Unable to cancel subscription. SoundCloud says go to the app store and I find no subscription there. Seems like they're trying robbing people of their money, or make it very difficult to cancel. Once again, I can't find the subscription and it feels like it's intentional. Would not recommend getting a subscription, unless you want to get a new card to stop paying thieves, which I have to do now. Decent app, YT is better. Big L from soundcloud.
Its a way better alternative to Spotify. But there's a TON of songs that are only accessible if you pay, which seems a bit greedy to me imo. Apart from that, there's ads if you dont pay too, though thats whatever. My main issue is not being able to listen to a lot of the songs I want to. Entire albums are blocked. Kinda greedy. :/
I've been using this since maybe about 2013-2015. I have always found it a bit difficult to find music, but eventually, I'd find it and create playlists for my moods. However, I'm not sure what happened. I recently went on to listen to my music and one of my playlists, and almost all of the music I saved is gone and can not be found. I've cancelled my subscription and will go back to using the version with ads.
As a producer this SoundCloud is a scam. I tried their service and it failed to deliver my music to different platforms. Distrokid deliver my music on promised platforms without a problem. It is a lot easier to navigate and it cost half less than SoundCloud. The ads are ridiculous on your app, I can't believe I was asked to pay extra to just remove ads on a platform that is over priced as it is, this should of been included with my plan then on top of that $0.0002 per stream???
Very solid app!! My main issues are the ads (which have gotten more annoying over time) and the payment plan format, which blocks a lot of songs behind a paywall. If you already have a good music app you like I wouldn't really recommend switching, but it is honestly a really good platform on both the app and website. Also, a note in case someone at the company reads this: A feature that'd truly make SoundCloud stand out would be having multiple queues open at once that you can switch between :]
