Rating this 5 stars so the algo puts on top ratings. MUST READ!!! Their customer service just sees people as numbers, they don’t care about anything that happened to you, just your money. I understand that this is a business, and as a business, must generate revenue. I don’t mind spending some because I have fun. But when I have an issue in the game and customer service does nothing, then I don’t feel valued and is NO FUN. I had lag issues and one of my upgrades was cancelled and only half the plasma given back, as well as days of upgrade, biocaps, and speedups. I reached out to support and all I asked for was the plasma I lost due to the lag/freeze issue back. What did I get? I slap in the face nothing and automatically closed my ticket. I hate they close your support tickets right after a response! That shows they don’t give a rats about you or your issue. The issue is/was not resolved and I was not happy. Do not close my tickets automatically! Shame on your customer service. All I was asking is the same items I already had back, since I lost them to a technical issue. This in no way affects other players because I already owned these items! But you know what affects other players and the community? Me gone, another player gone, another player you lost because of your lack of care and respect. Value your customers!!

I went in to SoS with indifferent and honestly low expectations. The ads I’ve seen don’t do it justice though I know it’s a hard genre to advertise. I really like the multiple things you can do instead of just managing your settlement. I think the little exploration tasks and survival challenges really add flavor to it and are pretty fun. The in game transactions are honestly fair priced and you still get a lot of biocaps for completing missions so unless you have something specific in mind you might not even need to buy to progress. I like the multiple chiefs and their different combat abilities too. I think the events are pretty neat. The dailys are really beneficial too. If I had any criticism it’d be that it might be nice to have troops linger in the battlefield instead of completely returning. It can be a little cumbersome to have two intel missions right next to each other, 80km out, and have to wait 3 minutes for them to come back to send them out again. Though it’s entirely possible I’ve missed something. All in all, I’m having fun with it. Being in an alliance actually feels helpful for timers and such when in other games I’ve barely noticed their assistance. For reference for where I’m at in the game — I’m upgrading my HQ to 18 and I’ve been playing religiously for a week.

There is definitely a lot of pay to play in this game but it's definitely not the worst thing to happen. I've spent some money mainly to unlock the second builder but I'm actually doing quite well. All you have to do is research each of your settlement skills evenly, and put talent points into your development chief skills, then reset and put into combat when its time for combat events. I've had the game a few months and done just fine. Its salty and trolling players you need to watch out for.

The mechanics are introduced in an appropriately paced way, and the characters are fun. I love the collecting the different characters and killing the zombies in strategic combat. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is how many menu options are on the main screen. it floods the corners of the screen and is very visually busy. With an already busy style, it makes playing the game for longer periods of time more difficult. Aside from that, the game is well balanced and fun! 100% recommend it!

If you’re looking for a game that will pretty much take over your whole life you have found the right one. If you’re trying to enjoy a holiday with your family, know that this game will plan an event to interfere. If you choose your family over your game, you may come back to your village being zeroed. Such as what happened to me. You spent a lot of money and time building things up, and really don’t know the rules or how to get certain things even after six months of playing, this game still leaves a mystery. You find you’re doing things wrong which cost you a lot of time and then find others that know what they’re doing but won’t share that information with you even though they’re on the same team as you. They will take you and lead you into battles and won’t explain things to you and then they end up getting you in trouble because you don’t know what you’re doing. Some of your leaders will badmouth other teams which will cause the other teams to come after everybody in the group, not just the one that’s doing the bad mouthing so pick your alliance wisely. Streamers are there to take even more money from you. After awhile the game gets repetitive and you need to set an alarm for them. Make sure you are playing the time zone as most of your alliance or you will be left out of many good events. Plan to rack up $1000 on your credit card yearly. I did and I am frugal. After investing so much, hard to stop playing.

It's a decent attempt at the TD genre on a mobile platform. Unfortunately, it felt like I hit a pay wall while I was still in the prologue. If this were polished up a bit and gameplay balanced toward, you know, gameplay instead of IAP, I'd consider buying it on PC or console. As it is, I uninstalled it because I don't feel a game should require purchasing multiple VIP packages in order to feel like you're making progress in the prologue.

Gets boring after like lvl 10. I haven't paid for anything and don't plan to either so I'm sure I'll quit playing it rather quickly as it seems like the main purpose is to battle other players rather than a actual story. Keeps me busy at work but now that it takes 5 or 10 hours to upgrade my buildings I've been playing less and less oh well. It was kind of cool.

