Daily pay is an app that enables you to receive your paycheck before payday. The money/hours you clock in one day is what daily pay gives u at the end of that day but CUT IN HALF. Your reported earnings will grow and will eventually be correct the day before payday. This is what you made from your current hours clocked in (Reported earnings). Your available balance is what daily pay is enabling you to transfer, this balance is half of the total amount you made so far working that pay week. If you transfer/use this balance or some of it, it is taken out of your check on payday because it IS your check. Daily pay is for people who need funds now. If you don’t use your available balance , this balance and the money you receive on payday will equal your actual paycheck total, in my case more. Daily pay does not steal your money because you are obviously using it. The bad reviews are from people who didnt really understand DailyPay. I was one of them. I thought daily pay was talking half of my money but I received the rest on payday. DailyPay is a GREAT app and I’m glad I came across it. Please give it a try. If you don’t understand just come back to this review.
So before I talked to this DailyPay employee I’m about to mention, I was already out the door ready to stop using DP. The overall experience was honestly horrible. Customer service sucked, I had a dude eating while talking to me and talking like he’s on the streets. Just unprofessional. Let me say there is some good agents at DP but far and few. Anyways, they were charging me $2.99 a transfer, for what was suppose to be free when you set up a Current account, But then God called on one of the good ones left at DailyPay and I couldn’t be more happier. All worries are gone knowing this man works for DP. I had run into some horrible customer service with them and week long responses just to get asked if I needed help again. Then came along a man named DAVE. A legend in my book and someone who DP needs to pay as much as you can to keep at your company. Cause he will keep customers and make the company money. I don’t know his last name but he’s a Daily Pay employee named Dave in the customer service department, most likely runs it. But man, I hope people who have issues with DP, get to talk to a Dave. He made everything more then better. Dave is up there with Jesus Christ in my opinion. Just a class act and a peoples person. It’s not the hero we want, but it’s the Hero we need! Thanks for your help Dave!!!! Talk soon Chad, I am sorry you are being charged for your transfers on your Current Card. I will get the charges refunded to you. I am also emailing you on the account assigned to your DailyPay account. Please watch your inbox and I will also call you later today.
Overall, this is a good app. It can get a bit expensive if you withdraw every day. Sometimes the algorithm gets temporarily tied up if you have a change in your regular work schedule days, or you work extra hours/work less hours on any given day. That will result in overpayment, underpayment or delay, really frustrating when you're on a strict budget and time is of the essence. But they are very transparent and customer service is excellent at explaining discrepancies when they occur.
Seriously! They have had me in the run around for a week or more. They promised that it would be resolved within a day (promise not kept), so I'm giving DailyPay 1 star because they even saw no issues other than it not letting me login. Is it too difficult to just fix a simple account issue here? A phone call, numerous emails, and chats with support. And...nothing yet, but I'll wait. I might upgrade the rating after. update: issue was resolved
It's reliable but the few issues I have are the insane delays and the fees...If you have to pay rent the next and the day after that and your money doesn't show up on time makes it difficult but frustrating...Not to mention paying a fee when you transfer it instantly although you can transfer it the next day without paying a fee, but what if you don't want to wait the next day you need the money now to pay for important things
For the most part, I like Daily Pay. Sometimes you need your money early for necessities such as gas and food. That’s a big pro. However, there are many cons. First, you have to pay $3 for every transfer. When you’re making minimum wage ($7 and some change where I live), that’s a lot to give up every time you really need money. Second, this app can incorrectly report how much you’re really earning. This week it said I had a certain balanced earned. I was borrowing money and making sure I didn’t touch a certain amount of my paycheck because I have an insurance bill due this week. My paystub came out yesterday and it turns out I actually EARNED LESS than what Daily Pay stated. After my paystub came out, THEN DailyPay updated theirs. I had already borrowed money this week. As a result, I’ll have LESS money than I expected to have on payday. Now I have to borrow money from my next paycheck to cover the rest of my insurance bill. Just a warning to everyone: keep track of your own hours, don’t rely on this unreliable app, it could screw you over. Even better, don’t use it unless you really have to. Maybe I should stop using it entirely and just try to make it between paychecks, that way I will have all of my money when I actually need it. We all have to be careful when allowing our money to come through a third party. It’s probably better to just have your full paycheck go directly to you then through some app. Just be careful everyone. Hey there, thank you so much for providing this feedback. We’re constantly working to improve our users’ experience and value your input. In order to continue to provide you with this service, we do need to charge a fee. This ensures that we can continue to support you and provide you with the gold standard level of service we’re known for. Sometimes earnings can be delayed by the type of work you’re doing, how it’s being reported, or how much data your company’s payroll department is entering at one time. Our team is always happy to confirm the accuracy of your account and paychecks. If you’d like to chat about this further, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
