The app needs work. This review is for the app and not the fight pass service. There is no option for offline viewing, so every video is a stream, which this app sucks at. You can't fast forward without the playback freezing and having to start over. Live streams that I've watched were VERY problematic and important exchanges were missed due to freezing. If I'm expected to pay this much for a service this frustrating app can't deliver, what's the point?
I love the content, but the user interface is just a pain. It's so difficult to find any show I want to watch other than the live events. For example I was trying to watch all the episodes of the ultimate fighter and ended up having to use hulu. I couldn't keep track of what episode I was on since it doesn't track what episodes you have watched.
UFC Fight Pass is fantastic - if you watch it on anything other than the mobile app. When viewing content on my computer via the website the service is flawless and there is a wealth of content available for viewing. However, the app consistently closes for no apparent reason, searching for a particular fighter/fight can be frustrating, and many videos just simply fail to load, with the app stating "something went wrong." Most videos are about 50/50 on whether they will actually play or not.
Good selection of content that I'll watch on Roku, but for the price the video player sucks on mobile. It completely restarts the video *if your screen cuts off at any time for any reason*. So for someone like me who was looking forward to using it at work by locking the phone when a client shows up then when they left keep watching a fight it's worthless.
Junk, dont waste your time or your money. Even when I purchased a fight on PPV, I had terrible technical issues that made it nearly impossible to watch. Dont think youll be able to watch very much. This app is very misleading. I could rarely watch anything, it was either blocked out or simply wouldnt play. Not to mention its the worste app to try and navigate. Ive paid for this subscription for almost a year and every bit was a complete waste!! Dont waste your time or money!
App need major bug fixes. Tired of paying 9.99 a month for an app that never works. When it does its great! Was able to watch some fights yesterday and all was good, but as of today for some reason it thinks I don't have a subscription. Even when I restore the purchase in the settings, everything is still locked. This happens (at least) 80% of the time. If this isn't fixed will definitely be canceling my subscription when this month is over, and wouldn't recommend this app to anyone. Waste of💸
Horrible interface. Won't remember your subscription. And now it won't restore your subscription. Paid for 2 months that I couldn't even use because it doesn't recognized my subscription and wouldn't restore it. Won't let me login through Chrome even after I reset my password. When you watch a series, it doesn't play the next episode automatically or load that series to a watch next list. If you want to watch the next episode you have to search for it and scroll through everything.
I am paying money for this and I can barely watch fights. The amount of content is astounding. You can watch just about any fight, fighter, or event in most of MMA. But that means nothing when the app fails to function most of the time. I have this app running almost constantly and it crashes more than any other program I've ever seen. It is constant. It's very frustrating and never seems to be fixed. Seems worse than usual lately. Great content, terrible app.
Maybe good service, really bad app. Every screen opens to "this content is unavailable", if I do manage to get past that the layout and navigation of the site is horrendous. Actually getting to the fight you want to see, and past the 11 videos that look like the one you want is frustrating. For every fight that's on here there are 10 times that in non fighting content.
Literally the worst app of any major sports brand. It doesn't have the rankings. When you click rankings, it only shows the champion in each division. When you click the division, it lists them alphabetically. It redirects to BT Sports in your browser if you want to see upcoming card matchups, you have to have ESPN+ to even see fight cards. This is ridiculous. This app is literally good for absolutely nothing.