The game is fun, better than the other games of this style. But it is becoming more and more about the amount you spend, the developers are getting greedier and its ruining the experience. Thanks for responding. While what you say is 0, you certainly don't hesitate in having multiple events centered on spending money going at the same time. People will spend no matter what but the only way to stay competitive is too spend. It is a pay to win game plain and simple!

Well, it's a great game overall. The friendships created are irreplaceable. The problem is, as with most games, the ones who spend the most $, are the ones who can dictate how everyone else can enjoy the game (more like discourage play). I get the business perspective, but casual players WILL be discouraged / disappointed.

It's a fun game to be honest. Even though in higher levels of settlements it can be a pain in the arse to complete chapter quests or level up. My suggestion is to change the alliance store. In do many other games like this is much better. Being restocked by R4s and the leader. To be able to get a hand on things like timer speed ups, relocation items as such. Much better than hardly ever getting them when in need. I have so much more to suggest but I'm too shy to use the ticket system.

The game is similar to others out there. Build a settlement, attack zombies and compete with others for rewards. Warning, it is an expensive game. I’m fine with that, my issue is that their support is horrible. If you have any issue, it’s your fault. The game is riddled with bugs that lead to missing rewards (both free, and ones YOU PAID FOR), also some of the benefits (called buffs) you purchase won’t always work. Again, if you contact support, they will immediately say it’s your fault and close the support ticket. I found too many bugs that took things away from me that I paid for, so I stopped putting any money in. I also reported a few mystery charges I did not initiate, again it’s your fault, not theirs. I suggest you play it for free, and resist the urge to spend, because the developers will just find a way to steal from you. Or better yet, just move on to try one of the many other games that are exactly like this. Maybe those developers treat their customers better. *** Response to developer: More time? Each time I submitted an issue you were quick to close the ticket without asking any follow up questions. I had to submit the same ticket three times for the same bug. Each time having to re-explain the issue to every new agent who responded. You were not interested in fixing the issue, you just wanted to blow off your customer who spent A LOT of money. So, I’m done spending money. I’ll play for free with that kind of support. *** Greetings Survivor, we are sorry to learn that you had a negative experience with our team. We are constantly improving this aspect, kindly note that some issues may require more time to be thoroughly checked and reviewed, please feel free to contact us again if you require further assistance and we will try our best to help solve your issues.

I've been Playing for a year now, it's gotten very boring and is nothing but cash grab events. The graphics and game play pulled me in, however they weren't the same graphics advertised. This game has been just constant bombarding to buy. It's definitely pay to win game. its just too expensive to maintain power, as well as keeping up with the constant new (only money can buy) features.

The game was very enjoyable at the beginning, but all the 5 second delays on everything and the game lagging hard at times make it a hassle to get stuff done. And when you get to lvl 20, the difficulty spikes significantly basically feeding the urge to p2w. The game gets less enjoyable the farther you get because you will get to a point where you just leave the game and just come and check on it every once in a while.

They draw you with ads for hundreds of hero draws, but they only give you 1 every half hour, and the heros are in the same pool as every other item. Also in the most recent update, ( less than 10 days after I started ) there is seemingly no way to use those free draws anymore as the Gatcha is missing. The one upside is the tower defense style missions are interesting.

Unlike many similar games, F2P players cannot complete by effort alone. You go into it thinking, well everyone gets there eventually, and while that's 0, it would take 10+ years to max out without paying. There are charts of the cost to upgrade to the best hero/chief gear, heros, 5 star, and badges. Check those out before playing, because it's not realistically obtainable without blowing a year's income, creating a huge imbalance in players and interest over time.

It has alot of interesting things and can be really fun at times. Yet, those things are hugely overshadowed by the fact that this game's makers try to get into your pocket at every turn. You acheive something in the game and, do you want to purchase this. You made a huge milestone and, would you like to purchase that. It's constant. The only true edge you can truly achieve in the game is made trough payments or excessively long time. Also allow puzzle pieces to be recycled.

Its not like the add. Free to play, but not enjoy. Everything lil thing to move up you MIGHT get in the game, but think years. Its descent game but loaded with logistic problems. They try to keep it fresh with new things but if you dont have the $ to spend it make these events worthless and un-enjoyable They have a week long event now. 2 days in and its poinless to play because its too expensive to get the things needed. You can play for free, but never willbe able to progress at a good rate.

