Best announcer app out there ! I've been using this app for over 10 years and have never had an issue. I'm not the type of guy that would generally write reviews, but why not. Very prompt, with adding a full team or something as small as a mispronounced last name change. Would recommend to anyone, especially coaches in baseball !
we have used Ballpark DJ for several years now. The kids love it. It definitely makes a difference in their confidence. It is very easy to use and inexpensive. The professional voicing is awesome and highly recommended.
i downloaded this application about a year ago. However, I never used it, downloaded a different application, and used that all last year. we played a team that was using ballpark DJ and WOW! I always say you get what you pay for. In this case, it is extremely 0! The real ballpark announcements are amazing. I personally used Michael Araujo. His voice gets you pumped! Easy to use application, straight forward. Order supervoice to give you that added ballpark feel. I recommend Michael Araujo
Amazing!! took less than 24 hours to receive it. I had 1 small correction that needed to be done within 3 hours for the finals. I emailed them and was lucky enough to have it fixed within 1 hour!!! and what can I say about the quality of the voice!! I'm from Quebec so some names are hard to pronounce because of the French accent but this wasn't a problem for these guys!! I'm so impressed. don't hesitate to use it. I regret not buying it earlier in the season.
This is a fantastic app! Sure, if you have other editing software, you could prepare the walkup songs yourself, but ballpark DJ makes it so much easier. You can adjust at what point you want the song to start and you can overlap the voiceover wherever you like as well. It's super easy. I also purchased the professional voiceovers and couldn't be happier with that service. I placed my order at night and when I woke up the next day, it was ready. I highly recommend!
This is fantastic! It's very easy to add the music that the children want, and cropping the songs just how we need them. The introduction sounds great. Pronunciations are on point. I am so happy that we found this app. Our 9U team is going to be so hyped up by their new walkout. This company was very quick to respond, as well as happy to re-record for us, for just a tiny change that we wanted. I would definitely recommend them.
I am now the hero of little league and t-ball. The app is terrific. It's very easy to move to the next batters and the "STOP" button cuts off the music smoothly when I need to cut an intro short. In addition to uploading all of the player intros with music, I have also downloaded MP3s of ballpark organ music and uploaded the songs into the app. That way, in between innings, I can play fun songs. The other parents love it. If I have to switch phones, I'll be sad if my hard work goes to waste, so hopefully this can upload into the cloud sometime.
This is a great app! Must have to spice up the game experience for kids. Great customer service and support. For those thinking that it will be too complicated to setup, don't be! I will admit it seemed like it was going to be overwhelming, but once you install the app and follow the instructions, very easy to setup! Professional voice recordings sound amazing. I was able to import music from Zedge and by converting songs from YouTube. Total cost was 6.99 for the app and around $40 for the professional voice recordings (2.99 per kid).
This is my second season using this app with Joe Martinez as the announcer...The Kids and the families really love it. I've had nothing but compliments on the pronunciation of our players names, especially those with Spanish names. I needed one correction due to an error on my part and it was quick and easy to have corrected, re-recorded and sent back before game day!. Love this app!
This app is awesome. I've had to redo my girls names multiple times because they keep changing their minds, and the announcers are quick to change. And the app itself is so easy to use... the girls love it. Also, all these people complaining about not getting anything for free. REALLY??? Is that how life works?? They show you enough to try it out, if you like it, then you buy it for unlimited teams and players.. how hard is that?? Entitled much???
The kids love this. It really does help their at bat stats. We used Michael A. these past 2 seasons, and he literally sounds like you're at a pro game. He also has one of those nostalgic sounding announcer voices like he was there commentating on Babe Ruth's games. You won't regret this app. P.s.: Our coach pays for our teams walk-out intros, which is awesome! Each parent, if willing, can pay the dugout dj 3.99 for their player's announcement, which is totally affordable.
I love the app! My only complaint is sometimes it take a while to open for some reason.
I've used the app for 3 seasons now and was rather disappointed to see that the app I paid for has changed to a subscription based model from a one-time fee. Functionally, I'd like to see it easier to move players around in the order. On android, it can be very hard to get the app to recognize when you are pressing the small area on the right of the screen. Quite often it will think I'm sliding left or right and I will lose the work I've done and have to start over.
All the new updates for this app are limited to the iPhone. there is no soundboard option or organization tools like the update/video shows for Android. it's just okay, I wish there was a way to link to Spotify like how it links to Apple music otherwise it's a ton more work to add songs.
The end result is that I have walkout music for the kids in our baseball team. However, the setup is a pain, even just simple things like setting the batting order is not intuitive. And trying to switch devices for practical reasons (tablet instead of phone) was also tough because the music only synced for 6 out of 10 players, for some reason. It was as if it took a previous iteration of the setup from days ago instead of the current one. So it works but is poor in app build and ease of use.
This seems to be an app made only for Apple phones. To get it to work on an Android phone, you are required to download a separate app not deemed safe by Google and therefore unavailable on Google Play. You also don't get a refund if you refuse to download the separate app. Android users beware. I'm giving it 2 stars because Apple users don't have the same challenges, as far as I know.
This app is NOT user friendly for Android devices. Between having to download the music to Amazon music and then transfer the mp3 file to your actual phone its just so time consuming, frustrating, and disappointing...watch your storage space on you device. I had an older version of this app that worked so much easier. I could download the music from Amazon music and then just upload it to the kids space on the app. 😭
New user to this app & I will say that it worked great at first but wasn't long until it crashed??!! Like only a couple games in long... And In the middle of a game🤦🏻♀️. Had some upset little boys! Impossible to trouble shoot. Closed and reopened several times with no luck (blank white screen)... I've even uninstalled/reinstalled and I'm still getting a blank white screen.
This app is not user-friendly for Android users. Trying to figure out how to addmusic is insane. There is no instructional videos, only instructions. The instructions tell you to download Simple Song collector but it doesn't show you how to do it. I thought I did it, then I look up a song and nothing comes up. So if you are not tech savvy this is not the app for you.
I paid what was originally a one time fee of $11 for this app. Now I am being forced into a subscription model every year when we only use this app for baseball. That's a 1 yr subscription for 2 or 3 months. It doesn't make sense! I refuse to pay into this annually at their pricing for a couple months. It's short sighted. Not to mention the subscription ends after June so half the season is gone and kids have already enjoyed the walk-ups. Now I must pay again or disappoint the kids. BAD!
