Great app that pays me to shop. I love it. Also I can win points by rubbing my phone screen. I can use my points for treats and collect points in a few places. My points were recently stolen, Nectar were brilliant and gave me them back.
This was a useful app showing points and usage but as others have said in the past few weeks (December 2024)it's now impossible to log in as you always get an error message. Even if you try with a PC it doesn't work. Frustrating! Thankfully you can still collect points and use them with the card or if you know the number for Smart Shopping using the hand scanners.
useless app.. I don't use it from one month to the next and when I go on it to see how many nectar points I have it just says something went wrong try again later. Attempted to leave feedback but got the same stupid message of something went wrong.. no updates are required so its not that. just another useless frustrating app.
Useless Rubbish!! Have had a nectar card for ages, and now the app reckons my email isn't registered, even though it most certainly is!! Went through the process of re-setting up, only for it to come up with an error when I press the No button for Business notifications. Only wanted to check my points!! The continued ability of these companies to make apps more and more useless as time goes by never ceases to amaze me!!! Thanks for nothing!!! And don't ask me to contact your team, lost customer!
Trying to sign up a few times over the last fewmonths but it won't let me past the 'sign up for business' Nectar points section, it just tells me there is an error regardless of whether I answer yes or no. Tried tapping the 'chat to us button' but literally nothing happens. Pointless waste of time.
App always loses log in credentials when the phone updates and worse still the app does not work at all after the latest update. Uninstall and reinstall has no impact. Really disappointed as missed out on nectar savings at Sainsbury. Update - developer asked me get in contact (their preferred option = FB or X — not possible for me as I have no such accounts. So contacted them on the given email address only to get an automated response adviding that they no longer respond to emails - typical.
I didn't receive the discounts the App promised, and the App blocks screen shots, so i can't raise a complaint easily. Try harder. I asked support on FB if blocking screenhots was to protect them from being accused of a scam, and they went quiet...
The app and card are a complete sham, I registered a card many years ago and linked it to eBay. saved the points decide to use them, they show up as negative points, try to connect chat and they say I'm not the primary user, I'm the only one so what's the story here? can't tell me who is so now I'm going to have to use a GDPR request to get them to trigger my details as it's useless..
Can't get past "no business," in sign up, and then the chat doesn't work. round and round and round in circles, despite I have registered with nectar within sainsburys. Popups that are too fast to read concerning whatever it was; no idea as it disappeared in an instant. Sign up won't allow me to add the last digit to my mobile number, yet it tells me my mobile number is too short! Absolutely useless. uninstalled. Minus stars.
Pretty much a pointless app for me now. I used to get 15 to 20 points offers to choose from each week that were relevant to what I regularly buy. For a month or so now, I have received only 5 or 6 offers each week and those are for things I don't buy, so no extra points for me, thanks. My Nectar Prices have been useless for a long time. Again, it's a list of things I don't/would never buy. Obviously, I'll still have to use it in order to get the offer prices advertised instore, lucky you.
it's really annoying that the offers dont automatically refresh! why do I get an email telling me my new offers are in, click on the email which takes me to the website and not the app, then I have to remember to go to the app, go to the front page, click on Save All Offers. just missed out on 1000 points because my offers refreshed while in the shop!!!!!
Nectar whilst using the Sainsbury's app for a weekly shop WAS great. Easy to find and see what my offers were. Then it disappeared. It came back in a different place and I noticed 3 things. 1. There were about half the number of offers. 2. Half of those were for things I have never and would never buy. 3. Purely by chance I found in some cases that there was an ordinary Nectar price (not personalised) that was CHEAPER than my personalised one! What a rip off!
Really annoying that now I have to use the app to unlock nectar prices, I didn't have to do this before so you're just forcing me to engage with the app. I've had to turn notifications on for the app to remind me to unlock my prices, and now it's asking me to 'pick a partner' in my notifications which is basically just an irritating ad. Thanks for making my shopping experience worse. I'd also question the credibility of some of your recent 5 star reviews...
nectar points used to be good, now I'm having to unlock offers that aren't that tailored to me. and I really don't have time to check them all and make an effort to ensure I benefit from the offers, which really aren't that good anyway. I'll keep it for petrol, but sainsbury's food points have just become to time consuming for the rewards offered
New updated app makes it more difficult to get offers. Having to pre load your prices before you shop has made me miss any savings. It's anti customer, so now I do most of my shopping elsewhere, where the customer is still valued.
Awful experience, bad servers regardless of signal, cannot log in, or change passwords, change of number requires you to contact them but that form is broken too. no idea how the service can even function like this. Ongoing for months trying to use xsmart shop' Seriously needs fixing.
I never get any useful money-off vouchers, sometimes I get nothing at all. If I do get vouchers, very few are personalised to my weekly shop. The most frequent voucher I get is extra points if I spend £100 or more and as I live alone, I spend that amount once or twice a year. I wouldn't recommend Nectar to anyone based on my experience and I'm beginning to think I ought to shop elsewhere
the app is terrible. tried to sign it and sent a code to my email. When I went to verify it said the email address isn't registered! I dont know how that can be as they literally sent me a code!! it's terrible trying to log in or create an account. tried to create an account and funny enough it says the email address is already registered! the help option just comes up with FAQs and no real person to speak to to sort it out. it discourages me to go to sainsburys as I won't benefit!!
Tried endlessly to log in and failed every time. Went through every bit then at the last bit where it asks if I want business offers no matter what I pick it says failed. So sick of the app, had it for nearly a year, downloaded, deleted, and redownloaded, and the same issues every time. update: so I thought I'd give it one more fo, downloaded, logged in, get to the same bit and I get an error message. to the developer I do not have X or fb so no I wont contact you there
copy and paste function from home screen includes a space before the number, causing the final digit to be cut off when attempting to use the card number online. I contacted support, they told me to restart my phone and that they were unable to escalate my request to the right team. obviously this did not solve the issue. I then posted this review and the response asked me to use Facebook or Twitter, neither of which I use, to contact support. beyond unhelpful
