I really enjoy thread-up. It has been a great way for me to find more specific items while still wanting to avoid buying clothes new. Resale is not the same as thrift stores, so yes, prices are not gunna be as low as a thrift store. However, the prices are quite reasonable and the quality of the items I've gotten has been great so far. They are a great alternative to a fast fashion store if you're looking for something specific!

I really like this app but I gave them 3 stars because they have the worst customer service. First there is no email address or phone number listed if you have issues with your order. An order I placed on 05/03/2025 had 2 items is still "being processed"..yet they took the money when I placed the order! I have had no communication from Thredup at all!! The chat option was no help. All I was told... it can take up to 11 days to arrive after being processed. Gee Thanks for the update!

I used to really like the app, but they're hardly worth spending money on anymore. it can be really great when you're looking for something specific. The search engine is very detailed. Clothes can be well filtered so that you can find exactly what you're looking for; except maternity, which could be better. Prices have gone up to the point of unreasonable imo, and in my past 2 orders, items I purchased were "canceled" refunded, and removed from my cart. which I've found to be very frustrating.

Good place to get some things, quality of items is typically well described. Selling your things was bad, but it's gotten worse so that it feels a scam. They charge you for everything and there are some brands that they sell for a decent price that they won't give you any credit for "because they can't sell it at a decent price"... uh, I can see what you listed it for 🤔. You have the option to reclaim your items, but now you have to pay for them individually instead of a flat fee.

I love that searches are easy and the new search tool from an image is awesome but the App always has glitches. Sometimes you can't see your favorites, sometimes you can't see your saved searches, sometimes when you click on an item then go back it takes you back to the very top instead of where you left off. Luckily, they seem to be short lived, although frustrating. I think it's a great place to buy. I've not been thrilled with selling-too may fees and too low of a percentage.

Initially impressed at the selection and prices, that all went out the window when I got my order. One pair of pants had been labeled my size on the app, but when I got them, they weren't even close to my size! Despite this being their mistake, I still had to pay the restocking fee and the options to return are atrocious. I opted for the site credit figuring I could find something else, but now can't even get close to just spending the credit amount.

As many other people have stated in reviews, if you want to look at an item & click on it - when you go back, it takes you to the top of the list instead of back to where you were. Super annoying & frustrating, you have to favorite the item & look at it there if you don't want scroll back thru 200 items you've already scrolled thru. Also, the sizing isn't (most often) super accurate, even if they show a pic of the tag. There is no differentiation between Juniors sizing and Women's, etc.

I like the idea. But it's really not worth it. better to go to a thrift store. Also, selling is not at all worth it. I sent brand clothes some with tags and in season.... only to get maybe one 4$ item. Without tags, it drops to about 1 or less per item. Which wouldn't be so horrible if the fee wasn't 18$. And many of the clothes are not accepted, so IF I manage to make 20$, I'd only get 2$ after the fee.

I think it is wild that a brand that prides itself on being eco-friendly has started to use AI. I also had a pair of pants come in with a glove and Gatorade cap in the pockets. The pricing is also a bit much, the clothes are used and they still are still charging 40+$ for a name brand shirt. I also lost my points because I didn't order soon enough, isn't the sustainable option to not order more clothes.

Not what it used to be. I've been buying from ThredUP for 7 years and have sold a couple of times — This last time the profit was minimal, it all feels like a scam now. The point system is gone and prices are pretty high in my opinion. Things shifted after the Pandemic, as did many other things, but the way the company is being run is significantly different and a lot of the features that used to set it apart from other thrift shops are gone. Customer loyalty strategies need improvement.

Great concept, poor execution. 1st, thredUP logged me out of the app and now the only way I can get back in is to link my account to FB, Amazon or Google, none of which I want to do. Second, like so many others, I was surprised about how little $$ I received for my sale items. Items I could have easily sold elsewhere, were rejected but it would cost me more $$ just to get them back. 3rd, sometimes listed clothing sizes are mislabeled including final sale items.

I gave this app a 5 star in 2020 when I first started using it but it's gotten so much worse. It's hard to browse because there are too many options and the filters don't work. I have been burned too many times by incorrect sizing information. They charge a restocking fee, which does not get waived if you return due to incorrect information on their end, even when proof is provided. Customer service is terrible, mostly nobody responds. After the redesign, the same issues persist.

BUYER BEWARE!!! They take nice pics of the items then when you get them you see that they conveniently didn't take pictures of the damage and stains. The app is designed in a way that makes it easy to make the wrong choice when checking out or accidentally check out and then you can't reverse it... or Customer service is always busy or never available... BEWARE!!!

They have changed into nothing but a scam. They sent me a piece of clothing that was clearly manipulated in the photos on the app to look fine. It wasn't. The neck line was so stretched out it went down to my belly button!!!! I tried to send it back and my options were to pay $11 to ship it back and their $3.99 restocking fee (which is a scam in itself) or take a $5 loss and keep the item for credit which expires in a week. Still manipulating clothes in pics.

Worked with ThredUp years ago and it was wonderful. Thought I'd give it a shot again. Sent over 15 pairs of jeans, was processed sooner than the estimate sent, and was sent an email saying they're going to keep everything when I opted in to reclaim everything. They say its impossible to reclaim once processed because they throw all the unacceptable items together. Got a $25 credit for a bag worth much more. Truly, truly disappointed. I will NEVER work with them again.

I've had to make a couple of disputes with my bank because of this app. They canceled multiple items from my bundles and then never refunded me. It's such a cool app and way to shop in theory. But they definitely have some issues they need to resolve instead of just telling people "we don't do refunds."

Used to love this app, now disappointed in AI usage. Since I discovered Thredup in 2019, I've been buying most of my clothes there secondhand & loved it. Now I noticed that measurements for most items are no longer complete/listed, and some listings have an AI generated image of a model wearing the item. AI can be inaccurate and also bad for the environment, which is hypocritical of Thredup to use considering their mission statement. I'm extremely disappointed and hesitate supporting now.

0 STAR!! Horrible Rip offs. Ive sent them many boxes of clothes. Had almost everything sent back but a few items. They have a "processing fee for each box that you send they make you pay the processing fee out of your portion of what they sell the items for they keep about 80% of sells. $8 baby outfit. I only get $0.11. But seller does not get paid until the $35 processing fee is paid. Ive sold over $100 in items but I get $0 because they were from a few boxes I've sent. DO NOT SELL WITH THEM!!

The search and filter features need some work. I just tried searching for a particular brand of jeans and it took awhile to put the right phrase in, which was high rise - I don't want high rise. I also like to filter by lowest price, so why is there a pair of jeans for $8 then right next to it a pair for $30? What's the point of the filter if it doesn't work?? It's so frustrating when I am trying to browse through thousands of items. It's time-consuming when it doesn't need to be!

Finally, I broke down and thought I'd give this site a try with much disappointment to follow after doing so. I pick out 8 items, mostly pants for work and 1 sweater. After 2 weeks, I finally received the clothes. 2 out of 8 of the items were what I ordered. The rest were not. try to contact support with no luck. Everything seems to be AI generated. It looks like I'm stuck with 6 pairs of pants that do not fit. Like I said above, not what I ordered, or I can pay their shipping fees for each item
