Worth every penny! Runs dos native games perfectly, a little sound chop but by no means a deal breaker. Be aware tho...this emulator ONLY runs DOS native games, so you may have some issues finding games that don't run Win95 native, so hunting for a compatible game is the entire battle. Great job devs, 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

MagicBox plays DOS games on your phone. If thats what you wanted, you found it. Doesn't feel too janky/awkward thanks to a very customizable control set up, this emulator mostly shines with point and click/turn-based games but I've managed to play real-time games like Elder Scrolls: Arena without too much trouble

It's pretty much the best dosbox app on android, but it could do with multi-touch for the virtual keyboard because it cannot use more than one button at any time, so crouch n shoot doesn't work, lol, ohwell, it runs good with a Bluetooth controller though, perfect for an 8bitdo mini controller.

This is the best DosBox version I've found on the Play Store. It supports external storage. I have Nesticle NES emulator for DOS running under it just fine. I've gotten DOS Sierra games to run with sound and even old Tandy color and sound games running under it. It will also let you create home screen shortcuts to your DOS apps. It is highly customizable, but a prior knowledge of DosBox on PC really helps when getting into the advanced features.

This is an incredible little app. It took me a little bit of playing with to figure out the installation of games and it takes a little bit of tweaking on cpu cycle for most games to get them to slow down, but I recommend you start with Oregon T. Super easy to install and tweak via "expert" config. Gonna see if I can get my gamepad mapped up and really start to have fun. BIG thank you to the developers and people who support them. Buy this now. You'll b happy with it.

This emulator is incredible. No doubt the developers put real effort in it. It supports bluetooth controllers, save states, mouse emulation, you can design your own keys layout, can set keys size, position even background. Save seperates layout for each and every game. Create shortcuts for games executables. And much more... Amazing !!!! It would be real great if there is an option to add photo on icons of game shortcuts we create

As a beginner, using a DOS emulator is a little more complicated than a console emulator. Even more complicated is the task of adapting a keyboard & mouse game to touchscreen controls, especially if its a game I've never played before! Magic DosBox has guides that helped me set up the game I wanted to play. They also have a forum where people share their touchscreen profiles for various games. With this help I was able to play Blood on my phone easily.

This is leagues better than playing DOS games on RetroArch. The controls for each game you load here are manageable, and they're all emulated in ways that you would want it. But what I really like is this app's ability to replicate mouse controls just by touching and dragging around the screen, which is pretty useful for point-and-click adventures and a few breakout clones that support this control scheme.

Absolutely amazing app! I love working with vintage computers and this app allows me to bring some of that joy on the go with some of my favorite games. The amount of features and the customizability is insane to the point there's a learning curve but it's well worth it! If you run into the issue of no sound, game lock ups, or sound hardware initializing errors, try copying the sound config fields from the PC version of DOSBox into the app version and increasing some of the buffers a tad bit.

Great DOSBox implementation. A couple of features that would be nice would be for mounting a floppy disc and the ability to auto add an "exit" after the running application exits. In addition, if the running application is a batch file, it should "call" the batch file. Just so I don't have to edit the "advanced" file every time. Another addition could be to set defaults.

Way better than Dosbox Turbo and Manager. Could use a more material (or just cleaner) design, but it is very intuitive for the average techie. I like that this is more containerized. Criticism: Better design (in terms of theme and color choices) Being able to drop existing games into Collections (folders) Icon could be something nicer (personal preference) Some games require a joystick and a fire button, that I can't find a setting for mapping or emulating, such as Destruction Derby. I like it a lot and hope it keeps on improving. Better tutorials with improved production value would be nice. Add a buy me a beer donation link even in the paid version somewhere, so people can contribute more if they want.

Magic DosBox is an incredible piece of software. Talk about getting your money's worth. I've been able to play my favorite old computer RPGs from the ancient days of computing smoothly and with incredible customization of the UI at my fingertips. I've created perfectly tuned UI elements for each game that I've installed, and everything has worked as intended. Really, the best money I've ever spent on the Play Store. I'd give six stars if I could. Thank you for all your work.

The best dosbox on the play store. Amazing amount if customisation for controls and ways to organise your game library. Was able to get alot of the best old dos games playing on my phone. Would give 5 stars if i could play fallout with absolute mouse. Playing ANY game with the mouse cursor offset is just plain weird and is no fun. So far most games I have wanted to play have emulated the mouse ok, RTS games like C&C and Dune2. Tried the free trial and then got the paid version. well worth it!

The app is good for the most part, but there is an issue when switching from portrait to landscape mode. Using an 8bitdo SN30 and SN30 PRO, the dpad inputs work fine in Portrait view, but instantly stop working when flipping the phone to landscape view. This doesn't appear to be an issue with the controllers as other emulators don't have this issue.

An excellent app, but a few suggestions: 1) add the option to have borders for widgets; 2) the joystick widget should have a sensitivity scale, so you can set a larger micro-movement zone; 3) the joystick widget should also have the option to control relative mouse movement, not just absolute mouse, which doesn't seem to work quite right, and doesn't make much sense (the absolute mouse boundary isn't connected to the stick widget, and it's just like no widget at all, except it amplifies motion).

Some of the functionality needs to be present in free version to make that version worth installing, like joysticks at bare minimum. Other than that I'd just like to have better joystick widget for mouse emulation. Don't have any other complaints.

Edit: Magic DosBox is very limited in what it can do. A few things it can not do are xcopy and switches. Review: Best way to emulate DOS on a portable device! Super easy to setup and install games & OSes. Has taught me a lot about DOS and really has improved my abilities. Please keep this updated and running, really fun to use! Using on Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g running Android 12.
