This is an app that's finally true to it's pitch. I'm past level 200 and have yet to have one ad. There a few mini levels throughout where you play a timed match level to save the king, but overall it's a nice color match game. The levels seem to be the right amount of difficult and there's always prizes and things going on, so you can collect those. I'd recommend it to anyone to try out. I hope it doesn't change.

I’ve been playing for a few months now and I switched teams to an amazing team that actually plays and gives lives. Some things I’ve noticed about this game: Levels that are categorized as nothing, hard, very hard & super hard. I think that’s crap with some of them. I would not say it’s luck when I get through a hard level or even super hard level in one or 2 lives without using any power boosters in the beginning of playing the level. I’m on a normal level now that is not categorized as hard or super hard. It should be categorized as super hard. When it can take me 2 days to get past a level, yeah, I would consider that to be hard to super hard. I really think they just throw that label on any level. I feel like it’s all preset. Has anyone else noticed that when you get 30 minutes of free lives, no matter how easy or hard the levels are, you’ll get through one, maybe two levels then you’ll get stuck on an easy level for the remainder of the 30 minutes? Once the 30 minutes is almost up, you’ll get through the level. All in all, the game is fun. You don’t need to buy anything which is nice. Also, they always coming up with new ads for the game with helping out the kind but there aren’t any of those levels once you get passed a certain point of the game. That would make it more fun.

This is my second attempt at a review. Don’t know why my other never showed up. I’ve been playing Royal Match for over a year. I have been both on a team and playing solo. Likes: Graphics are great, there are no ads, you don’t have to pay any real money (and I never have) in order to keep advancing. Being on a team can be a lot of fun as it has a chat feature so you can form a camaraderie with your teammates, as well as get more lives than if you play solo (15 more). Don’t likes: Reaching Royal League status (when you’ve completed all the existing levels until the next update—which comes every 2 weeks) does not feel like a privilege; it feels like a punishment. It makes it harder to help the team during the team battles. Finding the right team to suit you can be a challenge. Fortunately, one can leave and switch teams, if one is not a good fit. Or just play solo, which I am doing now—however, you’ll then only have a max of 5 lives, another con. Some levels can take me days to pass, so it can get very frustrating. Overall, the game is of high quality and keeps me challenged and coming back for more. One of my current favorite games to play!

FINALLY A GAME WITH NO ADS!!!!!!! Only bad thing. When you fail to complete a level, it gives you the option to continue playing with a certain amount of moves, but the price is stupid. For 5 more moves, it's literally 900 coins. That may not be a problem for veteran players who have been playing the game long enough to be loaded, but for newer players, it drains your bank. It's very frustrating when you can literally win in a move. Please fix it. Also, a match 3 game, not a save the king game.

Fun game. It is a Match-3 game with little challenges every now and then where you do actually have to save the King from some situation he is in. You don't really need to be connected to Wifi unless you want to log in to your social media account to save your progress. And there are no pesky ads to watch during game play. There are in-app purchases, but whether or not you choose to spend that money is all on you. I do recommend this game... It is a great time waster casual game.

Fun! No wifi needed. The main match 3 game is fun, and having a few side game options keeps things interesting. Many match 3 games are too challenging, and you end up frustrated because you have to spend all your resources just simply trying to get through the levels. This game isn't like that. (So far. I'm level 386). My only criticism is that I wish the room decorating part was more interactive. Like giving choices of different decor to use.

I enjoy this game a lot, but I think the cost to continue to play or the cost of the helps are a bit steep. The coins you get for finishing a level aren't enough to help replenish what you have to spend if you pay to keep playing. Also when the bombs explode, I think it should clear the board totally but it doesn't always do that, leaving one obstacle on the board or making next to impossible to finish a level without having to pay extra to finish.

It's a pretty good time killer/waster, but I think it's really geared to just take your money because some levels are just impossible, and there aren't enough ways to get unlimited play time. I think every day should start with a free 30 minutes unlimited lives. And some of the challenges( like passing 7 consecutive levels on the first try) is really a useless challenge since it's virtually impossible.

Doesn't seem fair to have to play another equally hard level after passing a Super Hard or Hard level. If the level is considered an easy level, then make it that. Some of the so-called easier levels are harder to pass than the actual hard levels. Also, why not double the stars for passing harder levels, that just makes sense. It takes too long to progress in this game being given only one star. More stars are deserved for putting in the hard work to pass them.

Meh. It was fun. Puzzle 1-800 and easy and fun enough. After puzzle 800 they all get a bit more challenging. After puzzl3 1000, good luck. I had a 793 puzzle winning streak from puzzle 1-800. Now I'm lucky to be able to win 1 maybe 2 puzzle a day. Some days I'm stuck on a puzzle for days. I don't spent money on games. Not much fun when you can't beat a puzzle for days. Was looking for a game to pass my down time, not stress me out.

