This game is a lot of fun and extremely addictive. However, it can also be infuriating! I would easily rate it 5 stars, except there have been so many instances where coming back from an ad causes the game to freeze. with no option but to force close and relaunch, causing lost matches, streaks, and potential rewards. Still pretty fun, though.
Hello This is Wallacehat Level 979 in Grandmaster on my way to No. 1 - again. I’m going to start with an apology for all of those who have just joined this game in the last few months. This game used to be achievable, they used to give great rewards, it used to have big gold pots, and I used to be able to decimate all. I apologize because after becoming number one twice, the developers have come up with ways to short change me. Slow me down. Reducing gold awards by almost a third. Reducing multipliers by half. Glitching the game out when I have a stack of giants about to crush my opponent only to say “protected“ which never seems to be the case when I do not have a stacked army about to decimate all. it’s OK, progress is a little slower, but I’ve destroyed these AI players at least 10 to 15 times each. I’m unstoppable. Inevitable. I can’t wait to see what their next “update“ brings, as it seems like they can’t stop me, so they just keep trying to come up with ways to make the game less enjoyable, and unfortunately that punishes you all. Good luck. On my way to the top.
4 to 5 stars if this would be fixed. I've cleared anything in the background and notifications. After watching ads about 50 to 75% of the time the game reboots. Majority of the time it's when your getting your rewards. Once it reboots you don't get them. So the battle you were in was useless. Which is infuriating! I should not have to reboot my phone every time I decide to open the app up either. SMH Rather than that it's a good game.
In general it's a fun game. It is not reliable. I have yet to be able to start an event on time, always getting "whoops, something went wrong." Also, I think it's not great that buying the season pass doesn't guarantee unlocking the new character. They want you to spend even more money on card packs. The premium track should contain enough blueprints. Lastly, the game doesn't seem to scale very well. Earning enough gold for 1 upgrade in the 50s can take multiple rounds.
great for a little. this is really fun the first few weeks, then the difficulty scale goes wild. no more loot modifiers and more losses than wins by a large scale. you can't upgrade if you don't win and the defense side is heavily stacked after those few weeks. It went from exciting to demoralizing in a flash. That being said, it's a really fun start
This game is fun and worth playing. With that said, the reason I give it 3 stars is the fact that the "season" rewards aren't included in the premium pass. They offer the pass at a $2 discount, but I feel like for $100 for the premium pass should include the season pass. I don't mind spending money on games especially if they are fun (which this one is) but asking for more money for the "premium rewards" after just giving you $100 for the premium pass is a little ridiculous. Fix that and 5 star
this is a fine game But it could be better. What basically just an app filled with ads literally everything is as the only way to get around that is the plan airplane mode but then you don’t even get the full game experience because I want you to watch the ads. The other thing is it will randomly shut off in the middle of a battle. Like this will happen multiple times will be like in the middle battle about winning the game of but it could be better. Like other reviewer‘s of stated this is basically just an app filled with ads literally everything is as easy the only way to get around that is the plan airplane mode but then you don’t even get the full game experience because I want you to watch the ads. The other thing is that this game will randomly shut off in the middle of a battle. Like this will happen multiple times will be like in the middle battle about winning the game of crash and clothes. It’s fine like it is a good game but we need it like put actual more efforts into making it enjoyable for the playery
I’ve had this game for awhile now. I put 3 stars because it is honestly one of my favorite games but, with that comes a lot of difficulties. I’ve tried to just enjoy the game and deal with the issues but it really has gotten worse and worse. First, as you see in every other review the amount of ads are absolutely ridiculous. If they could put one in the middle of a game I think they would. Second, I can play the game for maybe a good 30 minutes and it will overheat my phone and begin to glitch me out. At that point I must wait for my phone to cool and even then I usually don’t play again until the next day because it’s frustrating especially when playing the piggy race. Lastly has just happened, I had to update the game - big mistake. I now open the app and it at first glitched the piggy race I couldn’t see my progress or anyone for that matter. I could still play but it would not show the piggy race progress. Now the app is completely glitched. I can’t play or press anything. It only shows my level/building. Truly loved this game but at this rate I’m getting ready to erase it. Too many issues that honestly I haven’t seen any other app do. And clearly no matter how many updates nothing is going to fix it.
Fun little game, and easy to get ahead with a few ad multipliers. I've been playing just over a week and am halfway up the ranks. The ads after every match though are horrible, even if they are only 5 seconds, when ones pop up with 2 or 3 X's it can take as long as a multiplier ad! If you remove them or even every 3rd match, people are still going to watch ads to get ahead so it could be reworked.
