Shoddy product. Save yourself time and just get the printouts of the certificates you need. Spent over an hour getting all the documents together and getting the kids together to take photos etc. The app accepted everything, and I was thinking.. what a great product. A day later, the app refused to recognize the certificates for 2 passengers. No option to re-upload those certificates. The response from the support team was 'we recommend you start all over again'. Glad I took printouts!

It is only good if you are traveling to and from the US in similar time zone, and it does not have connection flights. For example, I was coming back from Thailand on the 2nd, connecting through Japan on the 3rd and arriving in the US on the 3rd. In order for me to board my flight in Thailand I have to take a PCR on the 1st in Thailand, but the app will not give me that option, only the connecting flight from Japan. When I used it coming back from Mexico is no problem.

The app is confusing and not intuitive. Generates error messages that are incorrect. (For example, "Internet connection not available" when in fact both Wifi and mobile data are available). On the plus side, once you successfully struggle through completing the info, the airline does speed you through check-in.

Unable to fetch when trying to upload necessary documents to verify. Please fix. Edit: ended up paying extra for quick verification but the app never worked. Didn't get fixed in time. Didn't get a refund, either. Advertising faster verification as a paid service, when the verification can't happen due to a software bug, is not good practice. Ended up having to verify everything in person. Took me under 5 minutes at airport. App waster 2 hours and never worked.

Just go to the gate. Only reason I got this app was the prompt while checking in to my flight. After submitting all the information, photos, etc. I was able to get the notice that I was ready to check in. But my travel companion was unable. So, I was given the option to list a travel companion, but they have to list themself. Now afraid my listing will impact hers if she creates an account. Faster to arrive early and just handle it all at the gate.

Useless. Doesn't work. Downloaded, created account, only to find that I couldn't add my trip information due to an error because I'm in a different time zone to - somewhere. It just froze and wouldn't let me advance any further. Also, I'm flying Aer Lingus to the UK via Dublin, but it will only take the US to Dublin leg, so it wouldn't have been any help at all when landing in the UK. I deleted my account and the app.

I wish I could give zero stars. The app is cumbersome and not user friendly. You cannot choose the originating flight if you're flying international with a connection only the connection. Uploading the requested documents is also a hassle. Per phone customer service they only verify COVID test results 6 hours prior to departure. This is absolutely useless should there be a problem with your results.

The app is basically useless. You jump through the hoops, put all the info in, get it approved and still need to show actual paperwork at the airport. Also, the timing for the tests is based on the first leg of your trip, not the international flight - and the app DOESN'T KNOW THIS! Rather than taking the time to do it right, they instead put in a "feature" where it asks for money to expedite your review. DO NOT PAY.

If I could rate this app a zero, I totally would. Completely useless. Unable to do anything with it, glitches, no clear help from support articles, kept giving error that test wasn't completed within 72 hours when it was. Can't add new trips entering the US, only options were outside US. It's absurd that American Airlines makes you use this app if you want to check in online. Save the headache and just get there early and check in at the airport.

Just didn't work. Two of us installed and spent plenty of time trying to upload documents. Android app simply wouldn't. Apple version uploaded, but then never transferred them to the airline though we uploaded 2 days before flying. We ended up presenting hard copies, lucky thing we could get them. I wish I could give a zero rating. Don't know what the airline is thinking even to use this thing.

Read the Privacy Policy, yikes! It is long, yet vague on many points, but from what I can read, they could share pretty much any personal information they collect with any affiliates, subsidiaries, third parties, or sell it as part of their business. They need to protect the user data a lot better, especially when dealing with potentially sensitive data like this app attempts to do. It must also be possible to write the policy in a way that normal users can read and understand in under 5 min.

Don't waste your time. This thing is really not ready for prime time. It wouldn't recognize my photo with glasses on as a face, then rejected it anyway unless I filled the frame completely. After all that, it told me that my flight number didn't exist. At that point, I just gave up. Despite what the airline claims, you don't need this piece of digital trash. Just check in at the kiosk and save yourself some stress.

Confusing. Every page takes many minutes to load. When I finally got the notice "Ready to travel,"and I clicked on "view pass," I could see my own pass but I could not see the pass for my husband. I had to call and ask how to find it. They told me to click on the right arrow, which was not obvious. There should be more explicit instructions to access each Traveler's pass.

Useless app, never works. I can't get pass the selfi step. Eight months later, I'm trying to use this app again on a new phone, when I fo to recover my account verisucks sends an email with a QR code to scan and a link to continue with the process, you can use either one, well, they don't work and now I'm stuck there. I'd give negative stars if I could.

Dumbest app ever. Completely useless. Couldn't get it to work right plus there was no guidance on how to work it. After many attempts to upload covid test info I said "f it" and just skipped it all together. Went to the airport, checked in with no problem. This was the dumbest idea ever. Why don't the airlines just improve their online presence and go through their apps instead? Don't waste your time.

Useless app. First it kept on not wanting to show options when searching for flight info. Then after typing the same information over a over, it would not update to show that it was complete after hitting "done". Well I thought that the worst was over but no.... Upload COVID proof only for not to allow me due to "technical issues" but wait..... Skip technical issues if you choose to PAY! I rather wait at immigration and customs than dealing with this waste of time for an app.

Doesn't work! I had a really hard time with it uploading the information for my outbound flight. After several attempts it did finally take it, but now the app won't open to add my return flight. There is no menu on the app, nothing just a blank page when I try to open it now. I came to the app store to reinstall it and saw all of the negative reviews. I'm not wasting my time on it.

