excellent app. this app is well built and straight up forward information about the amount and payments you had made throughout your payment history. it is very simple. All of your payments will be posted in the app. It's an excellent choice for people who don't have the full money to pay for their items in full amount. So it gives you interest free bi weekly payments for the items. You also can choose a flexible payment of your own.
hi! this app is definitely wonderful, however, don’t let those google fools fool you when they say klarna will not affect your credit or put you in debt. this is false information that will actually definitely kill your vibe with this app. long, long story short: i went through an unforeseen patch in my life where i went from financially stable and happy years to broke in like a couple of days span. at that time, i had some payments with klarna that i had to settle. i owed them around $50, and they did have a really kind grace period, HOWEVER, they ended up sending me an email saying debt collectors would get involved in 24 hours if I did not pay my debt to them (this was a week before my grace period time was up, so i was upset about that). as said, i was in a really bad time financially, so i couldn’t pay. i’m young and assumed they would only take what was needed (the money i owed them), but they took $10,000 out of my account. i managed to get the $10k off my account, but it tanked my credit. i was able to file for bankruptcy and have my friend take the debt off my credit however, so no harsh complaints from me. THE ONLYYYY problem I have is the fact that they didn’t follow through with the max time for their grace period. I love this app, and it has saved me time and again. My only issue, was that even with on-time payments, there was a 2+ month period where it would reconfigure my one-time card and make me payable a double 1st time payment. So if the purchase was $100, instead of the originally suggested 4, $25 payments, it would kick back and tell me it was reconfigured - that I had to pay $50 up-front, and $16.67 for the remaining payments, which kind of sucks when you're strapped for cash.
Let me start off by saying I love Klarna or used to. They were the og payment app for me. I have recommended them to everyone I know even though I also use affirm, quadpay, and after pay. I have been using Klarna for a few years now and have used their app more times than I can count. Seriously, I have had a million transactions through them. I have always had on time payments and most times paying stuff off early. For some reason lately they flat out won’t approve me for anything even though I have almost everything paid off through them so far. I have borrowed over a thousand from them in one transaction before but now they won’t even let me borrow two hundred. My credit score has significantly increased since I first started using them so that can’t be considered a factor in their decision. I should be able to borrow their max amount at this point since I’ve beyond built that trust with them but lately they seem to be treating me like I’ve never used their app before. I’m just beyond frustrated with the service I’ve been getting from them recently. I have started using affirm and quadpay instead. Even though I haven’t used those two near as much as Klarna they still give me a significant spending amount and I never have an issue with being approved for what I want. I wish Klarna would function the way they used to when I first started using their app. I don’t know what has changed but they’re starting to lose a lot of loyal customers because of it.
This would be a cool app if it would actually work. When it does work, it’s awesome, I’m able to make larger purchases and either pay every two weeks or spread the payments out over 6 months. Here’s the issue, the app will work seamlessly then out of nowhere it won’t. I will attempt to make a purchase and initially I’m told I’m approved, I agree to the terms and go to the next step where my ghost card should be created but then it isn’t. I get this weird message telling me that my identity cannot be verified, so I answer the security questions, receive confirmation that my identity has been verified just for the system to do it again and ultimately deny my purchase. This only happens with the 6 monthly payment option. Then for some reason, a lot of merchants have stopped accepting Klarna ghost cards. Two merchants in a row declined my purchase because I was attempting to make the purchase via Klarna, super weird. I would love for their app and system to be updated to prevent these types of scenarios from happening going forward. I understand that they cannot intervene and make companies accept their payment, but the issues with ghost card inconsistently working is ridiculous. I have Afterpay and have never had any issues. They let you know up front how much you’re eligible to spend and you’re easily able to make purchases as long as you stay within your limit. I was enjoying using this app but for the past few months I can't get into my account. I get the emails for when my payments are due but I can't go check anything out just status on a white screen with the logo on it. I un-installed it and re-installed it and last month was able to get on (after SEVERAL attempts) this month NOPE I like to pay early if I can and I can't even see what's owed. Very Disappointed 😞
I'm getting real tired of doing the pay in 4 option and then having to turn around and pay over half first and then pay less than $10 for the other 4 payments. What's the point of doing pay in 4 if I have to basically pay for the full amount up front? Only thing saving this app for me is it's partnered with Etsy and you can push back payments occasionally.
My purchase power was almost at 1000. I made sure to pay off ALL of my payments on time and even some early. A month ago they randomly knocked it down to 300 and then chalked it up to saying it was my credit. My credit has been the same basically this entire time. I remember using Klarna and when I would pay on time my PP would go up and I was so excited to see it change after having such a large amount to spend when I know others have higher amounts. Oh well.