This game is really fun. I'm enjoying playing it, I keep playing it. This game loses 1 star because it's definitely another pay to win/power up that has a leader board and Seasons of play that I really don't need it want in my mobile games. It loses 1 more star because there are So. Many. Ads. Between every battle, ad. The battles only last 1-2 minutes, then, bam, unskipable ad. You can watch ads to gain boosts and multipliers which is fine because you don't HAVE to watch those.Their optional
in the most recent patch, dev took away the ability to retry a level more then once by watching an ad. previous versions allowed unlimited retrieve by watching ads. current version allows one retry by watching an ad, then forces you to use "tickets" which you have to purchase via app. this really alters game play progress. It becomes much more of a "Pay to Win" as opposed to "free ton play with ads" game.
There are TOO MANY ADS for this game and FAR TOO LONG (more than 50 seconds). It's killing the fun and I'm reaching a point of just deleting this. Especially when slapped with an ad in another language "REALLY!!?" You're expecting someone to just sit through it without understanding it. Even the pricing for the extras are outrageous. I watched a few ads and wasn't rewarded because the app restarted, on numerous occasions, so I don't watch the ads any longer (that's too convenient). Check reviews
I give this a 3 because this is a great game, but I can't stand ads. Not only do they exist, but you offer them to multiply rewards. And even when multiplied rewards are refused, you show an ad anyway. Might as well give me some kind of reward just for the troubles. The biggest one is having an ad playing on the side of the game. Completely distracting me and interrupting any music I have in the background. Edit: this is for your ads in other games closing that game, and forcing your game open.
Good game, but way too many 30-second ads. Screws up momentum during games and it gets to the point that it's OBVIOUSLY all about the ads, not the game. Finally just walked away from daily use, maybe once a week, if that, now. ALSO, your ads deletes our winnings whenever a very tiny "x" is impossible to push unless you push it and the ad which removes us from the game. I'll take a break and see if Phillips ad and others are still there, else, I can't play game.
(edit-Used to enjoy the game, and gave it 5 stars, but now too often an ad restarts the game in the middle of a run. Also used to be able to continue a run multiple times until you complete it, but now can only continue once without having to pay. ) Enjoy the game very much. Ads are regular and expected, but usually only 15 seconds long, with occasional longer ones. You can watch an ad each run for extra fighters on your side, which is occasionally necessary to win the level.
I've played this game nearly every day for about 2 months and got up to divine tier. It's a fun time-waster game that has nice and easy upgrades to achieve. However, it gets repetitive. I almost never lose a battle anymore unless 2 specific maps randomly generate. It's also a total ad-heavy cash grab. Everything it suggests is something to spend money on. Lastly, you reach a point where your brick bank doesn't cover the cost of upgrades so it gets annoying to have to space out your upgrades.
Game is decently entertaining, but freezes far too frequently. From what ive gathered from other players, this has been an issue for quite some time. If you're not going to tackle the freezing issue, you need to add the ability to resume non-live battles after restarting the app. When ive spent earned currency to start an event mission and thats all lost because it froze, and me restarting counts as a failure, it drives me to not want to play anymore.
Honestly would be a 5 if it weren't for how intrusive the ads are. I don't mind watching a quick ad between rounds but the ones that pop up in the middle of games are too much. Interrupts any music you're listening to as well. And you might as well use the ad multiplier at the end of each round. You're forced to watch most of the ad regardless.
If repetitive cycles of win/loss that make no sense based on player stats is your thing, this is the game for you. Stats/power/upgrades don't matter. You win 6-8 levels in a row, then lose 2. Rinse and repeat. If junk game mechanics are your desire, you've found the perfect game. Champions take 12 seconds to load and release, except when the game gets glitchy (which is often) then they take 20 seconds or more to load up
lower levels, the game is a great time waster. As you progress in the game, the ads will become more and more intrusive. The game will repeatedly ask if you want to play ad free for a fee. It's seems that if you click no, the game sends more and more ads at you. Ads will even pop up during game play and block part of the screen. The only way I've found to avoid the ads is by turning off your wifi/internet connection.
This should allow 0 stars. The game is a bad joke. the "enemy" towers spit out more enemies than you can counter randomly, the "better" cannons (Lucky shot especially) are exponentially worse than the previous cannons, even at higher levels, your mobs level means nothing. Perhaps the most aggregious is that the game will force you to "fight" the same opponent 3, 4, or more times in a row, on the same map. There is no matching algorithm.. avoid this game
Had a "data error" and my points were not being added to the scoreboard. Restarting the app and my phone did not help so I un-installed and reinstalled the game and lost 2 months of progress. Once I learned I could not recover it, I canceled my subscription. I refuse to go through the grind again. Fix your data issues. This one cost you a paying customer.
