good at first, but after a few months, it wouldn't let me import songs. Whenever I did, it would crash and not import, even if I did it quickly and placed the sound down so it's applied. It crashes once more and the sounds gone. I just deleted it and redownload it, but it keeps doing the same thing. (update!!) I followed your suggestions by deleting some of my files, and it works now! I think it was just storage problems but tysm for the help!!
the app is real good! but here are the problems, when I add audio and synch it and play from the beginning the audio from the start starts at the middle of the audio, and after a millisecond it starts. number two, the hide button is really helpful, but there isn't a redo and undo button there, please fix that. last,can you add a lineart pen? I'm using the calligraphy pen with 100% stability and it's pretty good, but a lineart pen would probably look better. thenkyou!
I’ve been using FlipaClip for about a year now and let me just say this is one of the BEST mobile animating softwares. There is a pretty much easy to use UI and and many good features like adding sounds and videos/pictures. What I think that would make FlipaClip much of an easier app to edit animations further, is by adding a blur pen tool, that allows you to blur anything at any opacity. This would definitely save more time from shrinking and blowing up drawn images to blur them
Hello, I’ve been using flipaclip for three years almost and I’ve grown attached to it, but I am here to complain about its newest update. I find it hard to use because I have a iPhone XR and with the swipe up to view all previous tabs gets in the way of animating because well, it’s like the home button and I keep exiting out from flipaclip it’s a real pain. But with the older version of flipaclip it doesn’t have that issue. I wish there could be a way to switch between the versions. With its new look it feels like it’s brand new and it doesn’t feel right or comfortable I keep looking at my other animations and see that they are much better than the ones I am currently making it’s easier to play back and forth between frames and it’s not only me who is complaining but a few of my other friends who also used flipaclip before it got its update. It makes us beginner animators very upset to start from the beginning all over again it’s like losing motivation and making a bunch of WIPS instead only find yourself going nowhere. So please, I suggest there should be a way for animators who use flipaclip to revert between the old version and the new version not only would it make the people I know happy but it’d be a win for everyone. Some people like the newer version they can have it, others don’t like it they can have their old friend back! So please I hope you think or at least take a moment to consider this. This app is so amazing and useful if you want to be good at animating, especially because it has layers, and if you have the premium version like me, it can also give you the option to add an unlimited number of layers instead of just 3, I also like that they have onion skin, which is a ghost version of the previous drawing if you didn't know, and not only that, but it can also be colored red and green depending on how you set the “layers before” and “layers after” thing higher, there is just one more thing that I'd like to mention, I can do other cool things like adding voice, music, or just any old type of audio from my files, and I can copy keyframes very easily, and if you guys have that problem where you end up not copying every single layer, you can always hold a keyframe down and then you'll have the option to add a frame onto the next frame or the previous frame and even add a blank frame on the next frame or previous frame, this is a perfect way to add in -betweens on your animation, so anyway, that's it for my rating. I would like to suggest a few things for an update, for example, when you use the fill bucket tool, you can decide how transparent the color will be. I’d also like to make a suggestion, I was thinking it would be a good idea to add a button that says “ lip-sync”. When you press that button, the app listens to the audio you added to your animation, and then it adds a set of mouths that will match the sound you're making. Thank you for your detailed review. Hello Flipaclip creators, I love this app because it is great for beginners at animation and people who either not draw on paper, or can not find an app to animate or draw on. I have found a few bugs that need to be fixed, the first one I found was that when I was doing a simple animation when it started crashing every time I tried to play it or slide the frames, it really annoyed me so I did not do the animation anymore until it started to affect my phone, so all of my movies and animations had to be deleted because I had to delete the app for it to be able to work I know it is not just me who had gone through the app crashing. The second one I found was that, my Flipaclip did something that didn't like, it made me not being able to slide the frames and if I wanted to play the animation it would go slower or faster then I put the frame speed to be, and like the first I had to delete my Flipaclip again because it was affecting my phone. The last one I found was, the Comeback Contest, it was going slower than the frames should be and the paint bucket wouldn't work, same with the highlighter, and the pencil. The same thing happened to my friend who was also doing the contest. I also would like if the new audio update would work because when it came out I deleted the app and got it again but when I