The Ballpark App has had quite a journey but seems to have reached a good level of stability and reliability (even with some teams not really using the technology as well as they could). The Check-In feature is FANTASTIC. You can go back and enter games from the past. The app does the hard work -looking up the details. I add a picture of my ticket stub for self-verification. So far I’ve entered games back to 1984. This feature should be highlighted much more! Of course, an “export” function would be a great add. Now, if you can get the MLB App folks to fix the stat look-up function, especially for historical players, my baseball game attendance would be much more enjoyable as I would have something else to do than watch the game (since “my” teams are the Tigers, Cubs, and Nationals).
I had to leave a review because this is maybe the only app I use that actually got BETTER after an update! I've been dying for statistics on games attended, and now I can finally see the record of teams I've watched at a glance. If I could ask Santa Claus for one more gift, it'd be a matrix of matchups so I could see each team's record against every other team, but I'm quite happy with what we already have. Keep up the good work!
It's a great app for when my friends buy group tickets and we can each get ours individually ahead of time. The fact that I can't print a parking pass from it can be an issue because the scanners at the parking lot (like many) bounce off of the surface of the smartphone, sometimes causing issues to read the ticket. The parking lot attendant said the paper parking passes are much better to scan. So, is there a way I can still do that with the app on my laptop and I'm just not seeing it or has it been completely removed? Thanks!
When ESPN Passport went away, I was super bummed. All my historical check ins across several sports disappeared almost overnight. Thankfully, this app at least brought back the baseball portion of my lost archives. I was thrilled to check in the games that I had attended well after the fact and add pictures and little anecdotes and the stats that the app adds are fantastic. I did have one slight problem though. I went to a game in 2013 that ended after 7 innings due to rain but it wasn’t listed on the app despite being an official game. I checked in for a game the day prior and waited for the ability to correct it. Then for whatever reason, at some point they took away the ability to edit entries or add games after the fact. I’ve been hearing for YEARS how that feature is coming back any minute now but I’ve largely lost faith. Every 6 months or so I get irritated all over again about my mistaken entry so I email, call, and basically beg for them to edit my entry themselves...but no progress. It’s literally the only thing preventing this app from being a perfect tool for any baseball fan, the powers that be are fully aware of it, and yet are working on it at the speed of molasses running uphill. We are happy to let you know that Historical Check-In is back! While you’re awaiting the season to begin, add in events you’ve attended going back to 1903 and see your personal attendance stats all in the My History section of the app. Tap ‘+’ on the My History tab to get started. We thank you for your patience, and look forward to hearing what you think!
There should always be any forms of medi shown posted on up here that would actually always be able to explain as specifically as possible about the reasons for why it is always as impo as ever nowadays m, today in general that all of these forms of media always make sure to explain the very best that they all ever could about always making sure that this type of app never, ever sets any sorts of limits to all that it could ever have shown on it. This meaning like the amounts of specialized types of fea that are ever installed into it that would actually allow any sorts of fans in general to actually be able to keep up with any types of teams in the sport of Baseball itself regardless of the types of teams that they all are. All of these types of things should all always make sure to include translating all of these types of features into as many different worldwide foreign languages as possible. Lastly, all of the forms of media mentioned way earlier in the beginning should all always be translated into as many different worldwide foreign languages as possible and everything. Just updated the app today because I got tickets through work. Unfortunately, it keeps telling me that I need to update the app and forces me to come back to the Play store, even though I don't actually have to update. Also, it's very annoying that I can't save the ticket via screenshot or some other method in the event that my internet connection is spotty later at the ballpark.
First time I used the app for ticketing went very well. Second time was a nightmare. Purchased both a parking pass and two tickets. The app said I had three tickets - great - but when I went to access the tickets the only thing that would appear was my parking pass. Game tickets nowhere to be found. Tried multiple times to retrieve them - nothing. Got to the gate and the gate attendant wasn’t able to help either. Her manager had to walk us to the box office so they could try and retrieve our tickets out of the system. Couldn’t find them by my name or order number. Finally, once we produced the CC used to purchase the tickets, the agent was able to find them. By then, we had already missed some of the game. What if that card was not with us? They wouldn’t have found our tickets and we would have either had to be another pair - or wasted our money entirely, along with the game. If MLB wants to go this route for ticketing they NEED to fix this app. Very frustrating. Hi there, we would be happy to pass your feedback along. Slow and difficult to buy tickets, frequent errors and unresponsiveness. Update: banging my head against a wall for the past 30 mins, the ticket buying is just the website inside a bad browser. I ended up just going to a PC and using Firefox, because I've had problems with Chrome before too, and FINALLY was able to get through selecting tickets and paying. It's bad when you can't even buy tickets through the ticket buying app, I've never successfully done so but keep trying for some reason.
This year, 2023, the app has become a piece of junk!!! The app forces me to login every day that I need to use it to get to my tickets. Often it tells me my credentials are invalid. Then, after several login attempts, using the same stored credentials, it decides I'm OK. I have also experienced multiple problems with the Interactive Games, all season long! There must be something wrong with the 8-8-23 update as new problems have arisen.
I have been trying all day to download this app - all I receive is that they are sending me an email to verify. Five hours later nothing. I had an account but told me the password, same as always, isn't correct. I contacted customer service and nothing. Planning on going to a game in D.C. on July 3rd, becoming a bit of a problem.
The Android app doesn't allow me to check in to different ballparks unless I switch to that teams page. The apple version doesn't have this issue. Also, it doesn't come up as the game, but rather stadium tours. This wasn't the case a few years ago. Otherwise, the app is good. I like that tickets went all digital and that to can buy tickets and forward to friends within the app.
