Nothing new to say here, I’m sure you have all read the countless reviews on dice algorithms. The game developers promise this is randomized but there’s an odd pattern to it that makes it look purposely done. If the 1 and 6 spots are blocked at the opposing players side I promise you’ll roll a 6 1 and be stuck there. This can’t be random. For people who play this in real life they know exactly what random dice combos look like. This game will give a player 3-4 doubles in a row. Statistically if you take 2 dice throw it the odds of rolling doubles a SINGLE time is 16.6%.... the fact that some people get it 3 or 4 times in a row is not impossible but statistically not probably at all. That’s a 1 in 1296 occurrence and you can look this up. I’ve played about 600 games on the app and this has happened multiple times so developers please realize that when we say it’s not randomized we don’t mean you guys rig the games but the algorithm for the dice are extremely unrealistic and you should find the proper solution. I know I’m gonna get a message saying “ we can assure you we use the best dice algorithm blah blah blah”. I know you guys tried but please look for a better way of doing this because it ruins the game.
Highly addictive backgammon game. I wish I could pay and not see the endless ads. I wish they had tablea where my opponents had fewer than 90 seconds to make a move. The 90 second grace period is especially irritating when the opponent gives up, and -rather than forfeiting the game- simply disengages with their screen still turned on.
Only played 2 games. Not the same game graphics as was advertised. Don't like the game stepping in to move my pieces for me when it thinks I'm stuck or too slow. Stop it! I don't like the automatic moves at the end..need to be able to turn that off. Same basic gameplay as I've had with others. Need to just find actual ppl to play in reality. Done.
Game is rigged, you can only win the prizes and extra cards by paying money. More often than not, while ahead and you offer a double, the opponent you win. Opponent receives more double during high stake games. Very rarely are you playing an actual person. Would be nice to sincerely play a real person... but if you like losing to a computer that poses as a person, then go ahead and download, just don't spend any money... unless you have some just burning a hole in your pocket.. then go for it!
Think twice before you purchase coins on this site. After years of just ignoring the SUPER SPIN, I decided to give it a try. A huge mistake! The lowest amount on the wheel was 470,000 coins with a maximum of 3 million for 99 cents. Pretty tempting, right? Well, once I paid, rather than letting me spin the wheel, they just added 90,000 coins to my account. 90,000? Why? So I sent an email, the response was the “free Mega Bonus” randomly lands on a slot. Keep spinning and good luck!!!! In other words, the person did not even read my post. So, I took a screen shot of the wheel and sent it with more explanations. They then added another 10,000 coins. Again, I sent another screen shot of the wheel with more explanations. I added I did not understand why the person was ignoring the problem and demanded that they either refund me the .99 cents or let me spin the wheel to collect what is rightfully mine. At the same time, I contacted the app which I used to pay for the wheel spin and asked for a refund. This morning, again another 500,000 coins were added to my account rather than letting me spin the wheel. I am totally exhausted dealing with this game site. Never again will I purchase coins from them. It is not worth the hassle! Thank you for posting your review. Question randomness of rolls. Lose opening roll 80+% of the time, opponent regularly gets 4 or 5 doubles, I'm lucky to get more than 1. Opponent resigns while I'm bearing off, about to backgammon them, yet I only score a single point. Will accept a double, win, and score a single point. Do like the app, sporting a 60% win percentage, which I feel should be higher because after a 4 or 5 game win streak which, based on games played, should increase my win percentage by over 1%, I'm stuck at 60%.
First few games must be with bots because I won to easy. I have been in backgammon tournaments as a hobby on the side so I am very well experienced with the game. When I first began it was fun. What really bugged me was how there would be countless times when I absolutely could have made a move and then the game said I couldn't. Happened game after game after game, and it got to a point thus lead me to not play much. Aside from that a solid backgammon app for new players that are learning.
I like the setup, and the interface. I have some serious doubts about the randomizer for the "dice" after 6 consective games in which it seemed like 60% or more of all of my rolls totalled 5 or less, without any doubles. Median for larger quantities of rolls should be 7, and half of all individual dice rolled should show 4-6 (totals of 3, "easy 4", and 5 should be less than 30% of results)
Hellaciously bad randomizer for rolls. Opponent gets 6, yes 6, doubles in a row! I get rolls of 1 and 2 or 3 and 2. The higher your opponents level to yours the more likely they are to get exactly what they need to hit you. You get 45 seconds to make your move so why give them another 90 seconds? If they disconnect the game tells you so I see no point in over 2 minutes for them to forfeit the game due to inactivity.
I feel like a lot of this game is rigged and you are playing the computer most of the time. I won 19 out of my first 20 games, and now it is less than 20%. Plus, my opponent always gets timely doubles. Don't like how you have to accept challenges or you lose. Just like slots. It's easy to keep 'it fair' when the majority of players are the house.