A year ago I started working for a company that offered daily pay. Being a fairly decent budgeter and a firm believer that the old-school era of getting paid every two weeks is out of date and a scam, I used DailyPay often. Fast forward to now and about two months ago I took a position at a different company that also offers dailypay. I plugged in all information for my new company onto the app but I then discovered my account was cancelled due to no longer working at my previous company. No big deal, I decided to call and figure out how to get it set up. I sat on call for an hour and 20 mins, eventually gave up. Called again and again, finally got offered an option to receive a call back. After receiving the callback I did everything the rep told me to do and was told that she could see I am a long time user and that my account would be restored in 24 to 48 hours. Weeks have gone by. I finally took the time out of my day to call again and sit on the phone for hours waiting for someone to pick up. Eventually got an answer and was told yet again the same thing, that my account would be restored and my ticket was “escalated”… it’s now been another two days and still no balance to pull from. It’s frustrating, time consuming and the customer service lacks. The turnaround rate for answers on someone’s MONEY needs to be evaluated. Hoping my escalated ticket gets answered soon..
When the app works, it's wonderful! but I downloaded it onto my new phone yesterday, and it absolutely REFUSES to get past the initial loading screen. I've sat with it for over an hour today and NOTHING. This happened occasionally on my last device, but normally, I was able to force myself through by going through Google or my email. Not this time. It will NOT work. I need to pay my car payment 🥲
Awful app from the beginning. I've had to use it to make payments for my bus fees and etc, I had close to $300 from 2 shifts when I checked last night, checked this morning and its completely gone. No sign of any of my transfers, no fees, nothing in my account. I tried calling, and using the chatting option, neither of them worked. As far as I'm concerned, they might as well have stolen my money.
One time passwords are an annoyance at sign in and require a phone service plan, so dont think your going to use daily pay & wifi to pay your phone bill if its past due. Also upon parting ways with your employer, you can no longer sign in to receive your money, the app stops working and you have to wait on direct deposit or a paper check. These problems aside daily pay is an alright app and I have used it regularly. Three stars, decent app with room for improvement.
First time using this app, and I'm already concerned about my money vanishing... I signed up and made an account to see that I have a full balance ready to claim, but after I set up my account verification and refresh the page, the balance completely disappeared. I checked my banks to see if I unknowingly claimed it, but that wasn't the case. now I have 0 idea if I'm going to receive all my money by payday.
This service sucks. It was ok, sort of, it would add my money and was able to draw from it, while paying a fee. Then, at the beginning of this month, it just stopped. I contacted support, and they had to escalate, days later, the only response I've received was an email asking if I still needed assistance. I am completely broke, and my fridge is running low. Thanks, Daily Pay!
For 5 years this was the best thing going. In the last 2 months it has been nothing but a nightmare. I have to call them if not every other day, daily to see why my bank account has failed. They tell me my bank account was removed, well not by me it wasn't. Please fix this app. To keep my sanity I can no longer use Daily Pay unfortunately. Hopefully you can get it back on track and then I'll be back. Just completely deleted and canceled my account. How sad. FIX UR PROBLEMS!!
Very invasive app! Had used it ONE time for a minor $50 advance to cover a bill and then all of a sudden they took over my default direct deposit from my HR system. Even after I deleted them from the account, they went back in and overwrote my default system again. I now have to wait 2 more days to get paid and because of this, I have a couple of late fees to pay. AVOID THIS APP! Whatever your need for it is not worth the hassle. Update: Processed to delete account & they still took over!
I Really liked it at first until 2 months ago. They fixed the issue I had before. then a week and a half later, same issue. I can't see my earnings anymore. Made like 4 to 5 tickets with them and they keep closing it for some reason without even fixing the problem. Been going on for like 2 weeks now and I'm done with this app. If i can give it zero stars, I would.
