After paying for an ad-free experience, I started to have a lower limit to the number of currencies. When I deleted a currency, I still wasn't able to add any more. I'm just told I've reached my limit. I never had a limit before and now I can't add a currency when I travel. This only happened after I paid for ad-free, which is ridiculous.
Review Update (March 2026): I previously gave this app a high rating, but I am forced to revise it. I sent multiple emails to Digitalchemy support because features were removed from my "lifetime subscription". no response, ignored for months. no support. I will restore my original positive rating once the team acknowledges my tickets and provides a resolution. Until then, be aware that support unresponsive to multiple emails. reloading app did nothing.
Currency Converter is very easy to use, gives you the current rate of exchange, (however you need to keep in mind that its rate of exchange will be different from that of the ATM or bank from which you are getting cash while abroad), and it allows you to accurately know what you are spending in your native currency. The free app impressed me enough that I will purchase the "Pro" version before my next trip.
Does what it's supposed to do without issues most of the time. Comes in handy for when shopping online at sites that only list their prices in a foreign currency (Euros, Pounds, etc.) to find out how much that is in USD or in similar cases. It's free if you have a Play Pass subscription, otherwise it's ad-supported, but it has 3 different pro upgrade options if you want to get rid of those. Overall, this is an excellent no muss no fuss easy to use app... 👍🏻
I love this app, it got me through my most recent trip to Jamaica. What I've noticed since returning back to the states, I'm always getting a popup message with a pic of the app stating, "no internet connection". It's off putting and highly suspect. At first I thought my phone was continuously dropping the wifi signal but that wasn't the case. It ONLY pertains to this app. I'm not to sure what's happening and why it's happening but if it doesn't stop happening I'll have to remove the app.