Definitely a "pay to win" game. If you have money and time, don't worry, you're always going to be able to purchase your way to win the competitive parts of the game. I gave it three stars though because it is free to play, with offline play, and you can eventually be at the levels without purchasing anything. Just plan on spending weeks at a time trying to beat one level. they also give daily boosts, another reason for the 3 stars. the 5 lives is annoying with a half an hour wait to get another

The type of games you see in the ads is about every 10 levels it seems. The other games you play are match 3 but it requires you to get a certain number of items within a certain number of moves. I downloaded for the games in the ads, not whatever the rest is. I hate these that only give me a certain number of moves. As usual, the game is not what they portray in ads. Sad. Uninstalled.

Just like almost every other game available here the fix is in with this one as well. First of all the advertisements for it whilst playing other games and having to watch endless ads shows levels “saving the king” which only very rarely appear during actual game play. Secondly it’s all about the money. I’m on level 374 and over and over and over and over again I cannot beat the level. It’s not because I don’t know HOW to beat it, it’s just that the game never gives you what you need. For instance if the goal is to collect a certain number of a pink gem it makes sure you get fewer than that number before you run out of moves. Then you have the option to spend coins that are exceeding difficult to earn unless you are gifted with a rare bonus level. NINE HUNDRED COINS to get an additional THREE moves! And you still don’t get what you need, then to get three more moves it’s 1900 coins. But once you give in and spend the coins you’re done, it will only rarely let you win on the first try because now its in their algorithm that you are stupid enough to buy something from them. These developers should be ashamed of themselves because it really is just about robbing people. They figured that out during the pandemic. Do some research to see how much money they raked in while people were quarantined.

It’s a pretty standard match 3 game like many others. Has some fun and interesting gameplay mechanics and so more frustrating ones that quickly get left behind after their section is over (thank goodness). Many of the more difficult levels are dependent on having powerups. The game is fairly generous with powerups and if you join a good team you shouldn’t be lacking in them. However if you do run out you will be stuck on certain missions for ages. They make them just possible enough that they can be beaten without spending money but you have to get insanely lucky with the RNG. If you’re willing to whip out your wallet then you’re in luck! No matter how little or how much money you spend the game will reward you by making the levels trivially easy for a short time period. I was stuck on a “very hard” level for ages, attempting it at least 100 times with and without powerups, I purchased 1 USD worth of coins and my next attempt I beat it with more than half of my attempts left. For about an hour after that the game pretty much played itself, dropping combos in a cascade never seen before purchasing those coins. I would beat levels in 3 turns out of 30! Exact same scenario happened the next time I was stuck on a level and purchased 1 USD worth of coins. So if you’re ever stuck just remember to whip out the old wallet and you’ll be rewarded with free wins.

I really like playing this game but it is so expensive to play it’s ridiculous. You have to spend 1900 coins just to get three helps with the hammer, and most of the other ones run about 3900 coins. I have spent so much money on this game trying to pass these levels it’s ridiculous. I can’t keep doing it so sometimes I’ll just spend time going over and over again on it trying different ways, but like I said even though it’s a fun game it’s very expensive and I’m sure the developers, etc, are making a ton of money off this game. They need to lower the amount of coins that you need to spend to get helps. Then if you want to buy helps with your own money that can be expensive. 1000 coins for $1.99 can go super quick, as well as $4.99 to $6.99 for some of the lower price packets where you might get anywhere from 5000 to 14,000 coins, but again that could go in about five minutes if you’re trying to pass a level. I think the most I spent at one time was $9.99 for some coins and some hops and like I said it doesn’t last long. The game isn’t really designed to help you progress, especially as you go up each level where it gets harder and harder, and don’t give me all the algorithms are designed for this or that. I’ve been playing this game long enough that I can see how it works. You keep saying that all levels are beatable without having to buy anything or using boosters, but only certain levels are.

After you clear the initial levels the game becomes increasingly difficult, which is fine. However, even with strategy higer levels essentially require bonus items. Sure, maybe you can beat a hard level after a number of days, but it's a cash grab to buy those items. Personally I would stay away unless you're looking to spend money to be a top player. To be clear, the first 150 or so boards weren't bad, but once you cross 200 it gets ridiculous.

well the game was a lot of fun in the beginning but as usual they ruin it for you after your hooked and give you puzzles that in no way can you win with the moves they give you and the only way to get passed the level is to spend money. Beware! if you give them money, then they will make it so you can only pass a couple levels before making you have to spend more. You will always end up needing one more move to win a level unless you buy more. This game is greedy and take the fun out.

