Sprint my whole life and there visual voicemail worked perfectly. New phone is now automatically T-Mobile. I don't have a problem with T-Mobile, but this app is not intuitive at all. You should have an inbox folder, deleted folder, forwarded folder. If I play a message and hit 7 to delete it, it should go away from the list in the visual voicemail. It doesn't. Come on, you guys can do way better. This is a really simple, basic app that just needs a few options to do what it needs to do.
Same experience as @Jeff Wilson's review. It also shouldn't be called "Visual Voicemail" since you have to pay monthly to see your voicemail, as in voicemail to text. I'm also confused as to why I have to sometimes listen to messages by dialing a number and pressing 7 or whatever to delete. But then they also show up on my app. And some don't. Frustrating.
It used to work fine, but the past few months ALL the voicemail recordings kinda "skip" and make it nearly impossible to understand what the message is even about. How do you manage to break an app that's only job is voicemail retrieval, to be unable to do voicemail retrieval?? An error message comes up to contact customer service, but no number or email comes up.
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else, after the most recent update this app has completely stopped working. It tells me I need to turn my cellular data mode on, which it is, but everything i do just doesn't seem to work. Went through all my settings, I've uninstalled the app, I even waited a couple weeks after the update to go back and see if maybe it was just a temporary issue, but it still fails to recognize i have my data on for some reason? It's infuriating to see the least.
It never works! I have refreshed it an unimaginable amount of times along with uninstalling and reinstalling the app...with it just telling me "we are experiencing temporary connection issues, please manually refresh your inbox and try again later". Well I have been trying for several weeks and still don't know when I have voicemails unless I keep dialing "123" to find out.
Why change what very few have complained about? The original app was much easier to use and easier on the eyes. If you insist on forcing these changes on your customers without their input, you may be forcing a lot of your customers to change to another carrier. BRING THE ORIGINAL APP BACK!!!! Read the reviews. Very very few give it more than 2 stars. 99% of them agree that this change sucks. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL APP!!!!!!
This app will work well for a few days, and then be down for a few weeks at a time where I will have to call into voicemail to recieve the messages. Galaxy S21 Ultra. For example, it hasn't worked for 5 days, despite, and when i go to refresh it, it just thinks for a really long time, and then says "last synced on Friday....." days ago... Wish this app would get more support, but there seems to be plenty of other complaints about the exact same thing on here, so hopefully they figure this out soon because its pretty annoying.
Does not work most of the time. Often it will stop pulling your messages in. So even though you have a voicemail and may get a notification, the voicemail will not load to the visual voicemail app. When I try to refresh, I get a message that says that I should try again later because the server cannot be reached. It doesnt make any difference if I try later because I get the same error message. Calls to TMobile were not effective, although the agents were nice. I ended up uninstalling.
*Update: Using MetroPCS Visual Voicemail instead worked for me. However, it doesn't seem to automatically sync. Even so, it's inexcusable that Metro works and this app does not. "We're sorry, we are having difficulty access the Voicemail server. Please try again in a few minutes." This failed attempt at grammar should let you know how great this app is. Even the error messages don't function correctly..
I just got a new phone. One plus 10pro. I installed the app to use on my new phone and it doesn't show my voicemails. I click refresh but it just freezes up. Nothing happens. The refresh circle keeps spinning but it doesn't refresh. So I can't see any voicemails. It worked fine on my old phone, literally just a few weeks ago it worked fine on my One Plus 8 5G. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but it does the same thing. That didn't fix the issue. I also did a force stop the app but no luck.
Serious problem!! Stopped working recently, maybe 3 weeks ago or so. No idea actually how long ago. After well over an hour going through all kinds of settings, and turning stuff on and turning stuff off, and hanging up and calling back, etc. Tech Support has been horrible!! I was assured it would be fixed a week ago. It isn't. Another 1.5 hour call with a tech support person - that was in a call center that was having a party!!! The background noise, laughing, yelling, etc, made it even worse.
This app needs to be updated. I have a good connection as well as full bars all day working. When I miss a call, the voicemail does not show up immediately or even within a 24hr time period of the left message. That's a huge problem as there are a lot of telemarketers and I rely on voicemail to screen my calls. By the time they show up and I get notified of a "new voicemail" it's been a week or more. That's not ok. Problem has been happening consistently for a year.
It stops working way too often! I stop receiving voicemail at all & it doesn't let me know that anything is wrong. Other times it sends me 5 notifications in a row about the same vm, sometimes hours after I received it. I've had to uninstall/reinstall the app several times to get it working again. I can't be the only one it's happening to. One positive is that you can request a text or email of your voicemails. That's been a great workaround for most of the issues I've had with it.
