I've played a few free Rusty Lake games and wanted something longer so bought this. I thought that the story was able to develop more with a longer game, but I still wish it went deeper for more engagement. Similar themes as other games but almost all of the puzzles had different mechanics and kept me challenged. I enjoyed playing at night before bed to relax. Leave the theme song on for a bit, reminds me of Laura's Theme. Btw Twin Peaks vibes are especially strong in this one. Ty RL! <3

An intriguing game with an incomprehensible narrative that's fun to play. The strange characters are whimsical and add to the enjoyment, and while the puzzles are challenging, they are all solvable. It can take a while to figure out what they require of you. Overall, a solid recommend, on par with others in the Rusty Lakes canon.

A must for any Rusty Lake fans - one of the most atmospheric, creepy but also rewarding games in the series that adds to the lore of the wider Rusty Lake story. The soundtrack is great, the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging and there is a decent amount of gameplay to enjoy across the ten stages of the game. Absolutely love this series - much imitated, never bettered. Rusty Lake is the best puzzle series out there IMO. Well worth your money!

This game is absolutely fantastic. The style is creepy and fun, the puzzles are tricky but not impossible, and the atmosphere is so good! Some puzzles can be a little tedious with going back and forth and i recommend having somewhere to write things down if possible, but honestly that makes it more satisfying when you complete them. Well worth the money!

I love the style and the puzzles are very imaginative. The graphic design paired with the intriguing story line throughout all the games certainly makes you want to keep playing. I appricate the darker elements of these puzzles games too, so original. I've now played all and I'm hoping they develop some more but in the mean time I'm going back to discover achievements I've missed, another great aspect of the game play. Maybe the next games could consider multipul choice/alternate endings?

I love this serious of games. They are very dark and have some content that I wouldn't say is for everyone, but it's part of its charm. The puzzles can be pretty hard but they have walkthroughs and a discord if you want answers. I always wish they had a hints option though because I don't just want the answer, I just need a small nudge in the right direction. Overall, a great game though. The art style is so cool.

If you find a lot of escape games to be easy, you need to check this one out. The puzzles aren't completely obvious. They also don't rely on tactics like making items really hard to see. Many developers do that to slow down the pace of the game. The Rusty Lake and Cube Escape series never seem to do that and it's appreciated.

Not much to add to what others have said - all games by RL are awesome. Just adding my vote for hints: the walkthrough is great but it gives the solution, whereas I would appreciate the opportunity to figure it out myself. I recall one RL free game where you had the option to watch an add to get a hint (not a solution!) - I wish this we're added to the paid versions as well. Keep up the great work, RL team!

I preordered, n got my notifications that game was available. The iPhone I was on at time even gave me alert, tho I purchased the preorder from another iPhone. When I checked, my other iPhone as well as my tablet had the cloud icon, showing it had been already paid. But the phone I was using when alert came said $2.99 still. I wanted it on that device, but was afraid I'd be charged n at moment, I honestly can't even afford another measly $3 bucks to deal w/even if refunded eventually. Can you help me out? The fact I had clouds on my other 2 devices (all my same acct), I didn't want to chance the whole not knowing if it will say 'you already purchased, so u won't be charged again' bit, or just ding and say !done' with a checkmark, only to find out later that I was charged another $3. My phones are both iPhone 7+'s. Any other time it always reflects on all 3 devices no matter which one I actually purchase app? My settings are just set to NOT auto download on all devices, since my storage varies on all 3 n just the one is main iPhone, but it still always reflects I've purchased it by showing the cloud icon on all my devices, but just isn't on that particular device. I know it's brand new app, n patience for some bugs n kinks, but I just wanna know if since I happened to preorder on the phone NOT my main device, if now I cannot own it on that one, unless I buy it again. Thx Hi! Please email us at [email protected] then we will fix this for you right away.

worth all 300 pennies. After playing through the Cube Escape games I had to continue the journey and oh my God was it worth it. some of the puzzles were a bit of a drag due to the distance between the clue and the puzzle but that can be solved by drawing it out on a piece of paper which gives that good old puzzle game vibe to it sometimes but other times it got a little bit annoying. Regardless however, this is a phenomenal story that adds to the game franchise as a whole. Wait to play the next!

I downloaded a random cube escape game when searching for a "point and click" game, and instantly fell in love with the series. As someone who went to school for creative writing and art, I love the weird story and the art style. Playing through the series has helped my anxiety at night when I can't sleep. Now I've played all the free and premium ones (and I NEVER purchase games or take the time to review apps). Can't wait to see what you come out with next!