This game is fun at first but, having played it for a few months I've noticed a pattern. The game marks some levels as Super Hard but many of the levels that are not marked are actually much harder. It prevents you from completing them, offering extra turns if you spend coins. Eventually, when the algorithm gives up trying to get you to spend money, it lets you win the level. Rinse and repeat for each level. This seems to have gotten worse over the last week. I think it's rigged.

Stops being fun when you have to pay to play. After about 130 levels, you need to use special items to beat the levels, and if you run out, you need to buy them with real money. Or you can try the level 75 times until the computer actually gives you what you need (each try is random, so there's no way to learn and fix your mistakes) but you only get 5 lives and then you have to wait 30m per try. The only reason I made it so long with this game is because it doesn't have freaking ads. All done.

Good for a few days, then not. The first 200 or so levels were very fun, then progressively difficult to the point of frustration. You'll have to pay for boosts every couple of levels to progress, or else just keep losing the same level over and over, waiting for timed free lives. I've paid one-time fees to remove ads on apps I like, but I'm not robbing my piggy bank every day to play a casual game. Sadly, uninstalling this one.

This game has gotten so much harder. I have noticed when you hit a target it doesn't disappear or diminish it's appearance like it should it is free to play , but they want you to pay to play to complete the puzzle. It's getting really frustrating. Out of 50 players almost 45 players on my team stopped playing. Why is it so hard to get the last of the gold cards to complete the collection and if we can't send gold cards out why do we get duplicates.

Do not play this game. The company only exists to extort money from players. They constantly change the rules to make the game harder to play, trying to force players into buying things like extra lives and "coins" that are normally rewarded throughout the course of the game. They then drop those coin values over time, making it more and more difficult to progress through levels. Do not start to play, the game will frustrate and upset you down the road after you get addicted.

Over $4000 in 20 days! I know I didn't make the exact same purchase twice in one minute over and over again, but the charges are on my credit card. Also, you have to buy 5 more moves at a time (when it shows you only need one), and they take all unused moves away. 900 coins for the first 5 and add 1000 for each additional 5 coins. Additionally, they misrepresent how many moves remain by using hidden layers that appear during the game. Royal Theft!

After many levels I've deduced the game is rigged. They intentionally don't give you matches that can provide the tools needed, but then after you fail and and some blocks clear, then an abundance of everything you need suddenly fall into view in an attempt to get you to buy coins to keep playing. I've also caught it cheating when I had a light ball and propeller that should have cleared the whole screen, yet ALL of them went to ONE thing that would have only used 4 propellers normally.

If you have to play a level more than 20 times to finally clear it then the game becomes boring and you lose interest. I played it for years and got tired of it bc of that. Started playing it again and quickly remembered why I stopped in the first place. No other game I'm playing or have played is that hard to move forward

Was a fun game until you reach a certain level and it purposely makes the level unnecessarily hard even if it isn't labeled as a hard level. Unless you have the super light ball it's hard to pass levels. It's also to the point where each level you lose at and have to reattempt the level over and over again. Edit: Keep getting tired of losing my boosters each level I play. And its purposely not letting me get a match for that one final task you have to make and you have to redo the whole level.

They used to have a multi-player competition to win up to 10,000 coins, but in the last 2 weeks, they've changed it to an individual competition for 200 coins, whoppie! They have also reduced the coins you win per level and made it more difficult to pass levels. So basically, a "free" game now wants you to spend money to pass levels. Can you still pass them? Yes. But, if you want to win/ complete competitions, money up! It used to be a great game too!

False Advertising, though I honestly expected that. Just another match 3 where you decorate different areas. Except you don't actually get to choose any designs and you barely get to do the stuff that they show in the ads. If you're gonna a get a match game, choose any of the other false advertising games. At least in those ones you'll have options on how things look

It takes way to long to complete a level. Also, when I get the special Sparkle Ball of many colors I never see it because the game does not present 5 in a row. I also came within 1 card of gettting them all. Never was able to get it. I'm just about to uninstall. Level 1485 is stupid and impossible. I spent money for 35 more moves and still didn't come close. I think I will just play Golf Clash. When it's too hard after spending money you lose players and money.

Not worth playing. Not as advertised. Only save the king when he's having a nightmare about every 50 levels. Once you spend your first dollar the game changes to where you can't pass anymore levels even the "easy" ones without spending money. Cust support knows this but just gives a generic default script about improving game play on future(lie). Don't fix their glitches and are only after your money. Play match frenzy instead. At least that really doesn't cost you anything and worth your time.