Way too many billboards when signing in. And in the newest update, if you don't share your FB friends they force you to reconnect to FB everytime you open the app. And when doing so, they hope you just reconnect without editing their access because they've defaulted the friends list access to "on". To keep my friends list private, I now have four extra steps just to be able to play. No means no! Update; I agree with all others who say there is nothing random about the RNG.
Fun game. Like most reviews that I've read, it seems as though if you don't spend money, you will not win. I've been in many matches where the opponent either gets perfect rolls or multiple doubles. The purchase ads are too much when logging on. Trying to get the update now but, so far, it will not update. Oh well, there are more games out there!
Let's you win at first (won 1st 12 games in a row and now with no more coins, I win 1 out of 4 with unfathomable dice combinations (same roll 4 times in a row etc) so you think it's just temporary bad luck in hope you'll buy coins to continue or watch an ad. The game's AI logarithm is smart. Caveat Emptor! Buyer beware! Other games show your game stats and lifetime stats (eg. 16% doubles after 1000 games), I think this game should show stats if it claims the dice rolls are random.
5/3/25 have been playing for years now, still love the game, but, all the reviews saying dice rolls aren't random, I say 0!! I believe this app is set up so you lose more often than not, needing to purchase coins to continue playing. The games within the app, same, less and less wins,have to spend more money, bet bigger. Then they take it all.
I'm giving you 2 stars because your support staff on Whatsapp are amazing and helpful. this app keeps crashing/freezing at the end of the match when I'm about to win or finish a challenge. My WiFi service is perfect. it happens every night around the same time. I can't play at home anymore because it's infuriating. I love this app above the others even though I've been disappointed with it for years. but this suck's.
Don't waste your time!! This app makes it so you don't play or you have to buy coins! They also have an online store where you can go once per day and get a free gift. It's a slap in the face! You either do not receive it, or it's like 4 gems or maybe 400 coins. It takes over 600,000 to 100,00 to play 1 game if you don't double. This was a really good app, but in last year or so, it has really become FUBAR!!!
all about making money, and how they can get you to spend yours.... I enjoy playing backgammon, on this app I am disliking it. This game gives you a feel of how every roll, move or piece put into home is manipulated or controlled by the programmer. The odds on how the dice get rolled are crazy, doubles you cannot use almost every time you get knocked out??? Try to find an app that's about the game, cause it's not here. Only manipulation and money is what you'll find. it's being deleted
Terrible. Game always favors your opponent, even if you have better "rolls" as soon as you double it or are about to win, the game will not give uou any dice you need, but somehow the opponent has perfect numbers to finish the game with no hiccups. Defiantly a scam game against computers. Oh and you have to click out of like 10 in game purchase menus before you can even get to the home screen. And they make you watch random 30 second ads without the options to exit, while still getting jo reward
Don't bother! This game is SO fixed! Your opponent (suspiciously always a bot) will roll doubles several times every game and even if and when YOU finally do, you won't be able to use them! I've played backgammon for decades and the odds of your opponent's rolls here are nearly impossible in reality. No matter how far ahead you may be, the bot will surpass you and win, more often than not.
This game frustrates me so much. not only does my opponent always seems to win, i guess I am bad at this game. Whenever an opponent doubles the bet, if you don't accept, you will lose the match. The most frustrating thing is I can't even play the game because I am out of coins. The smallest match costs 200 coins and I have exhausted all avenues to get more coins except using real money.
It's very frustrating, the rolls are definitely NOT RANDOM!!! Every single time i have a hit piece, I roll double sixes, but cannot put the piece down. The odds of this happening every single time are astronomical. it's horrible. I paid to buy coins. but I'm uninstalling the app. it's not worth the aggravation.
I have been played hundreds of thousands of games of backgammon at a very high level for over 40 years and have seen more than my fair share of unusual and amazing rolls , games, matches and tournaments. This site, Lord of the board, however, takes the cake by obliterating the laws of probability to levels that would make a stats professor tear his hair out and vomit in disbelief. At one point I started filming a series of 25-30 straight losing games that looked like a script from Jackass or Punked. Opponent need 3 straight dub 6s to win? No problem whatsoever. Opponent has 3 on the bar with your home 5 spot only open. Not only will they out with the dub 5s but you get hit as well with regularity. I will be posting this video somewhere soon for all to see the mathematical marvel that is emblematic of this ridiculously bogus program/game. Thank God I don't play for money on this site because it is so predictably fixed that I could write a novel citing dozens of examples of their patterns of unethical foolishness that have a virtually zero probability of happening in a real game. And they happen with predictable regularity. Chatting with an opponent has been eliminated to protect their computer generated players masquerading as human ones. If you want to experience the most frustrating exhausting and infuriating and fixed game on the planet then by all means download Lord of the Board. They will deliver all of the above and more. The most frustrating game ever. Is really fun for a while. They do a decent job of making it fun early to get you to buy coins to up your levels. Then you go on 30 game losing streaks regardless of how well you play. Opponents (bots) get crazy combinations of dice or 4 doubles in a row to end the game over and over again. If yo happen to play another real person it's very fun, but hard to tell sometimes. The game itself was very well designed and works well.