Played for about 3 hours in total. Got to level 7 outpost. The game is not aggressive with micro transactions, so big plus there. I understand and respect that free-to-play games need to make money, and SoS does not pinch your purse (at least not in the way early game, can't speak for late-game) The issue is the core gameplay loop. It gets repetitive fast and it's not engaging enough to hold me. P.S. 1 star off for deceptive advertising. The game is not a survival RPG like some ads will show.

People could mention that these games might be enjoyable to them, but that the ads are nothing like the gameplay. So if you're interested in what the gameplay looks like based on the add. DO NOT INSTALL! If you try it, there are some ok qualities. I've tested it for a long time actually, but it gets a bit repetitive and it can become a bit of a cash grab. But of course you can grind and do stuff without giving away your hard-earn $.Really.The ad is clickbait,Play is not at all like the ad!

After a days worth of play, the p2w model becomes very apparent, and I quickly decided to delete. You can tell they're hiding something by their lack of actual game screens on their download page, and while the whole thing does have a decent art style, it doesn't do much to disguise their money making scheme. I'd rate it 1 star, but like I said, the art style is pretty nice, but it's a shame they had to waste it on a microtransaction fest. 2/5.

I played for about a week. It's generic. You wait increasing amounts of time for things to get finished and you occasionally click for resources. There's no danger with zombies. And you're supposed to attack other survivor settlements and alliances? You know, like every other "clash of clans" etc style game. Then you get to a point where you mindlessly collect day after day or you start paying money to get somewhere. Their responses to reviews are just copy and paste scripts.

The ads that you see about customizing a base, having tower defense elements, collecting resources in the wild, are a lie. You do have a base, but you can only choose where to place buildings inside it. Nothing on the outside and there's no tower defense gameplay or anything strategic so nothing about placement matters on the inside. And to top it off, microtransactions to hell. And to ensure you constantly spend, more resource types every major update.

Free to play but not free to be competitive. Everything in the game is based around money. I've been playing for years and every event is the same. Each week, every holiday the same old thing. I would of quit a long time ago if I didn't get in a good state or in one of the top 3 alliances. But lately the game has become really shady with prizes in these events. Joker, lucky ticket, and aircraft. Maybe stop spending so much time on thinking of ways to make money, and fix the issues with the game.

I enjoyed this game mainly for the interaction with other people aspect. If you want to just play and not be competitive, this is a decent game. Unfortunately, in order to be competitive in pretty much any way, you have to pay $$$. During the later stages, if you are a F2P player, it takes months to upgrade from one level to the next unless you are extremely lucky due to the limited supply gathering that is required for EVERY SINGLE upgrade.

I, like others, was drawn in by the 777 free draws. Lo and behold, the hero Lucky is indeed locked behind a top-up, and the game gets really boring really quickly. Also, I'm not sure if you have to meet a certain requirement to unlock the pulling system, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I only played for about 30 minutes, and it got super repetitive and predictable. There's nothing special about it imo. They shape it up and praise it to be a glorious game, but it falls severely short.

I was drawn in by the ads promising 777 free draws and the free character "Lucky." Of course, the ad promises were too good to be 0. First, I only received 400 draws, and most of the items were just resources. Second, the "free" Lucky character isn't really free. You have to buy something to get the character free. The ads don't mention that. As for the game itself, it has some cool elements, but it's really just another cut and paste fortress-building game. Boring.

This is certainly a pay-to-win game. If you don't invest the $$$, then you will have invest weeks of time to level up -- it just depends on what your time is worth. Also, the %time spent fighting zombies is far less than the endless hours and clicks of the finger spent growing resources, training troops, upgrading various buildings/facilities. Ok, if that's your bliss. I found it tedious, boring. Graphics are good for an app. As other players can invade your premises, joining an Alliance is mand

Game has gone from something enjoyable for everyone to a game you can't do well in without spending a ton or playing every waking moment. it's been bought out twice since I started playing and the new owners always add things that make it impossible for a casual player. **New characters each month with stats that start out higher than the player you've just spent your rent to level up. Tons of extra weapons and training that can't be achieved unless you sell them your firstborn.

I hate hate hate the ads for this game. They are everywhere and they are so annoying. The live actors are terrible! And then the ads are super long, and they don't just end, there's a fake mini demo at the end that makes you go to the play store. If you leave it alone there's a tiny arrow you have to hit and then after that there's another 4 seconds of waiting and a tiny x you have to hit or gets taken to play store. Whoever does your marketing should be fired and leave the industry.