HORRIBLE APP! Nothing works on it. If i coulsd enter 0 stars i would. Can't enter the needed information and apparently the airline personnel know it because they just told us to go to the counter and check in. Once we were at our destination we couldn't check in again because it only let's you create a trip before you leave the country. This app clearly got a contract that looks good on paper, but has little functionality.

A group of us wasted hours the night before our flight trying to upload documents. The app (on multiple phones) kept crashing. But the bigger problem was that we had all taken rapid covid tests, and when we uploaded those test results, there was no option in the drop down menu to choose a rapid test. We kept uploading over and over because some would get approved with the incorrect test selected, but most would get denied. We eventually got 10 people through, but it took over 4 hours.

Really annoying app. Had the common camera issue and had to redownload the app. Confusing dropdown menu doesn't account for flights operated under different contractors. So if you've an American Airlines flight operated by British Airways, for example, you will need to have both flight numbers on hand as you'll not know which is entered into the pre-programmed menu options. Also, hope the medic that wrote your vaccine card had good penmanship or you'll be loading a dozen times.

Simply excellent! Recently I travelled from NY JFK to Edinburgh Scotland via Ireland. On my way to Edinburgh the restrictions were well known and I uploaded all my info to VeriFLY and breezed through a crowded JFK the day before Thanksgiving, next day had all the info readily available to enter Ireland and then Scotland. While in Scotland everything changed, Omicron variant arrived and Ireland and USA restrictions changed. I tried to keep up with the changes, it was difficult. I looked at my VeriFLY app and everything was there, simply presented. I uploaded everything they said, arrived at Edinburgh airport to a chaotic scene, thought I could possibly miss my flight there was so many people. Got to check in, showed my VeriFLY app and breezed through the rest. Same happened in Dublin. Only thing I would have done differently is to buy my return COVID test from one of VeriFLY,s approved suppliers. I had a different one, VeriFLY said it would take up to 4 hours to review it, in reality it took less than an hour! You need this app - it is simply excellent!!

What is the point of an app with a monopoly on document verification, that does not recognize that many people have connecting flights ahead of an international departure? And that does not provide a warning about how that could affect the timing of COVID tests - which is the *whole point of the app*. We have an international flight that requires a 72-hr negative covid test. Fine. Got them and went to load them - blocked because the tests are supposedly outside the window. Because the app doesn’t allow us to start our trip from our home airport. We have two short legs before the international one. The country’s rules say that the clock starts *at the point of embarkation on the first leg of the trip*. Because of the travel time before our international departure (about 13 hours) VeriFly says our tests were taken outside the 72 hours, which they clearly were not under the rules. I called VeriFly (and that’s a whole other issue - I got their number from the airline not their site) and the person insisted that the app allows selecting connecting flights. That is not true; the app forces choices based on the last/direct. It’s really inexcusable. PS: been selecting nicknames to post this: “Not Hapoy” “Really Annoyed” and other similar ones already taken. Hey, VeriFly - fix your app!!

Recently used VeriFLY on trip from US to UK and Spain and back on American Airlines and British Airways. Checking in to flights in US, Spain and the UK showing my approval on VeriFLY made check in a breeze. Since I had uploaded my covid test, UK and Spanish travel plan documents, and vaccination status to VeriFLY in advance there was no need for me to show this paper documentation to the check in and customs agents at the airports. I was very pleased at how smooth VeriFLY made the process. However, the initial process of setting up trips and uploading documents in the app itself is very unintuitive and confusing. It’s pretty clear the app developers did little, if any, usability testing before launching the app. Or if they did, they tested it on engineers for whom the arcane process seemed clear. So give yourself lots of time before your trip to figure out how to use VeriFLY—like at least a week. If you try to use it last minute you are probably in for a world of frustration. Also, set up your trip in the app ahead of time, then upload all your vaccine, travel plan and covid test docs as soon as you have them—usually 48 hours before flying. Don’t wait until the last minute!

I downloaded this app to support an international flight on American Airlines. Download was easy and the system is mostly intuitive to use. However, I experienced problems uploading the Covid test results. Specifically I uploaded my test results and then my husband’s test results within minutes of each other using primarily the same data for location, provider, and results. My husband’s results were reviewed and accepted within 20 minutes. My results were rejected stating my document didn’t meet requirements. Interesting that my document looked exactly like my husband’s which they accepted. I resubmitted it starting from scratch twice more before it was accepted. Aggravating to say the least. Then for the return flight, the American Airlines app wouldn’t allow checking until the return Covid test results were uploaded but the VeriFLY app did not provide a function for the return portion of the trip on the international side. It also wouldn’t let me add a new trip for the return from the international side. The app does not support return trip upload of Covid docs st all and provides no customer support to address the problem. It could be a useful app but needs major work to function properly, consistently, and for round trip purposes.

I’ve used this app once in the winter of 2021 to go from the US to Canada and the check in process was flawless! It states it takes about an hour to process my negative COVID results and it was true. Now, I am preparing for a trip from US to Canada once again and everything was going well until Verifly couldn’t complete my form because I needed to confirm my citizenship (which I am a citizen of the US.) I couldn’t continue with my check in online because of the app locking the feature of me verifying my citizenship until 3 days before my return flight and after contacting customer support by email (kind of wish I was able to communicate by call, but email is the only form of communication it seems), they told me it would be best to just check in at the airport. I would’ve loved to have been able to save time by checking in online, although I understand how there could be a bug or two in an app. I do hope they can either fix this or revise it considering that us travelers would need to arrive earlier at the airport because of these issues. Hopefully everyone else will have a better experience and a safe travels!
