Thanks Mrs. Rebecca Lowe, Tim Howard, British Genius(Sorry, forgot your name friend), absolutely beautiful studio, that solid prestige clear glass table is on my shopping list for my budiness floor). It’s always important to give credit where credit is due, I understand I’m the real deal, no sugar coating anything, I speak my mind as I speak truth, my truth are facts based, not emotion opinion based, plus I don’t have a hater drop in my body, so last season I was upset and said not so nice comments, this season I clearly se the improvements and that’s when I do what I do and give credit to the EPL crew, all 5 including the 2 British folks in the Uk commentating the life matches. I love my British friends, I adore the English language, English way of life, English intellectualism is impressive and long live our beautiful world game, long live England Nation, long live the EPL. Rebecca Lowe and Company keep up the great work, much love from Portland, Oregon- Cheers Best Health, Good Wealth, Be Happy, Score a Worldly - Nadir N.

Great app!! Only thing I wish was different/better is the app for the PS4. It might be the PS4 itself but I can't watch anything in the app. I have to go to the website to watch the games/event. Other than that I really like the app. I like how you can choose multiple teams to follow as well as your favorite(s). It's great video quality (HD) as well. Every once in a while for about 2-3 minutes it might be a bit laggy or blurry. Again that could be the platform I'm watching on, I'm not too sure.

Great golf "radio show." The first 5 hours of coverage of the Masters has no cameras in the course. I get the visual satisfaction of seeing a scoreboard occasionally, but no "live" play. Many talking heads, still pontificating on what will happen during the rest of the week. I found the best way to experience NBC Sports coverage was to set my screen down and just listen to the commentary. There is nothing to see. Furthermore, I'm paying for this Optional App-and still have COMMERCIALS! Ugh!

This app freezes in the middle of live games and has no way to refresh the stream when it does. And the most infuriating part is when you press back and restart the stream, it makes you watch an ad. Even though it's live TV and I have a paying subscription. Really terrible experience to have to reload streams like this and be forced to sit through an ad just to fix an issue with the stream.

Way too many commercials on replays. App gets stuck on Programming Will Resume Shortly screen. Spoiler alert programing doesn't resume Controls are awkward. I hit fast forward & program goes back several minutes & I have to watch several minutes of commercials to get back close to where I was. Allot 2x the program length to watch a replay b/c of all the stopping, restarting, rewatching, and commercials.

I’m ok with paying a fee for service, just like I do for Netflix or HBO GO, but personally I feel NBC is going a little far to charge a fee per sport/interest. Just have the fee for all-access to content like other services, instead of being locked out of all content but still being able to visually see it all. I don’t think anyone at NBC actually uses the App because long, long ago they would have desired to place the option to easily rewind/fast forward either in 15-30 second increments, or/and in using the app on the phone or through the T.V. allow the viewer to see content while in NBC’s version of “scrolling” through content to find the spot you are looking for. Old School VHS players rewind easier. The viewer is forced to sign in over and over again so the least NBC could do is actually remember where the user is in their personal content in one channel when switching from different devices. Netflix will remember where you currently are in their content with a multitude of shows, NBC can make the app remember where I am with my siphoned/filtered down content to one game on two personal devices. I appreciate that NBC has allowed me to watch Rugby in America, and I want to continue this relationship but possibly from your end (at NBC) continue to make the product work better for your users.

Absolutely horrible implementation of chromecast. The app will not stay on in the background, the cast randomly ends for no reason every 5 - 10 min. Pretty much worthless if you want to just sit back, put the game on your chromecast and enjoy. When it does work though, the quality is quite good and the coverage is great for premier league. Just wish it was consistent

This is the worst streaming app I've ever used. I'm using a cable login to watch football on my Chromecast. It works for a little while but the second it starts to slow down or freezes and I have to reset it the app will no longer cast to the Chromecast. The only way I've found to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall the app and restart my Chromecast. Do not use unless you live somewhere where you can't get NBC on an antennae like me.

Clunky, difficult to navigate. Good luck finding the program you're trying to watch, even though you're locked into your specific region, your home page is loaded with suggestions you would never want and couldn't watch anyway because it's outside of your network. Once you do find what youre looking for; maybe it'll load, maybe not. And if it does, get ready to watch some commercials.

Downloaded app to watch the Olympics. Got it set up and they said I could only have 30 minutes of free watching before I'd need to buy a subscription. Started the 30 minutes, only for the first 5-10 minutes to be one ad after another. Saw about 7 minutes of downhill skiing (figure skating that was supposed to be playing live at the time, which is what I'd been wanting to see). Then the screen cuts out to a "broadcast will resume shortly" page--- for the rest of my allotted free time! B.S.

Now I can't watch any Giants games because the app (android and fireTV) cannot authorize my credentials "because this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy." I've watched their streams for years (sometimes on fireTV, sometimes on my PC, and sometimes through this app) and have put up with their spotty connections, authorization errors, and just plain incorrect blackouts for the entire time. NBC Sports was always bad at streaming, but this year they somehow lowered the bar. 👎👎

2024: Completely usless and unacceptable from one of the largest companies on the globe. Unorganized, no sorting by sport 2016:Its been three years and they have still fixed nothing! They constanly pitch the app on tv and it simply does not work. Every time i try and watch a match it crashes, and when it does work casting will usually work for a short period before crashing. I have given them the benifit of the doubt for years, but i couldn't watch the match today and enough is enough, fix it!