Money will disappear, not a lot. Not all at once. A dollar here, 56 cents there. watch your "available balance". When it is at 0, and you get a daily pay note the amount. Do not transfer. Wait until next daily pay release, and do your own math. Where did those coins go? Actually, you should get the app. That way when the class action drops, you're in on the win. Other than the Office Space worm taking my coins, not a bad app.
The company itself leaves a lot to be desired. Terrible app. Earned wages are rarely posted for using. Have to call them once a week so that they may "escalate" the complaint to another department. Even then it takes way longer than 72 hours to squeeze out a dime of what your available balance is. Some days the app wont even load. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. Very annoying. Please fix your issues. Thanks.
This app is no good. They sent me an e-mail saying that I can access my wages and my balance has increased. When I went to the app and checked, they had changed the language to Spanish and it still says I have $0.00. Every time before I log in, I have to change the language to English. Then as soon as I'm logged in, everything is in Spanish again.
this app is very very very unreliable sometimes you can go a month without having access to your money because they had a glitch in the system. It happens frequently. when their system screws up there's nothing they can do for you. You have to wait until your job's next cycle ( which if you work bi-weekly like I do is a month) also no guarantee it fixes anything. if you by any chance NEED to use this app DONT cause if you're living paycheck to paycheck, this app will fail you 9 times out of 10
Delays delays delays... okay for the first month.. Now I have to wait an unknown amount of time before I can get my balance updated and receive my money. Of course customer service has a heavy accent so good luck with that. Im okay with a delay, but don't wait to the last minute and be like o yeah you will not be able to use this daily pay service starting in 2 days and we don't know when it will be working again. People depend on this app!!! fasting time.... Thanks 😊 daily pay your the best.
I know you're in need. please try to look away from this app. I found it a bit confusing and difficult to work. the AI support ( you have to make a new separate account for the support) is extremely limited. the fees will creep up on you fast and the direct deposit through them will hold your check an extra day. so you're trapped in a sense to make a withdrawal from them and pay the fee to move your money.
as all apps do, they improved, it lasted a few months, then they killed it. Not only can you not see the exact amount of hours you work (it doesn't include the decimal anymore), but you can't transfer more than 1k at once. I used to be transferring 1.8k, 1.6k, 1.5k, etc. but now it doesn't show you your exact hours, and it doesn't let you have freedom in transferring your money in whatever quantities you want.
I used to enjoy this alot, it was especially helpful for when I had bills I didn't have enough money for, it was simple I could just withdraw from my next paycheck early! that's the point! but ever since a recent update my balance has not been updated at all, constantly saying it's at 0.00$ when it shouldn't be. I really enjoyed keeping track of my earnings and having a reliable back up plan for financial emergencies but I haven't been able to do a withdrawal from daily pay for weeks.
So far it was great. No I'm concerned that I'm not getting all of my money. Called today and the customer service rep said they're working on updates to the software / app... I'm missing close to $40. That's from two shifts. That will add up fast if this keeps going.. and I hope it doesn't so I don't have to make other calls to get this sorted out. Loved it until this. Been using the app for well over 6 months with little to no issue that wasn't resolved fast. But this is different..
I love the idea of this service but it’s sketchy and the customer service reps are beyond rude! Let me explain, my bank account information continues to be disabled on the daily pay end. I’ve spoken with my bank and they only see several successful transactions. But on the daily pay side my bank account information gets disabled and I have to go back in and re-enter everything. I called customer service and I was told that the reason for this issue is my fault and I am not putting in the correct information. The women I spoke with refused to think any of this might be issues on their end. I had all of my, correct, bank information in front of me while I was on the phone with her. The lady kept trying to tell me that I didn’t have the correct information because my account number didn’t have enough numbers. My account number only has 6 numbers and she said that account numbers have between 8-10 numbers (because she googled this while on the phone with me) so I am missing something. Daily pay needs to get their crap together, own up to tech issues on their end and stop putting all the blame on their customers! I have since deactivated my account out of pure frustration! If my next paycheck doesn’t get deposited into my account I will be blaming daily pay 1000% due to their lack of ownership to the issues at hand! Moral of the story I wouldn’t recommend daily pay to anyone!!! Stay clear of this service!!!! Hey there, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re constantly working to improve our users’ experience and truly value your input. We’d appreciate the opportunity to make this right and reach a resolution.