I was happy to get approved for the installments and have tried another app called Affirm with no issues. I wanted to get an idea of what I would be paying and thought to go through with it. I ended up backing out of the offer from Klarna to try again when I got paid. I never checked out on the order with the Merchant. Again I’m used to Affirm where they don’t process the installments until you check out. I got a notification on my bank of suspicious activity and when I checked my account I saw that Klarna had charged me the first payment. I reached their customer service to ask if there was a way the order could be processed through the merchant since I had gotten charged anyway. They said they couldn’t and that I would be refunded, no biggie to me. I liked the customer service so far for informing me. I know they can’t make the world turn for me so I’m ok with getting back what was charged. What I don’t like is that Klarna charged me the first installment without me even checking out on the order. That’s the only issue I have and advise they get that updated for people like me that can be indecisive shoppers at times. Not even that it could be an issue where our battery dies or the page refreshes or we set down our phone for a bit and it times out. This is based on the app and not Klarna as a whole. The app is extremely slow and constantly says something went wrong and won't load what is trying to be viewed. This is happening on Android, in my case, specifically on Samsung phones like S25 ultra and Z Fold 6. I'm not sure what needs to be done but an update with a fix to these issues is needed sooner than later.
It worked just fine at first, as expected. But then I had my info leaked in a data breach and locked one of my credit files. I forgot and when I attempted to make a purchase I was denied. I figured it what was wrong and unlocked my file but still was denied. For half the amount of my previous purchase which I paid off early!! Now they want half up front and then split the remaining half into 3 payments. I'm probably going to use other BNPL apps after this experience.
Liked it, used it, ready to leave/delete and you have to jump through hoops just to close an account? I made a purchase and a 3.09 cent promotional [percentage of the actual purchase amount of 300 and change], and went to close account but I have a 3.09 amount that they told me I have to clear or use before they can close my account [which I did read can take weeks to close]. I was told to add money so the money can be spent? I have talked to 3 or 4 chat techs that are pretty much useless.
terrible! misinformation provided via app. I was allowed to make a purchase of $90 on walmart. made my first payment 1 month early. had purchase power of $230 remaining. tried to place new order w/ purchase power, for only $58, system states my credit score prevents me from ordering. note that my credit score was the same when klarna approved my first order. information given on the app & via support is misleading and makes no sense. once I pay off what I owe, I plan to delete & never use again.
BIG MISTAKE! First order, I had to identify myself I get to the end and it took me back to instacart where instacart had a message that the order couldn't be completed using Klarna. I went to pay with PayPal, payment was declined. I check my bank and Klarna took the entire amount of the order. I tried canceling in the klarna app, wouldn't cancel. reach out to cs and they said the order will be canceled in 10 business days and the funds in 7-10 business days after that. what thievery is this?
horrible horrible sight. they tell you have this much to spend with very little money down. then when you actually go to purchase whatever it was that you wanted they change the whole outline completely. you. ha very to make a down payment of roughly 70%-80%. now if I wanted to do that it means I would have the money to make the purchase without klarna. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THUS COMPANY AT ALL. PURE SCAM!!!!!!!! once my stuff is paid for the account will be closed and app deleted. Garbage site!!!!
I had a problem with a specific item as it billed on the invoice, so in real time minutes after the order was placed my only option ended up avoiding the entire transaction. klarna had already paid TEMU $13.?? and I assumed as the order was cancelled TEMU would of returned the money to original issuer of money. no they did not. so two months later after 4 harassing customer service contacts. stil want $42 for items I never got!;!!!
This app is horrible and confusing. It's not like Affirm which is easy and seamless and I've never had an issue with refunds. And the dumb way you have a temporary credit card created for you in glitchy. Walmart canceled the order the moment I placed it and the Cards Creator put a 10 day hold. That was 15 days ago and Klarna still hasn't given me a refund and shows payments still lined up to be taken from me for this even though the order was canceled. Also always requires a down-payment!! I haven't used app in four months. The last time I used app I had a 1000 dollar spending limit. Now I knew in the last four months Klarna was bought out by a new corporation. That being said I was shocked to learn I to put my own money upfront to make a purchase. Then start to build up purchase power. This defeats the purpose of the app. I contacted AI customer service to have new policy explained because I couldn't find them anywhere. It the AI gave the basic skit. LOST CUSTOMER
I don't like the fact that you just forced us to use your app from Stocard. Also no notification, nothing. Get to the till, want to use Stocard and Bam! Sorry....not available anymore I also can't set a passkey, which makes this app very unsecure. When I click on manage it just tells me I have no passkey set and that's it. It doesn't give me the option to set a passkey. Not impressed with this app. Will rather look for something more secure.
I used to love this app. Not anymore. My order was canceled. I had to jump through so many hoops just to get my refund. It took over a week of going back and forth with the store to Klarna and back again. I was never notified of this cancelation. I contacted them about another issue. I had to dispute a charge with my bank. I can't get $ until the dispute is resolved. I contacted CS to explain why I had 2 late payments and they said I would still be charged the late fees and penalties. Wow.
have been using this app consistently for over 5 years. purchase power was almost $2,000. my cat died, I missed a payment, they reset my purchase power to the starting limit of $300. 5 years of perfect payments means absolutely nothing if you miss one. yet another company that doesn't care to help once you hinder their profits. if you reach out they just tell you thats unfortunate and feel free to use the purchase power they left you with.
all of a sudden I can't use my Chime or Cash app card anymore. Never missed a payment and always paid off my purchases early. Now I can only use my credit cards to pay and I'm not doing that. And I'm not switching banks. Been with Chime for a long time and it is souvh better than all the physical banks. Way to reward good customers. These apps just keep getting worse and worse. If I could give a 0 I would! "BE AWARE"... just because they let you add a card to your wallet doesn't mean they'll allow it for purchases! I was trying to make a purchase today & I wanted to use this app to help my pocket. I added my said card even added funds from said card to their app! But..this is the part that gets me!!! When I went to make a purchase using this app it says that my card can't be used because it's considered a debit card!!! Then why let me be able to add it to begin with?!?