The game itself is pretty fun, but... They have a mini game that lets you collect loot per level. I was at a hard level and lost, and it gave me the option to revive. It said if I quit, I would lose the loot FOR THAT LEVEL with pics of the loot specific to that level. Since it said that, I assumed I would keep the loot from previous levels and chose to quit instead of trying again. Then it told me I had to pay $0.99 to keep the loot from previous levels!! I'm furious about the deception.
I've had it for almost 2 weeks now and at first it's great. Now every single battle is lost. I can only go against more leved opponents and can't chose otherwise. It's so aggravating to lose every single match. I can't level up my guys since I can't win. And you have to have network connection to play. Not horrible but it sucks. I was hoping it would turn out good but it was a complete let down.
Advertisements, advertisements, advertisements, it does not end. It would be O.K. if you had to watch an ad for something important, like extra coins, or credits, etc,etc. But watching a half minute ad for an in-game power up... Ridiculous even more so when you beat a level they force you to watch an advertisement. It takes one out of the game. Sucking the fun out of it as well. I played it for ten minutes, which I wish I could have back, so goodbye! Uninstalling.
The amount of times there are too many enemies on the screen to the point the game starts freezing is frustrating. When it freezes that bad, the enemies pass right through your guys and multiplier gates don't work for you causing you to lose no matter how good you are. As addictive as this game is, it's a giant pile of 💩. Save yourself the frustration and play something else not made by this company. Update: The game is still a lagging hot mess, extremely repetitive, with little to no updates!
Recent update changed how the cannons are chosen. Before, once you unlocked a cannon you could choose to use it. Each player could choose which they preferred. I was able to put up a decent win rate with my favorite cannon. Now that the choice of cannons are randomized and it’s a pure money grab for ad revenue. Yeah there were ads before but this just increased it tenfold. You need booster packs to get cards to be able to use more advanced cannons, the packs are random and each card is one time use of that cannon. You can not change the order of the cannons, what ever card is on top is the choice. Now you can random win a pack at the end of a level, but you have to win to get that far. Otherwise you have to watch ads to get more packs. Depending on the level, the type of cannon, winning can be hard, to the point where you need to max the level of each cannon. Unless you grind cash(and watch ads to increase winnings) you will end up watching another add for each level on each cannon. 99 levels for each cannon. Once you start losing, you’ll quickly run out of cards and need to watch ads to not use the basic cannon. When winning, it’s ok to put up with the frequent ads, but now to increase the number of ads you have to watch while decreasing the win rate, and this casual game just found it’s way to the trash.
The game is fun but everything else around user experience is either a disappointment, off putting or flawed. My first issue with the app is that it crashes on my iPhone 13 at least once a day. The Ads on there are the most off putting. Not in the amount of them but the actual content of their ads - it’s clear they don’t moderate them or they don’t care. Some of them will put a fake X in the corner of the screen for you to click on so instead of exiting the ad you are just brought to download their game. They advertise for games with women characters in suggestive positions. There’s also an ad that starts off with a woman climbing up the side of a cliff and the first frame of the ad is just her behind CLAPPING in tight shorts jiggling on the screen. Then she climbs the cliff to fight zombies. But the MOST offensive part is now they are running ads that will not allow you to mute the sound on your phone and it will not let you turn down the volume manually. To be more specific I just had an ad for a fish game and the app REFUSED to let me manually turn it down. As I was holding the volume down button on my phone I watched the volume meter go down and then forcibly be brought back up to a baseline volume on my screen. I’ve never had an Ad experience like this before and I hope to never again. Do yourself a favor and download a different app. There’s others out there just like this but with better mindfulness of their users and ads.
Game still has bugs...MAJOR BUG!!! It is a fun game but...I can not play anymore. Every time I turn the game on it tells me that people have attacked my base and I am losing items and it shows my base being damaged...that is it. I can not do anything. I restarted the game a dozen times...I restarted my phone...no improvement. I am uninstalling the game. Don't waste your time...go watch grass grow or paint dry instead. I have a Samsung S20.
Ad, ad, ad, AD, AD! There is LITERALLY a 30 - 45 second ad after every run, many of which have an additional 10-15 second follow up. Some even have A THIRD pop-up after you click the x. The Pinterest ones are the WORST as they force you out of the app, opens a new tab in your browser, and is nearly impossible to close the first three tries. DO NOT INSTALL