App is 105% trash. Full of ads to the point where you cant see content, guesses at your cable provider and is usually wrong, when you finally go through the multi step process of convincing the app that you can watch the sports you've already paid for, they're hard to find and will be spoiled for you. When watching live, most of your screen is promos and maybe 25% of the screen is dedicated to the thing you bought and paid for. Is, essentially, thievery. Do not download.

The ads randomly interject in the middle of a video, and the video does not pause while the ad is playing, so you miss parts of the action. If you play three 1-minute clips, it is sometimes possible to be forced to watch 3 minutes of ads... Which means 50% of your viewing time can be ADVERTISING. This is ridiculous. It's like I downloaded an infomercial app that happens to play a few sports clips from time to time.

The stream constantly drops with Chromecast. It takes a couple of minutes to get it back up and casting, but then we're subjected to the same commercials time and time again after restarting. Not worth the effort. Update: Nearly 4 years since my original experience and things haven't gotten any better. Programs suddenly end in the middle of the event. Attempts to restart bring up a different program altogether. And chromecasting is hit or miss.

Every time I want to watch something on this app, I need to go my TV settings, force close the app, and re-open. Otherwise, I'll just get a blank screen with three blinking dots until the end of time. Every. Single. Time. Which is very annoying during baseball season when I use this app almost everyday. 2025 update: Still constantly gets stuck on the loading screen, except now force stopping and restarting doesn't work. Neither does clearing the data or cache. Completely useless and unusable.

Forced to watch commercials, forced to scroll past things I don’t want, forced to scroll one day at a time (it takes me about 20 taps to get to the content I paid for), forced to remember where I stopped watching a replay (and then forced to watch a commercial again before I can skip to where I left off), and forced to restart/re-enter credentials/re-activate my device/select all the pictures with traffic lights in them/check my email for an activation link...my dinner got cold guys, I don’t have the time, and I’m questioning if it’s worth paying for. Once I get in, it’s good; but I have to do 100% of the work - you could have basically given me a long sorted list of text links and it would be about the same mental effort. If any of your UI/UX / customer research / app design / product managers / MBA’s have LinkedIn profiles, I would suggest seriously considering whether you should list the NBC Sports app as part of your work history. If your resume ever came across my desk and you listed this app, I will have a lot of questions for you as to why you think any of this is focused on your user. And don’t get me started about how I have to pay for 3 different kinds of TV if I want to make sure I can watch all of the sport you offer. I mean, I just don’t need sports this bad.

Like so many other reviewers, I too am a cable cutter, and someone who has watched the Olympics ever since I was also that little 4 year old performing camel spins on the ice rink her dad built on the back patio every winter with dreams of Peggy Fleming, the 7 year old blazing down the mountains dreaming of Jean Claude Killi, the high school student cheering on Mark Spitz because one of his swim teammates attended my own school, and so on. The Olympics belongs to EVERYONE, not just cable subscribers! This app claims to give you full access...but does NOT tell you it's for a supposed 30 minute free trial per day, that's broadcasting 12 minutes of commercials. NBC bought the rights years ago - and standard broadcasts deliver content with the endless commercials to pay for the licensing. I'd put up with the commercials gladly, if I got to watch an entire curling match start to finish, a whole hockey game, a complete qualifying series for luge and skeleton and bobsled, the entire race for all the alpine skiers from gold medal to last place finishers - which is EXACTLY what those cable subscribers get. The enhanced coverage is very well done - but the teaser time limited amount is INFURIATING!!! My very cheapskate self would consent to paying for the app, if it actually allowed me to watch even the standard coverage, nor the full live streams and replays. I plan to delete this thing as soon as the Olympics are over...infuriating!

There are periods where you work and then an app update comes along and throws it all down the toilet again. As a customer all I want is a reliable way to watch the premier league and that is definitely not the case with your app. It's incredibly annoying to wake up early before the game only to realize the app is not working and you miss a significant chunk of the beginning. Then there's also the issue with the advertisements popping up randomly in the middle of the game or the app crashing and having to completely reload including the advertisements before I'm able to watch again. Been using the app for years and I don't understand how you keep messing it up. A more understandable issue is the delay from live TV. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten texts from friends about immediate results and goals prior to me seeing them. Like I said this one is understandable since its a stream. Test it before releasing please to ensure proper functionality. And then there's the issue of the gold membership locking out certain games for an extra monthly fee. I might have purchased it if I had any confidence in the app. At the time I'm writing this review, the average is 2.1 stars. Take the hint NBC Sports. Before exploiting fans, at least have a functional app. I'm currently streaming the game I want to watch using an illigitamate stream instead of yours. Hey at least no advertisements. 1 star!

NBC app is horrible, but I would say it's the terrible ad mechanics that destroys this app. For instance, I'm watching a sports replay. It starts with ads. The game hasn't started so I fast forward but can't because of the ads. I move several minutes ahead once able to and have to wait for the same ads to play again. Guess what, still hasn't started. So I fast forward again...and once again, here come the ads. It's ridiculous. It's overkill. It's says alot about your business.
