This used to be a great app, does exactly what you need it to do. However, the map has changed and now instructs the driver to go to an incorrect address and cannot be changed. Now I have to go to a different street to meet drivers, completely defeating the point of paying for delivery. Please sort this issue out quickly and I'll give 5 stars
Visiting from the US, and grabbed the app for simplifying meals one night when we didn't want leave the room. Everything was great until payment time. Being from the US the bank app payment option wasn't going to work. trying to use Google pay failed immediately, and using credit/debit would simply leave me at a half blank screen after entering the details. In app review text box closes keyboard after every keypress. Just eat service is great app is in state of beta release at best
Was good, now they rob people.. so not only do we pay service fee, delivery fee and a mark-up on orders. I've now noticed a few times that orders can't be late because the app keeps pushing the times back to suit... then when an order arrives stone cold, you don't even get a full refund?! I made a £32 McDs order the other week, took over an hour to arrive, everything was cold and horrible so all that got consumed was the drinks... done the 'unhappy with my order' process, only got £8 back! 🤬
The new one payments system is rubbish. Used to just pop up with Google wallet, scan my fingerprint and done. Now it sends me a one time passcode to access my card details, takes ages to come through then after entering the code tells me I don't have an account! Entered the card details manually in the end. Not exactly that labour intensive but a backwards step for the app
Honestly needs a lot of improvements for consistent use. I have been using it since I started my third year in uni and after the first week of using it I never got proper time estimates or a functional way to track my food. Out of my 50 orders I would say only 5 are tracked with an acceptable level of accuracy. I would consider this app/service top of the line if it has a major update to it's tracking and help order services.
Grocery shopping experience is incredibly bad. A number of times now I've placed an order, waited 30 to 60mins and then the order gets cancelled just before the scheduled delivery time and it's just a case of tough luck try somewhere else. No idea who the point of failure is here between the supermarket or the delivery driver but ultimately the service is provided by JE and it's broke.
There is no customer service help whatsoever. If you're having ongoing issues, it's easy for the convenience of ordering and local food places, and that's it. I have been waiting for my order for over an hour now and called the restaurant they have had my food ready for ages, and its the drivers/just eat being an issue and there is no way for me to even contact them which is the infuriating part. I click Contact Us on my browser on their Web page it does nothing same with my phone, so annoying.
Absolutely rubbish. When ordering from a restaurant, you're given the option of selecting a time you would like your food to be delivered. I ordered my food at 7 pm on the dot! The restaurants delivery time was between 20 - 30 minutes. I waited until 8pm and still nothing. I checked the app only to see they had extended my delivery time and estimated it would now be delivered at 8:45pm - 9pm. i called the restaurant, and he said the driver has not arrived yet. Disgusting service from just eat.
Sometimes fails and is always slow to refund orders it cancels. Delivery time moves around randomly - it'll be 20 minutes. Now it's 50 minutes. Now it's 'nearly there'. Now the delivery time has 'change slightly' (adds over an hour). Now it's 25 minutes. Now it's back up to 50 minutes. Then the order cancels. No way to talk to Just Eat. No in app chat support. No contact telephone number. Had to use credit card company to hit them over the refund failures.
Most recent order I received included food that had been ticket reduced, from Sainsbury's, and past its best. Just Eat refused to refund them! Using Just Eat is way more expensive than visiting the restaurant. Unless you get a deal or offer (which are more rare now). example Mcd sit in £14, just eat delivered £27 I wonder who gets the additional money, or is it split. The delivery times change frequently and sometimes the driver arrives before the order shows it moving from the store!
Just Eat is fine until something goes wrong with an order - then it is simply the worst customer service experience you could imagine. I really trusted that they would help me when something went wrong, but when I was served unsafe, inedible food that had been sat out for over 2 hours there was simply no way to have my order refunded - it's just a loop of AI bots and "computer says no". Any reputable takeaway will treat you like a human being, just delete this app and phone them up.
This app has some serious bugs that need sorting out. ever since "pay by bank app" has been added as a payment option, I've had nothing but problems. I will avoid using just eat in the future, but if I do find myself having to use it again I will pay by entering my card directly. I have just lost £10 account credit from a gift voucher due to this and trying to contact customer service is almost impossible. I will now have to wait for a team leader to email me back. Disappointed and hungry.
Today, I can't even find my address because it's down. I can't even find information as to why it's down. installed and reinstalled still nothing. when i got the food the last 30 times, it's been either cold or items missing. they overcharge per item on the menu. then dare ask a service charge. no actual customer support. mostly offer account credit instead of a proper refund. real shady business practices with this one.
In my last five or six orders, one has been correct. In my most recent order the most expensive item and one other main item were missing, replaced by random other mains. My wife had nothing she can eat. I had to make a second order and pay delivery again so my wife had food. I ultimately paid £40 for a £24 meal. I provided photo evidence of the delivery and receipt. Just Eat will not refund any of the order value, giving no reason whatsoever. Will never be using them again. Awful experience
Twice now I have ordered and it's been well over an hour and it still said 'thank you for your order'. The first time I cancelled it and second time I went to Cancel but it came up 'preparing order'. Took an hour and a half to receive the order. Apparently due to no driver's. Sort it out just eat, totally unacceptable, especially when your charging high prices for fees and delivery!!
Has gone down hill This app used to be good but have had issues lately. Most recent is waited several hours for an order, they kept changing the delivery time. Then they said it had been delivered when it hadn't. Rang the store and they said it hadnt even been picked up yet! Tried to get refund but of course no one replies. Use with caution. They have no problem taking your money and not delivering your order!
Came back after not using it for a few years after having been ripped off. Order some groceries, never turned up, no update on the app, no way of contacting customer support, the shop, driver or anyone to find out what's going on, restraunt had stopped taking any more orders. Had to wait 2 hours for it to randomly be marked as "delivered" (it wasn't) so that I could request a refund. 2 hours waiting for food I could have ordered elsewhere had someone just communicated.
App works but the company doesn't. Beware anyone with allergies. Even though we used the notes feature we still received a dish containing mushrooms. No mention in the menu. Customer services couldn't care less and said we should have called the restaurant. We'll do that in future and get a delivery direct rather than use this app. Look at other reviews, totally unreliable
Double charged by JustEat, order still sat in the basket. No record of the order in the app - so can't proceed at all. But they took the money from my bank. Twice! Oh, and it's JustEat - so their phone number has no humans on it, just msg say check the website, contact/help has a fixed list of topics so anything outside of that - eg if they're screwed up - has no way of even sending them a message. This is all clearly intentional, avoid this company and go to Deliveroo or direct instead!
So normally I have a good to moderate experience with this app. BUT yesterday I received one of my five items. all of which came to around £35. And instead of a refund to the payment method I have received JustEat credit. I have had to go out and buy the same items again which has now left me broke. No way to contact or an option for where the refund can go. This is most disappointing.