Great game series...only for this version, Paradise, I am almost to the end...grandma calling with the mist horn...and the game is crashing by the end of the first tap. So I cannot make it to the end...up until this point, the game has been terrific! New and tricky puzzles, but I was able to solve every chapter without hints and by working w bit with trial and error. Clever moments...fireflies took some good observations, as did some of the other clues and tasks. Helps that I expected the bizarre. Fix the crash, and the game is worth every little penny! And then 5 stars! Update: latest update fixed the crash at the locusts. Now I am happy;-) btw...if you are expecting a linear storyline, or a pretty and quaint game, or even realistically violent, (although it is not a game for the squeamish) this is NOT a game for you. It is bizarre, gothic, quirky, and unique. Sorry for the trouble! We have worked on a fix for a week, please update to version 1.62 it should work now. If something does happen; please switch graphics to low in settings. Let us know if you experience any issue after updating: [email protected].

I normally don't like things that are creepy and bizarre but Rusty Lake has such a wonderful and unique way of presenting things... with their terrific graphics and deadpan humor... it all becomes delightful. I actually had moments of gasping and laughing out loud... no small feat for a computer game. Like many others, I started with the Cube Escape series, an incredibly generous free offering (thank you RL!), and have been a fan ever since. This game is another great one! I also wish it were longer because it's so good. The playing level is not too hard overall for experienced gamers but I did need help at a couple of places.... mostly with a couple of the mini games (like the vegetable patch) because I just couldn't grasp the logic and got frustrated with so much trial and error. (There's a handy in-game walkthrough for each level.) Aside from that, I had a ball living in this moody world for a while, and solving all the different puzzles. Really fun! Thanks, Rusty Lake!

First, I want to say thank you to the hardworking developers that have allowed me to enjoy countless hours of fun, creative thinking, a little frustration at times, but overall a truly enjoyable gaming experience. I first completed all of the FREE cube escape games and loved every single one. I don’t usually spend money on games but I had to for Rusty Lake because I knew the type of game it was going to be and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely worth the money. But - in my opinion, and I see others have felt the same, some of the mini games and puzzles were either too easy or just plain hard and I had to consult the walkthrough. My favorite part of the game are the mini games and I kept waiting for that really fun one like all the cube escape ones had. But anyway, I love the game, love the whole Rusty Lake story, and look forward to buying the next one (which I’m gonna do right now). Again, if you are looking for a fun and exciting game that will keep you engrossed for hours - this is it. I suggest trying some or ALL of the FREE Rusty Lake cube escape games first so you can get the feel for what kind of game it is and how to play it because it’s unlike any game out there. Thanks for reading!!

This is my #2 favorite Rusty Lake game (#1 is Roots). The story is well written and presented. You again get to know this creepy family and their history. My biggest complaint is how much you have to go back and forth through the winding pathways. It's a lot of clicking that takes away from the game play. If the layout were different, it'd easily be 5 stars.

It's a great atmosphere, a decent narrative, and the good twisted content I've come to expect from this group, but the only hint system is a non-timestamped walkthrough you have to spend your time poring through, facing ads even if you paid for the game. And sometimes, the answers are too random or counterintuitive to guess, or just too hard to see on a phone, so you can't avoid it.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit, but it did touch a little too much on my squick factors with some stuff (the outhouse, for instance). I'm used to there being a degree of that in these games, but it felt a little excessive in this one. Other than that, it was an interesting way to tell the story and left me wanting to continue to the next chapter after I completed each one!

I liked the game, but I give 4 stars of 5 only because I got tired of walking here and there along the path, from one building to another,to get clues. Especially the level with constellations. Had to walk the path tens of times to remember them....the rest is great as always. Puzzles are of different levels, some easy, some hard.

I ended up binging all the Rusty Lake games. If them all, this is my least favorite, but it's still really good. What I didn't like was how spread out it was. For most Rusty Lake games, the puzzles are compressed into a single space, like a room. But this has a whole map to move through, and the puzzles require a lot of back and forth. Other than that, I liked it. The puzzles varied from easy to difficult and added yet another layer to the Rusty Lake lore.

I loved the Cube Escape series but was reluctant to purchase the Paradise based on some of the reviews. I decided to try it because I thought “how different could it be when I really liked all other games by them?” Well this one is truly the least favorite of mine. Like others said, there is a lot of going back and forth and again and again on the map. The puzzles look like they were developed without much thought. I just kept randomly clicking on some of the puzzles because they were underwhelming and I still was able to solve some of them that way. Some same graphics were used from their other games... all the voice overs even for the female characters were recorded by males for some reason....storyline was not captivating to say the least. I LOVED their games such as Roots and Paradox and I’m not sure what happened here... like all the captivating storyline and thoughtful puzzles they used to have were not present, and this game really focused on stabbing and killing different animals and bugs crawling out of peoples noses.... and that’s basically it. I’m hoping the developers take this into consideration for the next games. We're sorry to read that you didn't enjoy Paradise as much as the other releases you played from us! We really appreciate you trying it out and leaving your honest opinion and feedback. Thank you for your ongoing support! We will keep this in mind when working on upcoming games.