WARNING klarna will randomly do duplicate payments already made out again, 6 days later as a "billing error" contacting them will do no good it's a "pre authorization" when it's unexpected and 2 weeks before Christmas this is a massive issue. They've been holding it for a week. They also largely go off your credit score, despite what they say it says "you are denied due to your credit score" for a 500 dollar fridge for example when my spending limit is 1k. On time payments don't benefit you.
I used to love this app. Told all my friends about it. Made my payments on-time, if not paid off early. Had one issue one time and you are pretty much labeled as no longer worthy (and trust me they always got their money-that wasnt the issue). Started having issue after issue after that. Paid off what I owed and finally gave up using it. Just got a notice (10/15) of some bs reason I was denied something back in JULY. And customer service is zero help. Shame. I really liked it while it lasted.
We were desperately trying to get new tires. I went through every step. Put in the amount and it gave me 4 options. I was IMMEDIATELY declined for 3 of them. But the 4th one approved. Added my bank, got the money, set the appointment for the tires, agreed to the terms & then last second, declined. I get an email explaining & that's fine but why let it go that far? They all declined on the spot why let one go all the way to the end before declining it? So thanks for the 0 hope. It was great.
Honestly hands down worst experience ever. I’ve used the app before and thought it was okay, but that was until I experienced an issue trying to order a refrigerator from Home Depot and Whirlpool never received my order so they never shipped it. I’ve been without a fridge for over a month at this point. My issue with Klarna came into play with their terrible customer service. Their only solution is that I had to get in contact with the merchant (which I already did) to have a refund placed for me ( which HD was struggling to do for the last 3 weeks) and instead of Klarna being helpful or understanding to my money being tied up in a refrigerator order never recieved that should of been an easy refund, Klarna exact words are “I can stop the payments until you reach out to the merchant. Us stopping the payment will give you the chance to resolve with them before we continue to process your payments. But we do not reach out to the vendors for anything at all, it’ll go in their queue and if they don’t respond we’ll resume your payments”. All in all telling me I pretty much just have to take it if Home Depot doesn’t see the message Klarna sends to their queue . Absolute worst customer service hands down. And the automated machine TRIES to not allow you through to a representative every way possible. Absolutely horrible. AND I’m still waiting on a refund weeks later !! Found this app and was so excited to use it! I found a few stores we shop at on here and was excited to start getting some things we needed and be able to pay them off over a short period of time without worrying about a credit check or interest etc. When it came down to funding the ghost card, I first got a error message saying it couldn’t be processed and to either add another card or form of payment. I double checked I entered all of card info correctly and I did! So I tried again and once more!! Then it tells me I’m not approved?!! I don’t get it! So I call Klarna customer service and they tell me they look at past history, bank info and means of paying back the purchase. I’ve never had a Klarna account in my life and I’ve never had a negative bank account. And The purchase I was trying to start out with to try this out was only $53!!! I don’t get it?! The rep on the phone tells me there’s nothing they can do to over ride the decision and I’m just not able to shop with them I guess? Super disappointed. I read some other reviews and agree that you must be pulling other information on people because I have no other things against me to not allow me to find the ghost card to shop! I have way more than the amount in my account to find the ghost card first off and two, I’ve never had an account. I've used Klarna for a couple of years, never late, never any issues. I recently opened a new bank account so I made the switch on klarna, suddenly our purchase power dropped significantly, and whenever I try to use klarna it says it needs to verify my bank again, so I add the info and it says I can't make a purchase due to my credit score. It was a great app, now it's useless. Didn't expect this having used them for years. Ive uninstalled and moving to Zip(Quadpay)
You can have a good credit at first but once you cancel any order or return items you don't need, they discriminate you and send you reasons (lies) for what they won't give you credit anymore, just because you cancel once!!!!! And they even state it is not discrimination but it actually is when you've paid them on time and everything but NO WAY YOU HAVE RIGHT TO CANCEL, THEY WILL CANCEL YOU!!!!!!!! And this isn't random, they did the same to my husband after he returned a cell phone, brand new
Loved this app at first. But recently they've been taking out payments before I even get paid. Tried taking out a payment at 4am and slapped me with a late fee because, once again, tried taking payments out at 4am 2 weeks before when I had insufficient funds. I'm going to delete the app and look for something else. Edit: on top of that, they force you to pay for things you never receive, because there's no way to tell them. If you report a return, the store never responds and you have to pay.