The app displays the ticket bacode too small with no way to zoom in. This makes it very difficult for the venue to easily scan the barcode on the ticket. Also, the app doesn't automatically set the screen brightness to max when viewing a ticket. Again, this makes it more difficult for the attendant to scan the ticket. It would also be nice if there was a way to transfer purchased tickets to other users/family members so that they can use their own device to get into the game.
The app does not have a shortcut on the Android, the only way to open it is through the MLB app. It also does not open it directly, but first directs me to the Android application screen, where I have to explicitly click the Open button. The application is pretty straightforward, but navigation could be better. I needed to add a second email, and found it confusing that I needed to click in the upper left corner to access My Profile, maybe it could also be under More. Otherwise, the app is fine.
Check in won't let me add comments and it doesn't post to Twitter or Facebook after I synced the accounts. No support help. The app keeps getting worse every year. This year tickets don't pull up, frequently crashes, freezes, won't recognize you on some days, most STH pages won't load & if they do it loads a blank page. They really need some code work done if MLB is going to to force us to use this. Overall, very poor and frustrating app.
The login/password procedure is totally messed up. It's not just the app, it's MLBs crazyquilt account system. You have an MLB account, a Ticketmaster account, now something called FEVO, using different logins and passwords for each. And they use an email for a login to a phone app, rather than the phone number, which is actually unique to the phone. This week I've spent more time troubleshooting the ticket app than I spent attending games. They have to fix this.
Very poor. When I buy a ticket within the app, the ticket typically will not show. First time, it caused a lot of problems at the gate as I tried to get into the park. It wouldn't show in the app no matter what I, or the person scanning tickets did. The guy scanning tickets finally suggested that I go directly to the team's website, and go to the ticket inventory there. Lo and behold, there was the ticket with the bar code. Figured I made a mistake. Nope.
Overly complicated and doesn't work all the time. Was unable to enter a game as a parking pass and all tickets never arrived. Only a single ticket would show. I'm updating my review and dropping a star. I tired using it again for a recent game and purchased parking and was quadruple charged. I sent aessage to customer support and just like my last issue, it's just a ploy. They have not contacted me back. Customer service doesn't exist.
congratulations! you win for the worst app ever made. it took 30 minutes to change my phone number. 60 minutes later i still couldn't change my cc info. it takes you to a 382 terms and conditions page with ADS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND NO WAY TO ACCEPT! it fails every time and forces you to start over from scratch... but you can NEVER finish the purchase. so dumb. gpay also fails because of new google security measures. total junk app. DO NOT USE!!!
If zero was an option, I'd use it. MLB needs to fix THEIR APP! I lost my tickets and can't even find them. Only way to contact customer service is through email and then it's back and forth that way, multiple times getting the same "fixes" time and time again. So I ended up missing the game. No offer of replacement, it's "my fault". How hard is it to port over the tickets from an email? I'm all for digital and contactless in the covid-19 era, but if YOUR PRODUCT DOESN'T WORK, IT DOESN'T WORK!
Saying there is no network and not signing in. Edit: It worked randomly for a while and now it is back to saying "no network connection". This is extremely frustrating as I have purchased tickets and would be unable to access them. 2nd edit: I typed that address into a browser and it opened up my Ballpark App. Which I cannot sign into. The help link there leads to an error page.
The MLB app won't have your tickets. This one will, two apps is a massive failure on MLB's part. My stomach was in knots because we were on our way, but I couldn't pull up the tickets in the other app. My nephew opened it on his phone and it worked and I could clearly see the app was missing an icon on the bottom for our tickets. When I had a chance to look closer at the issue, I realized there's another app.... Put it all in 1 app.
Even when you are logged in and select tickets to buy, it asks you to log in. After using valid logging in information, there are always several error messages. Then, all of a sudden without doing anything differently, everything works. Also, I stay logged in. There are times I use the app for several consecutive games/days - it may work two days, but the third day, I have to log in. Awful app, unfortunately, there is no other choice since ballparks claim they can no longer print paper tickets.
When I first got the tickets more than a month before the game, they weren't in my wallet. I called & they fixed it. I forwarded some of my tickets. Some people struggled to get them & some disappeared completely. I called customer service well before the game and had to call at the game because the tickets still weren't there. I had to go down to the box office & show them the "solutions" weren't working. I kept getting error messages in the app. Finally, got some physical tickets in 5th inning
installed and the app appeared to be frozen for a long.... time about 3 or so minutes. had to force close and try again, then when it finally opened correctly, I created an account and then it wouldn't allow the secure password. created a less secure password and then said this email was already in use, which it wasn't because it is a newer company email. overall, a very bad experience for a new end user to endure.
Purchased tickets on seat geek for a game the day of. Whenever you purchase the tickets it says the tickets are “pending” and the seller needs to confirm, fine. But after, they say that the tickets are confirmed and send you an access link, which prompts you to download the app. Once in the app, there is literally no way to get these tickets. No amount of uninstalling and reinstalling, changing my password, or anything or the sort will make them appear. No one will answer the phone when you try to call customer service, and when they do they literally tell you to uninstall or change your password. I am out $65 which is completely fine I just would never attend another game, especially with the lack of understanding from customer service when this is a known issue. This app gets TERRIBLE reviews, why in the world is it the only way to get tickets? I am not spending more money on another ticket when my card was already charged for the first one. I don’t understand how they can charge my card when I do not have a ticket. Others have had the same issue. The lack of customer service from this big of an organization is crazy. Hi there, please email us at [email protected] so we can assist.
Redesign removed the best features of this app - each team's record for games in your journal, the ability to actually see which ballparks you've been to and how many times, and it appears that even the option to add games from the past has been removed. This is very disappointing, was one of my favorite apps before the redesign. I used to look through old games I went to in the past and look at statistics about the teams and parks I've seen. I can't even see a list of teams I've watched anymore.
