very useful. The filtering usage helps narrow down what your preference is and singles out anything not required in your criteria
Just a couple of points….Mr Rightmove, as I am currently looking for a new home. However while you are, by far the best property app, you do require some servicing and the need for some finer adjustments. Please can you add a separate view all properties under the branch after you have selected a property, this would really help locality searching. You also need to add a separate EW1 tab, so you can either add this as a m search feature or not. I presume this would help all Estate Agents out and would save so much time and effort, to help either mortgage homeowners or investors narrow down there search (perfect for city centre searching!). And finally can you have a word and sort your GDPR issue. If I ask for no marketing, I don’t expect the estate agent after requesting a viewing to be property firing my email everyday. It clearly states do you want marketing from the agent yes or no, ticking no and your still bombarded.. thanks in advance Mrs Covid. Hello, Thank you for leaving us a 5-Star review and for your suggestion. We are always looking at ways to improve our features within My Rightmove and will pass your feedback to our developers. Whilst we cannot make any promises, feedback is taken on board when looking at future developments. once logged in and learned how to use this app, it was invaluable in finding our new home. we had various searches set around the country, using filters to narrow down properties that were of interest to us. fully recommend
I spend so much time on this app I wish I could get paid to do it but there’s something that really annoys me and that’s when agencies select the wrong Property type for their listings. If I’m looking for a detached, I’m clearly not interested in apartments or semi/terraced and yet, there they are, clear as a picture (well, it actually is a picture!) the house I’m looking at, is “stuck” to another. It would be good if there was a button to flag inaccuracies. While I appreciate that it would take time to review them, an agency that always publishes tweaked details just to get another click should be persecuted. I mean… notified (and maybe also persecuted ;) ). By the by, I’m available for the role of Agency Monitoring Officer. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for sharing this with us. We do encourage the estate agents that advertise on Rightmove, to ensure they select the correct property type. We do have a dedicated team that ensures the quality of our data on Rightmove. If you feel there are properties on Rightmove incorrectly advertised, please do send them to us at [email protected]. If there's anything else I can help with, please do get in touch. Many thanks, Rightmove
I really like this app. It’s easy to use, functional and pulls from a number of different agents to create a good picture of availability. It would be really helpful to be able to create a list in the saved property section. I’m looking to move for work and have a pretty wide search area, it would be great to be able to use a list function for houses in particular areas, e.g. ‘Houses in area A’, ‘Houses to view’ or ‘House that meets 4/5 criteria’ I also use Rightmove to save properties that I love even if I’m not necessarily looking to move there. The ability to name lists would allow me to see at a glance what’s on my ‘lottery list’! And what is actually a viable option. Hi. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are really pleased you find our app easy to use. I will pass your feedback over so our development teams so they can look into this as an enhancement for our 'My Rightmove' account. Happy home hunting. Many thanks, Rightmove.
Great app! I'm a complainer and yet I'm impressed! I will still complain :) 1. I missed the ability to hide listings I was not interested in, like on Spareroom 2. Filters harmonisation. Searching from the map drawing shows far less filters than the main search. One has to save the search by naming it, then go to Home, then saved searches, and then all the filters show up. If it is too expensive or resource consuming, to implement, at least show instructions. It took 3 days to discover this route
This is a really lovely app for finding properties, but I wish they would add a feature to it: I wish they would add a notes section where you can make a note on the properties you've saved. This would be a note only you can see. "Rang them. Property no longer available. " "Viewing Tuesday at 2" "Conservatory, but no pets allowed." That would be really helpful.
overall pretty good, I like the map feature the most. I just wish when filtering out house shares it also filtered out "house of multiple occupency" listing. I'd also like to be able to report mislabeled listing. and the ability to follow letting agencies on mobile would be a good feature as well.
Why on the website can you scroll through pictures without having to go to the details of the property, but you can’t on app? Why on website can you scroll between the 1st and last photos but on app you have to go all the way back through every photo to get to 1st one again? Why did I set up instant email alerts on my search only to find when I logged on at 10pm there were three new properties for which I had received no notifications? If you miss clicking the email alert button when you save search there is no option to do this at a later date, the search has to be deleted and filled out again. All in, a good app, but a couple of small changes would make it easier for those of us looking at a wide area and having to scroll through thousands of photos. Hello, Thank you for leaving us a review. I have passed these suggestions to our developers so that they can consider this feedback when looking at future developments. If you'd like to discuss anything further, please do get in touch at [email protected] or call us on 01908 712300. Many thanks, Rightmove.
Its a really good app thats nice to use but one letdown is the distance checker. I've set the search to five miles from my chosen location but it will still show me properties that are eight or eleven miles away. Doesn't make sense. But apart from that, it is a really good app. Would recommend.
Super app and good notifications for new houses coming on the market. However, there is a missing search filter function that needs to be added please. I would find it much easier to be able to combine the price with a search across the total square footage of a property. e.g 2000 square ft only within x £ price band. Another would be for a detached garage. If you added these then it would get 5 🌟 and make the app even more powerful when searching not just price, but liveable space.