got it again there wasn't the update and again the same thing happened to my friend. I love everything about FlipaClip and I have had no problems that bother me or just minor issues that don't bother or affect me using the app at all. This app is truly spectacular and I've used this app every since I got it about some years ago. When I see other people say that FlipaClip is a poor app I wonder what goes on their head if it's a problem with their device or something else because this app is the best for animating on a mobile device in my opinion. My only problem that bugs me is that when I set a size for a font, lets say 50 (I've been trying to do that size) it would quickly change to a higher size like 61 (what it's been changing to for me) and I've had to quickly fix it so it wouldn't happen again and it's irritating. I have nothing against the creators or the app itself but if something could be done about the issue, that would great. :) Also a recent problem has occured after drawing pictures for a little over 30 frames where after drawing the outline I try to use the paint bucket and it colors over the whole entire frame including the outline and I have to color it in the layer under it instead which is time-consuming and is very frustrating. It's never had this issue before and my sister said this has started happening, as well. Thank you for your detailed review. Honestly, The app is great, I learned animation with this thing, also it's really good for those who make memes. There's a problem, I can't add a video and make animation about it because they are premium, only photos are not premium? Seriously! Make some stuff available for animators! And that was my request. Yes, there are a bunch of ads, but they're actually quite avoidable. What this app has over Ibis paint is the multiple frames select, allowing you to copy/paste a funny little looping section without being tedious; and the cute little preset colors I like to pick from since I'm often a bit lazy. I also like how it's not some crazy high resolution, making my drawing not feel like they must be perfect, and just giving them an overall more charming effect.
Hey, flipaclip team. I gave this a 4 star. Don't get me wrong. The app is really great. It introduces animating to a lot of people. It's easy to learn and really convenient. with dedication, you can create a whole movie with just a screen and a finger. Now, one improvement, or a change I would make, is the audio importing. It's not really convenient when you have to watch an ad or buy a whole subscription when you just started animating. Other than that, everything is good. Thank you.
Really love this app. It's a good animation software and I've been using it for 5 years now. However, one thing I really hate is when sometimes I want to add another layer or another audio, it'll ask me to watch an ad. It then says, "No ad available. Try again?" I keep pressing that same button 5 times, still won't budge. Then when I close out of my animation project, it shows me an ad despite saying there was no ads available. This has been occurring for a few days now and it's been annoying.
I like it. Suggestion. Pls add an undo merge layers option... I had an animation that I loved. I clicked the wrong button... boom. My whole project was ruined... I've always tried to animate, and that was my first good looking one... now because of a dumb mistake I had an hours worth of work wasted
The glow color slider is stupid, have preference options for what picker you want. Because if you want a specific color, it's REALLY tedious sliding till it's just right. But if you want the same color on different layers, you can't do that unless you have the best eyes known to man. Other than that, I like using the app, simple, and you could make nice art with it.
Bought the premium and it's such a life saver! The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the bucket tool. It such a pain to color with! It will only stay in the lines of a layer that also has lines on it, this causes me to have to individual color each from or duplicate the lineart layer and color with the bucket tool on that. Please, you fixing this thing will make it soooo much better!
This is a pretty good animating app that I've been using for nearly 6 years now. It's very good for beginners who want to get into animating, and there being a free plan makes it really good incase they don't really like it or something. However, a lot of good features are locked behind a pay wall. Also, I'd love to be able to set audio volume to over 100, preferably up to 500 or 1000, as the audio can sometimes be really quiet, even at 100.
This app is so good, and it's evolving so much, the only problem I have is the pixelation just normally, but it does look smooth from far overall, but a few more problems I have is when you put in a image it pixelates it, and when you put in a video you can't resize it and when you do with the lasso it doesn't apply to other frames, and that you need to enable the new stage to get the smudge and blur tools, I wish it could be added to the old stage, overall it's so good, Ive used it for 5+ yrs.
I LOVE this app. It's great for beginners interested in learning the simple steps. Its not so great for people wanting to do more complex animations, considering how simple the features are. I especially love the update, it has a way more interesting and pleasing look, and the rounded corners I like more that rectangles. A few suggestions or problems I have are with the paint bucket tool. When filling in a gap, it still has tiny white dots inside, even when increasing the opacity.