If you want to play REAL backgammon, hop on PlayOk or another reputable site. This app is a complete money-grabbing sham, and for them to say otherwise is even worse. I honestly don’t know where to begin. Their “online standard” 15% minimum rake is blasphemy. Maybe if one could cash in the coins for real money, that would make sense; similar to a casino poker room. But not only are you buying coins that have zero monetary value, they skim off your winnings, making it virtually impossible to get ahead in coins. And that is even with a >50% win rate! The dice algorithm is absolutely cooked. If you’re miles ahead, prepare to see double after double after double. If you’re on the bar looking at 3 open spaces, you can almost forget about getting in. Then (you guessed it!) doubles to block you in. The game plays impossibly “lucky”. I can’t count how many times I’ve opened the game with a 5-1 or 6-2, get hit immediately, and don’t get off the bar until after the opponent has eaten 4 blots. The odds of that happening once are less than 0.1%, so the fact it’s happened on multiple occasions on this app tells you everything you need to know. Not to mention I have never had that happen in my favor. You are a fool if you give these crooks your hard earned money. First, in regards to the rake fee, where a small amount (and not 15%) is deducted from each opponent, this is a very common practice in online games and is unrelated to your opponent’s balance. These engines are being constantly monitored, and have proven to be very trustworthy. We have no control over the games’ outcomes, which depend solely on your skills and the luck of the dice. Every time I've won an entire album I've lost it all back in usually 1-2 weeks. Game play is severely slanted for you to loose your coins, then you get bombarded with ads to buy coins. It's simply amazing how many times the opponent can roll a combo with both dice and get exactly what's needed to hit your chip. Example: You have your opponent on the bar and the 1 spot is the only thing open spot, and you have a chip in the 7th spot. Boom, they'll roll a 1 and 6.
I’ve been playing this app for awhile. It has beautiful graphics but totally same game all the time. If there are real people playing on this app it’s hard to tell with the heavy handed bots controlling every aspect of the game. The bots try to destroy you with exact rolls and then you get typically blocked and have only one move. It is the MOST UNREALISTIC backgammon game out there. Find a friend to play with instead of using this app. I think often of the game developers and wonder if they are trying to get people to hate backgammon? It seems they are intent on creating a negative experience when you just want to play a few games to unwind. How can you unwind when you are entering into a unfair game from the start? I finally figured out that actually they are all bots with a real person playing once in awhile. No one wants to play a unfair game to have fun. I mean that’s the point right? The point is to have fun and improve your game? How can you do that when the game already knows it’s next move. So my advice, identify the bots and let people know when they are playing the machine. I feel like I’m playing the same game every time I can predict their moves cause it’s just like the last game. THIS GAME COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER BUT it’s not. The house always wins. The odds are stacked against you. I constantly play opponents that somehow hit "miracle rolls" all the time. My win percentage is 35%. I truly believe the app is designed to keep you losing so you can buy more coins. I've lost a lot of matches, but not because I don't know how to play. I lost a match to an opponent who started the game by rolling doubles 4 times in a row and finished by rolling doubles 3 times in a row. I got doubles once that match. Similar things happen quite regularly.
Awesome game awful set up. You lose more game money than you ever win back. For instance on a 200 game it costs you 200 to play. Then if you lose it subtracts another 200 for losing. But if you win, you get your original 200 for playing and then just a few coins for winning. Should be an even pot. Each player puts in 200. Winner takes the pot. And it also continuously pops up trying to get you to buy more coins.
this is the most corrupt game in the app store. When you first start playing, you will win a bunch of games. When you start buying coins, the opponents will get tons of 6s and doubles. Your opponents (bots) will not have much money, but it shows in their profile that they have won millions of coins, yet they have 3k. They will double you quickly, and then the doubles come even quicker. Their rolls will then e perfect. Don't buy coins that trigger the bots.
Believe the critical reviews. Game is set up for you to lose. Cannot get all cards in a set. Just when you have 9 out of 10, it flips to another set. Do NOT spend money on this game unless you want to see how fast you will lose it. Worst game, gives opponents exact rolls they need. Most high ranking players are playing low dollar amount games. Tell you anything??
