The only downside to this app is that you can't pause or rewind like you can with the DAZN or TNT app. Disappointing tbh considering you've already paid the box office charge to watch the event. We all need the toilet at some point or more importantly to get another beer. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.
Lucky I had a laptop and managed to use the desktop viewer. Downloaded this app on two different Android devices and received a pop-up message saying either 'error ppv3000_xx' or 'ppv3002-xxx'. A search on the internet came up with no info on these errors. A customer should not receive such error messages. A useful message and additional Info on how to resolve the problem should be displayed. It's a big disappointment to experience these problems just as an event is starting.
I have just bought the Khan vs Brook fight. Downloaded the app. Surely the negative reviews are old and exaggerated? Unfortunately, if the undercard is anything to go by, it’s worse than most illegal streams. Sometimes it’s in HD, but it’s constantly breaking up and freezing. Btw, my internet and device are of the best quality. The app however is unbelievably bad. The quality better improve by 10pm (fight time).
Same as previous comments, not very good quality of streaming, missed the last few minutes all together, picture just disappeared, only sound left. just a money making machine, very expensive but you don't get what you paid for.
Disappointed! Not being able to cast to a TV Screen from this app is ridiculous in this day and age. So in other words, I paid the same £19.99 for the boxing the other night to watch it on my tablet as someone with a 60 inch TV! Either bring in the ability to cast, or reduce the price for those having to watch on a mobile or tablet, its not rocket science!!
Supports casting but not with the newer Google TV Chromecast models, which doesn't make a lot of sense. Fortunately I did have an older Chromecast ultra at hand but it's really poor to not have support for a mainstream device that's been on the market for over 4 years now.
Absolute pants. Paid £25 for the AJ fight and the screen wouldn't go any bigger than about four inches on my Chromebook. It buffered the whole time (I did internet speed checks and it wasn't my end) and kept going distorted. Appalled how they can charge that much and give you something so unfit for purpose.
Considering how much money goes through this for big fights, and for how long it has been so poor at showing them, it is criminal that sky have continued allowing this app to perform so poorly. I've used it 3 times, and have wanted a refund every time.
Awful streaming app. Spent 15 quid on the Arsenal game spent 3/4 of the first half with a blurry stream. My Internet speed is normal, ran it up to check. Not even going to bother with second half as the quality is so bad. Keep the 15 quid, I will never use this app again. I'll just find a stream online in future. Awful experience.
The WORST viewing experience in modern history. The app is infuriatingly restricted (have to have NowTV box/stick, doesn't work on Mac Air), and when I finally got to download it to my Android phone, after I've paid, when I go to stream it and cast to my TV it does allow casting! What business is it to Sky if I want to cast to my TV?!?! Ridiculous, throw this app in the bin, along with the entire rip-off culture that this brand leads and represents.
Refund!! Absolute shambles!!! 😫 I have just bought the Pay Per View for the Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith PPV fight night, I cannot chromecast this app to bigscreen TV, as it keeps saying error cannot play..the whole point of myself buying this was to see it on my big TV but you cannot do it!! also the broadcast is buffering which is absolutely 💯 horrendous, I'm want a full refund of £19.99p SKY, this is not good enough, also this Broadcast should be 4k UHD!!! Avoid this app.
Awful!! Paid £19.95 to miss a lot of boxing! The picture pixelated as if there was rain on the camera, or the sound cut out, or the last 20 seconds would get stuck in a loop, or the screen would just freeze so could only hear the commentary, or a simple error stating there is an issue!! Nothing wrong with my internet, serious problem with this app, or Sky Box Office! Visit your local pub or a friends house to watch whatever you want to see, as this is very frustrating and a waste of money!!
I open the app to buy the khan brook fight, but you can't buy the fight through the app, you have to go to the website. You go to the website, click "book now", this wants you to sign in. If you don't have an account there's no button to register. The whole app and interface needs to be redesigned.
Horrendous app. Spent an hour messing about, having to constantly log back in, install a player, etc. Only to have a terrible stream quality for £20. Also blocking casting, refusing to allow box office via Now TV app, playstation app, firestick, etc. Trying to force you to spend £20 to watch an event on your phone. It feels like Sky is deliberately making their customer experience as awful as possible. Why? I'm not sure sure...
This has happened twice now... Paid to watch boxing on the app via my iPhone as I’m a non sky customer My plan was to mirror my phone onto my smart tv so we could all watch the fight. WRONG!!!! Would not let me so I tried streaming it to my chrome cast will no luck so then downloaded the app on the smart tv, logged in and still would not let me watch it on my tv. Went on live chat and was told that the app does not support mirror screening and/or smart tv This is purely to stop us (the customer!!) from getting together to watch an event so we all have to buy it to watch on a tablet..... SKY SPORTS APP allows you to screen mirror as do all other per per view services like BT but not Sky Box Office Deliberate to make more people buy the events Never again
I used to be with sky and got rid of it a Couple Of years ago because I was paying for repeats and adverts ! This app is even worse you can’t even log into it I've requested password resets three times and had no response there’s no number to ring for help or any other help I’ve sent Emails you name it nothing ! It’s probably because of they're greed they want you to get fed up with live streaming and trying to log into the app and join sky again paying for a package that’s an absolute rip off no wonder people buy illegal boxes to watch PPV sports !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paid for AJ vs the fat Mexican 2 and the stream was appalling, was hoping the BT sport offering for Fury Vs the Dosser 2 would be decent but just check the app reviews. Seriously if you read this, you will honestly find it easier to illegally stream this fight for free than pay for it and it not work. The same goes for BT. Everyone should just stream illegally until they make the product worth the price. The fact that it’s only on a specific box office app for both sky and BT stinks to me it’s like they’re aware people won’t be able to watch the fights they pay for but honestly don’t care. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLETS ILLEGALLY STREAM YOUR PPV FIGHTS UNTIL SKY AND BT SORT THIS SHAMBLES OUT
Paid £24 to watch the Anthony Joshua fight. Downloaded this rubbish app and could not even sign in as the app was frozen. Deleted and reinstalled it several times with no difference. Did not receive an email with any details of how to watch the fight from Sky as promised when they took my money. Only received emails acknowledging my complaints had been received. Overall I would suggest watching these events in a pub and saving your money for drinks. Then stop paying for any Sky subscriptions and use alternative media services until Sky learn that the customer experience should be their first and foremost priority.
Absolutely disgusting. After paying £26 to watch a popular fight , you'd think the quality of the stream would be too a good standard. Piss poor quality all the way through. Didn't see the fight at all tbh , just hearing the reactions of the audience. Everything was slow motion. At this point I feel robbed and would want a FULL refund but there clearer enough to have that in term in conditions. All I know , NEVER again.
Terrible streaming quality, and can't stream to your TV. I wish I had read the reviews. I have spent £27 to watch a fight and the quality may aswell be from a dodgy stream somewhere. It's awful, constantly buffering and pixilated... the app does not allow you to share your phone screen to you tv and as a result you spend almost £30 to watch boxing on a tiny phone screen. I cannot understand how Sky can get away with this given that it's clearly been an issue for years. Disgusting company.
This is the worst experience. You pay for a fight(26.95) and can only watch it using the now tv smart stick, which isn't available to buy from the now tv company. This has made the price for a smart stick skyrocket to £40. So to watch the boxing thr customer has to pay £70. This app needs to be made available to more providers such as roku, and also tv manufactures.