I liked it until I realized I can't move any of my work to my new phone. Update: I paid to backup the files, so I added them to my Google drive. After I got the files onto the new phone, the .fc file wasn't recognized, although FlipaClip was already installed! The support guy said I had to install the Google Files file manager, not use the already builtin My Files on my Samsung. Annoyed I had to install another file manager, but it worked.. I like this app, you can be very creative w/ it.
Great app for animating! The app makes animating really fun. My only 'complaint' is that there's no import text font feature. That would be really nice to see. Mostly because I want a pixel font lol. My other issue is that the app crashes when I tap on a project sometimes. Luckily, it's not as often as it was before, but I would like to see the crashing be fixed soon.
This app is great; it really is. But recently, the app hasn't been going smoothly than I hoped for. Firstly, this premium and subscription thing is kind of a bummer because in order to use Premium/Plus features (that should've been free), you have a big pay wall. And the app is starting to get money hungry. And second, the ads. Most of the time, they are very avoidable. However, now, whenever I see an ad, I am unable to close it, which prevents me from animating. Please fix.
The reason I gave this 3 stars, is because EVERYTIME I'm trying to make a animation, it just shows the flipaclip animation when you open the app or it doesn't save my changes, even sometimes it just kicks me off the dang app! IM WORKING HARD TO MAKE THESE ANIMATIONS AND THIS APP IS NOT RESPECTING THAT! Visual Blasters, fix your animation maker game, I don't think you got rid of the bugs. I CANT EVEN FINISH MY ANIMATION IN PEACE!
The app is alright, although I wish there were more brushes. Also, I don't like some of these bugs or whatever this is. So I'll use the airbrush, which gives that glare effect, bright effect from light, and sometimes when I use it it'll look bigger than the number of pixels I set it to. I also don't like how whenever I click on a frame and wanna delete it, it doesn't work so I have to click off the frame and click on it again, even a couple to a few times to delete the frame ☹️.
I would say overall very good app except for the fact that you can't import audio without having to pay a monthly subscription like why can't we just add audio without having to pay for it like at this point your just getting rid of the audio option and people just want to add audio not more money wasted from their account. I am very disappointed.
so.. theres a lot to say. this used to be an amazing app, and I used it for frame-by-frame work. Now? You can't do much without a subscription. I understand they need money to keep the app up, or work on things in it. But this all used to be free! You could just watch an ad for it. At least make adding more layers free. I mean, I understand you need money, but it's a little overwhelming at this state..
Its pretty good and basic, easy to learn hard to master things. But literally everything is being blocked behind a pay wall. Basic things like exporting audio you need to watch an add for, which I'm fine with, but I've been having a bug where it plays the add's audio but doesn't show it so I can't add the audio. Plus the fact that you need to pay to remove the watermark in the bottom. The worst part though, is the fact that it's so easy to use that I can't seem to switch to another animation app
Okay, I'm gonna delete flipaclip. I paid one time for the full version a while ago, and it's consistently been something I've doodled on since. I don't know when the change happened but I can't stand subscription based models. The app I used being ripped away out of nowhere, is awful (layers, folders-and features I had access to are now blocked behind a paywall-idk what that means for my projects). The ads are annoying and the UI change isn't doing it for me. Sincerely, I'm disappointed.
I did the one time premium purchase to get the extra features years back, it was great, $7 or so for unlimited layers and lots of other cool things. I took a break and came back not only to find a ton of things that were and should be free behind a pay wall, but without refunding me or even notifying me, my premium status was removed and I was left with less than before I bought it. Completely scummy and unprofessional. People should either be refunded or grandfathered in. Insanely greedy.
fell off, hard. Flipaclip use to be great, not anymore- nothing but ads and subscriptions. I get the ads, really I do but why is it that I can watch an ad 3 times in a row and not get a single reward? That's scummy. I remember really enjoying flipaclip as a kid, but now it's not fun any more cause it's so greedy now, I'm moving to rough animator a 1 time purchase that actually looks fun to animate on. This app is "ok" for beginners but I recommend trying anything else but this if you can.
The app has gone down hill, in my opinion. It's a lot more pricey and things that should be free, like layers, isn't. But that's besides the point. I was doing a free trial for the app and cancelled the subscription so that it wouldn't charge me after the free trial. It charged me 30 dollars for the yearly subscription anyways. I've been trying to get my money back since February! Nothing has worked.
