I enjoy the movies and shows. The navigation could use some improvement. If I am unable to watch the whole movie in one sitting when I return there's no "Continue Watching" section where my unfinished movies are listed. All movie apps have this except Pure Flix. This feature would make my life a lot easier. I lose a lot of time trying to find the movie that I want to finish watching.
App has trouble casting. I've been subscribed for a couple of years, and it's still hit or miss if I'll be able to cast. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times. Rebooted phone and Chromecast. Recently, when it does finally cast, the frames glitch, and the sound is not in sync. No complaints about the content, just the app.
Content is descent...some high rated shows, some low rated Lifetime style ones, but overall, it gets the message across. The app itself needs work...everytime I stop in the middle of a movie, exit the app, and re-enter, it says 'something went wrong'. No matter how many times I exit and reenter or click on another movie, it does the same thing. I'll clear my cache with no luck. Force stopping the app has worked so far but if I have to continue doing that, I'm canceling my subscription.
Pros Great family friendly content. Cons You have to sign in every time. The app on the TV will not stay logged in and there is no way to log in from your phone or computer for it to work on your TV. It takes 5 minutes or more at times to sign in. I can type easier on my phone. It cuts off in the middle of a show. By then you give up and find another streaming option.
Below Par... We just purchased the year subscription. The selections of movies and contents are nice. However, the app keeps crashing, whether we're connected to mobile data or using in-home WiFi interne. One of our TVs won't allow the App and has to use smartcast, and the audio sync keeps getting delayed; on both mobile data or home internet. It's a bit frustrating because we keep having to stop the movie, reboot, rewind, or close it out. Please get some better programmers for streaming.
The app has always been clunky, hard to find what I want or even what I was in the middle of watching, but suddenly now it will only play a few minutes at a time then pop up with an "error-something went wrong" message. Then it reminds you a few seconds, then plays a few seconds more before showing the error again. An hour into a movie and watching it in less that one minute increments isn't worth seeing the end. I like a lot of the content (some is very weird) but I'm not interested in only see
I enjoy the shows and knowing they will be if high moral standards, but the first year I used the app and now this year (after skipping a year) I'm still having so much trouble with the audio and video getting out of sync and having to rewind 10 seconds (about every 3-4 minutes) to keep it on track. As of right now, I'm on track for asking for a refund. SO frustrating!
I would love to give more stars since I've enjoyed all the movies but it constantly stops, restarts, or it says to retry or can't connect. Frustrating because i already paid for the year. Hope they fix it soon. 1/11/24 - decided to give this another try and it has not improved. Still has buffering issues, constantly pauses, and it takes a LONG time to connect. Will be canceling before my trial ends.
App is awful to try to use. After all this time why isn't it up to par? I watch a lot on my phone, not sure if I'll keep it for 12.99 a month only to have to keep reloading because player fails or it freezes. (7 or 8 times a movie) Super annoying. Movie selection is okay. Update the app if you wanna keep people. Please do not respond telling me to contact customer service.
Constantly getting an error while trying to watch Doc, tried 3 different devices, have spoken to support & all they could do was a temp fix. I am constantly clearing cache, clearing data & uninstalling & reinstalling. The problem isn't on my end, it isn't necessarily the app, it's one show, every episode, haven't had this issue with other shows or movies so far, but help desk person didn't seem to understand that. Extremely irritated.
Total disconnect between online web based service and the app. It's frustrating to say the least. 3x I have reset my password online and it doesn't filter through to the app. Lowering to one star because If you want to use the app and be supported, it only occurs between Monday through Friday between 6:00 and 6:00 mountain Time. look I want to support what you guys are doing. I really do but when I need help I need help. I can't get into my account and I'm paying for subscription I can't use.
There are some bugs that still need to be worked out. I sign in, and try to watch something and nothing plays for me. The list of favorites can only be accessed when I sign in to my computer, my Fire Stick and phone have it totally empty. I'm looking forward to when I can watch things on all three devices and not just my laptop. Also, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone 3 times.
After reading all of the reviews, I decided to give it a shot anyway. I signed up for the free trial and started to play the first show. It kept buffering and reloading only after 10 minutes of playing and just got worse. I'm playing this directly off of my Samsung Tv and not streaming it. It's so unbearable and frustrating that I will be canceling this subscription immediately. Apparently, they aren't getting the hint that this app is a piece of garbage, the reviews are accurate. 👎👎
This has to be the worst app I have ever used. It has now been 2 full weeks that it will not load the movies, gunny how after I paid for the full year subscription it doesn't work. Also you cannot talk to anyone in support except the same hours most of us are at work, Monday through Friday. I also have Netflix & have not ever had a problem with it!!!!!!!
Ever since Great American merged with PureFlix, the app has not worked right on any device. I have 7 different issues I'm dealing with. It's next to impossible to reach anyone at customer service. When I finally did, we've been troubleshooting for months. When I reached out to let them know (all communication has been email only) that this round didn't work again, the email inbox is full. I am beyond frustrated. Every form of communication to reach them doesn't work. And nothing is fixed.
Horrible streaming service!!Completely unwatchable!! Picture keeps briefly freezing every few seconds and the lips don't match the words (out of sync). It's not a connectivity issue (all my other streaming apps work perfectly). I tried everything your troubleshooting section said to do to correct the issue but it's not correcting the issue. Reading previous reviews I see others are have been having this exact same issue for months! I guess you just don't care enough to fix it. Cancelled!!
