I bought this from a second hand store without even knowing exactly what it was. $10 very well spent. The variety of fun this awesome ball packs is amazing. Different drive modes, all kinds of games to play through the app and endless amounts of play time. Battery life is better than expected with it being tiny. You can interchange the skins also. I love love love it.

The steering is a little clunky but easily manageable. If you have cats, rats, or ferrets, it's a must. Truly endless hours of fun. Also, it's cheap in terms of cost yet very durable. I have had mine for 3 years now, and it is going strong. I will, in all honesty, say it's a good buy. I highly recommend it.

Great app, includes 3 games to play using your robot as a controller, and supports 6 Sphero robots (BOLT+, BOLT, Mini, SPRK+, SPRK, and Sphero 2.0). When using the app, it works best with Sphero Mini, but my preference for Sphero Play is BOLT. In most cases, you should get EDU or EDU Jr, but for playing around, get Sphero Play.

So fun I personally have so much fun with robots but this... is the best! I have a dash from dash and Dot. But then I noticed sphero. As I was opening the box I noticed a few things that came with it. It has some maze tape, some stickers, an app to download for games, and more. Once I started using sphero with this app I had so much fun. My 2-year-old sister was scared of other robots but this robot is perfect for everyone from one year olds to about 90-year-olds. Robot is suggested!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works great on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because I just miss the original app for my Sphero 2.0 😭 Much more interactive and made our little ball of joy feel more alive with levelling up and unlocking skills. Please consider optimising the original app devs. I miss the cute sounds she made.

The app is well made, it would be nice if we could skip the startup screen via an option somewhere. It would also be nice if the joystick mode had an option to make the blob actually stay in one place like a real joy stick. Other than that, it's great, simple, and fun.

It works great but my Sphero Mini's gyroscope won't work properly when attempting to play a game. Also, when using the app for a while, and the golf steering mode, I have noticed that the app becomes so painfully laggy that I have to close the app out and reopen it. Is there any way to fix these issues? I don't have a second device, and I am using a Samsung Galaxy j7 v (if either of those are important)

It works fine on the LG app phone, but is horrible on my Samsung phone. I tried everything I could. I even contacted their customer service help. I can't get any of the other "drives" to work, just the basic one. It's fine, but I wonder what the rest do? Cats & dogs enjoy this, but ate often afraid of it. I wish this app worked on my Samsung sad face.

Alright app. You don't get many options, I believe because it's an Apple device. It is difficult to get to work on your Samsung, as I have read. You have to allow everything. Which means that you may have to "hunt" down the permissions in your BT program as well as some others, even nearby share. Anyhow, works alright for the device, once it gets "acclimated". Cute. Almost worth the purchase. Very fun for a bit too.

This app is passable. It connects to the sphero mini I got second-hand, and it lets me control it, but I am BEGGING the designers of the app to add an option to remove the animations. Every animation is really flashy and slow, and makes the app artificially slow, and difficult to use. For example, reorienting the sphero is something that needs to be done very frequently when playing with it, but when you tap the button to reorient, a several second long animation playes before and after.

Miss the old app. It had so much more for the kids to do. They especially miss the nuke and farting emote. New app only lets you have basic driving options or games. New app loses the kid fun. Glad it works for both our orginal sphero. But again the old app was better. Please re add the old fun bits from the old app and then this would be a definitive improvement. Email sent July 14 2020. Fingers crossed

Useless for using our older Sphero 2.0 as it never connects. Strangely the EDU program connects fine so it's clearly a software issue which has persisted for the longest time across multiple phones. I can find and connect to the Sphero via Bluetooth without an issue. Opening the app presents the options to connect with 2.0/Spark being tiny text. Going through that process fails to work as it doesn't seem the Sphero as connected.

Garbage. Gives you four options to choose your device, and if yours isn't listed you're SOL. It's also one of those nasty little apps that hijacks your screen, so you can't back out or close out without turning your phone off. Immediately uninstalled.

Cannot use augment reality apps, it should have a dual joystick drive option, app is very basic. Sphero is a Great idea, doesn't seem to be very well implemented? Connectivity loses easy and takes awhile to connect. You lose connectivity if you move outside of the app or minimise. A sell point on the box is 30 free apps and augmented reality, how can we access this? Can you answer please?