One of the better apps. The only thing is, when you add a property to the enquiries list and/or send an email it still shows as says no message sent to the agent. So you lose track of who you've spoken to. But other a good app.
It is so annoying that you can't exclude all the online auction properties or the leasehold and part let pat buy properties. It would also help if you could choose which properties are unsuitable so you don't keep seeing them. it's easier just to check each estate agents page.
Missing so many features. just simply changing saved search to different price ranges requires deleting old ones and adding again. small number of searches to create. you can't use mapping area out in saved searches. Your not really offering new features on the app which is where my wife primarily check for new houses. using the he web I found houses the phones doesn't even show.
The app works mostly well. Unfortunately, I am unable to email any agent if I try to include a message. Whatever I type, the app refuses it by saying it cannot include links, html or email addresses. Needless to say I am not including any of this, but it does not seem to matter.
The app is overall great and so is the website yet there are a couple of things that make the house purchase process more difficult due to the lack of a few features, here are a few to mention: 1. A report button - many agencies would change the ad to be in their favour such as by saying the house is a freehold or not a sharehold (while in reality they write it in the description), it's a foul way of conducting a business and it is not done by mistake as it happens a lot
Eh, probly should give it less stars, but it is functional. I just find it clunky to use, descriptions should just expand instead of switching to a new page. There are MANY properties (not auctions) listed with minimum bid which aren't helping anyone except investors looking for a deal. There's no currency converter. If you're looking for a single family dwelling, it makes things more difficult than they need to be, and the last thing a home buyer needs is more stress & difficulty. *Shrug*
was great ... why do they constantly change the format.. was able to put in keywords in the search, and the properties were then displayed in order of what you want ... now the keywords seem to not work properly . Tried multiple times to put into the 3 item list of keywords.. none work .. STOP CHANGING GOOD APPS and making them less user friendly. If its not broke don't fix it was a great app b4 .. now frustrating 😑
This up has a great purpose and has a great features but WORKS HERRENDOYSLY BAD. It logs me out, resets password first after several attempts. It never accurately shows available properties on map (even if property is there on web page) It would be great to see app working properly.
doesn't do house prices.. which is really irritating if you do a search online for house prices and then click on the link for rightmove and it takes you ti the app... which does do house prices!!
Just stopped working and won't open, have done all the usual to try to fix, shame as liked it when it worked.
I'd say revise your UI. Don't use grey text on a white background. I'm seeing too much text on the screen, too many options before I can search. Refining a search is better but how about let me put my location and show me what's available? To be fair I mostly google locations + rightmove then begin refining the search. Hope that helps improves the overall feel of the app. Cheers.
unfortunately, the estate agents class a toilet and sink as a bathroom, so you get many properties listed, but they're not always 0.
Needs a filter option to hide Holiday Homes. I am looking through hundreds of potential homes in Cornwall but You are only allowed to live in about 5% of them because most of them (detached or bungalow) are on holiday parks / land. So it is a very long process to read every description to find out if you are actually allowed to live in the property.
I recently had to re-install the app and how the list of properties are displayed in the map view has changed. They are now displayed along the bottom instead of down the right side, which is not user friendly at all. It encroaches too much on the map and it is just unnatural to scroll through a list horizontally. In the previous version I am sure I was able to see more of the map and more properties down the side (I think the property thumbs have been increased in size too, making this even worse). You should at least make the list orientation an option. Not impressed at all. Some more detail: I am using the latest iPad Pro with keyboard so my screen orientation is horizontal. Having the list in map view down the right side (how it used to be) is much more natural as I can use my thumb to scroll the list while my hand naturally rests on the side of screen and my desk. This was much easier and less strenuous than having to now arduously hold my hand above the keyboard trying to swipe along the bottom of my screen horizontally. It is causing incredible strain in my wrist after a while. Also, because of screen orientation, having the list down the side produces a more square map which is much more useful when searching in a Radius around an area. Now you get this long thin strip of a map which is not the shape a map should be.
How can it be that I can't save my search because there are different property types? Sooo stupid and frustrating. If I were a landlord I'd list my property on another platform that's easy for tenants to use. Edit: Why would I waste my time reaching out to you? Just fix your app
I can no longer view photos in landscape mode using auto rotate on my phone which is very annoying when all your photos are landscape!
As I said in the previous review it ONLY shows the max properties. It should ALL properties up to that price. This is on both list and maps. Even when you click search this area it only shows the max. I'm not making stuff up, despite how much easier for the developers it would be if I was. You've essentially made it so the user can only search for one price.
Many listings are inaccurate, for example a listing saying it has a bath when it doesn't. I enquired to Rightmove about this and asked them if it was an app limitation or inaccurate listings. They said agents have the choice and are welcome to list it as having a bath even if it doesn't, as it's up to the agent. And if I had an issue I should contact trading standards. Really? Wow. Terrible approach to honestly when buying a property. Terrible.
