interlinear. The menu to the right will open when taping the blank area where the scripture text should appear, only the scriptures are no longer showing. I have to force close the app and reopen it to enable seeing the scripture text again. Makes it difficult to dive deep in studying the Word. App is amazing other than that issue.

It has become an issue when you search for & then try to save a whole chapter, to find that feature is still not there (I have been using this app for many years, & that feature is missing & has been for some time, but I've just saved & noted things offline.) You can't save a chapter or bookmark it either, & having these features would make Bible study so much easier. A sidebar just to hold recent searches or bookmarks for easier recall would be nice too. TY💜

I want to give BLB 5-stars for all the tools built into the app, but a major issue is that there is apparently no way to back-up and restore to a new device, meaning you lose all your highlights, bookmarks, and notes. This has been an issue for a while. Also, support is non-existent. Questions posted to their Google group go mainly unanswered and no other support options exist. I know it's a free app and they don't have a full-time staff, but it can't be 5 stars when broken and no support.

I've been satisfied with this app up until today, when I opened ut and found that the bookmark option has completely dissapeared, along with all my bookmarks! It looks like a different version of the app was somehow installed - but not by me! I've searched all the resources given, with no sucess. If anyone knows what happened I would appreciate the help. Meanwhile, I must give it a 2, and that's generous, considering that all my prior scripture research is gone!

Stop working The app just stopped working. Interlinear would open, but when you click on the phrase or Word for more insight, it says Greek parsing in a very short menu or dialog box. I have had this app for a few years now. It just updated on its own. 🥲🥲🥲🥲 Other than that, this app is the best to use!

Blue Letter Bible says that backups are no longer stored where they used to be but they don't communicate at all where the backups are stored with the current version. It is extremely important to know for users who are getting new cell phones or cell phone service and have hundreds or thousands over many years of sermon or Bible study notes, highlights, favorites and bookmarks. It would be very helpful to have a feature to search notes.

Well, I USED to like it! A few days ago it froze up but, after a couple of hours it started working again. Yesterday 5/26/24 it froze AND it is still frozen!! I know, I have an older phone Samsung S9+ and it still works great! I'm most upset because my highlights will be gone. Oh, I've had this app for a few years. I'm sorry to see it go

App used to be an incredibly helpful study tool, particularly the interlinear. However, the frequent and persistent issues I've encountered with blank screens make it impossible for me to read the Bible. I've encountered these issues for the past few months and have posted reviews on it before. These issues persisted, but I still tried to use the app when it was functional. Today, however, the app completely froze and was unusable. Time to look for alternatives I think 😢
